Technically, yes. You use the cold water and correct amount of grounds (quite a bit more than you'd think...) and let it sit for the right amount of time... I don't know how long in that size though. A large batch in my pitcher runs around 18-20 hours depending on what grounds I use. But once the time is done, you strain it.
