Also for uploading your voice what worked best for me is recording an isolated vocal track (a cover of a song you know well) and listening to the music with head phones while you sing. I also uploaded different genre songs and try to match the genre when creating with my voice because seems to pick up styles from the genre of your song.

Studio isnt a model, its a Tool. Most likely imploring 5.0-5.5 as its throughput model, but you can manually drag in what ever outputs you like from any model.

I assume, any covers or remakes are 5.0 and above.

So you could have a 3.5 track, but if you cover it to make a guitar track, the guitar track will be a 5.0-5.5 version.

When you Save the file, it will clone an exact copy (as close possible) and call it a "Studio" version. So if any artifacts and unwantables, like hiss or shimmer that was in that 3.5 track you dragged in, they would still be in the saved Studio version.

Suno 5.5 doesn’t currently have a separate “replace vocals only” toggle, so to keep the original instrumental while changing just the singer, the best workaround is to first extract the instrumental stem (remove vocals) and then run Cover/Add Vocals using your v5.5 Voice on that stem, and if it still sounds too close to the original singer, lowering the audio influence a bit usually helps your voice come through more cleanly without changing the groove too much.

Some people just keep thinking of the technology as a completed thing. It's not.

It's much more an art than a science at this time, for all AI tech across the board IMHO.

And Suno? It's not a wordprocessor for sound. It just doesn't work that way. You have to nudge it, treat it like soup and season it and try again. Iterate. Test things out.

People who expect to do what those who hate AI claim we do get infuriated when they discover it's not a push-button-get-song process.
