UPDATE probably nobody is here lol from when I asked this but I got my yearly subscription on 30th november last year, my credit renewed on 28 febuary (I know there is no 29/30) but way too early, and then next month it again updated 2 days too early. Why not? If all it does is make the groupings more readable to me and doesn't hurt the gen - why not? If it somehow also makes the algo understand what should be grouped together - why not? If it starts making gens suck - I remove them and see if anything fixes; usually not.

You can write a style block in normal language, or invent a fake script format for it, it still ends up similarly. I assume either way it goes through an llm layer that tries to map your intention out and both end up with a similar end result

Often, I build the style without the separators first - and then add them as I notice things that need more grouping or emphasis to work together. If I don't need them, they don't go in. But when I make the edit, there's usually a change to the outputs afterward - if they're positive, I keep them in. Not saying it's always useful but it can be.

That's part of how my prompting evolved - back during v4, I started experimenting with various types of simple but longer prompting than anyone I ever saw use (in the lyric box, because the style was super short/limited).

From there some other users in here picked up on it and started experimenting too - Sangderenard, Shiroken, Fenris C, etc. Each evolved their own uses for the longer prompting. And we've all bounced off each other in regards to that multiple times over the last year+ or so.

It's been a fun thing to experiment with.

I think that's true. Part of me wants to do that but another part of me wants to learn to just work with 5.5 since I have an assumption that if their press release holds true and the WMG model will be the only model, we won't have options like those anymore.
