Paratroopers man all I'm saying.
Another bit of feedback: sometimes small objects near the body of the helicopter cause the blades to fly off. In fact, even just a foot-high rock will do it. Also, I feel like the health/durability is too low. It only takes 5-10 rounds from a 50 cal to destroy it, which is really not viable. Just my opinion.
Eventually we want to do that (+ a crew helmet). It's not really a priority right now though
Yeah, I'm working on improving the blade breaking. Also we already improved the damage model some, it's just not on our stable branch on workshop.
Hoping to do fastroping before parachutes. Hopefully we'll have both eventually tho

Everything comes down to art really. We have enough capable artists/tech artists to focus on a small set of vehicles at any given time. Currently spread between the MH6/Suburban/Canberra. If anyone has actual skills in 3d modeling and is interested in helping out, feel free to reach out. Would love to do crew uniforms and gear.

Not too sure if it’s a problem within the mod or if it was our negligence. But it seems to be that on the Blackhawk mod when someone is flying it and you have another player in the pilot side gunner. If you shoot the mini gun back towards the tail rotor ground area, the rounds collide with the helo and cause it to catch fire. I will post links to the video me and my buddy recorded
Hey guys just wanted to let y’all know there is a collision bug with the mini guns on the choppers bullets seem to collide with rear fuselage causing it to smoke nearly instantly
Yup that’s the exact problem me and my unit had. We posted videos above for the mod creators. Hopefully they see these messages

Not much. Just polishing things. Didn't want to release it like the UH60. So we have a working Little Bird, we have lots of skins and variants, it's got some cool NEW features, and should be released without any major bugs or issues. Should just work on launch. Each of the projects we do at the moment include something new and cool. But that's also why the releases have no real dates. The Little Bird isn't the only thing we are working on either. We did a complete rework of the UH60, and some other super secret very cool special things that will be mentioned later.

Holly cow these helicopters look amazing. The level of detail your whole crew puts into these mods is beyond amazing. I can’t wait till these get released. But I also know the longer it takes the better they will become.

You should be able to get 1.1.1 off the workshop in a sec. We pushed 1.1.0 but had to hotfix something real quick. Here are the changes to 1.1.0:

Remember, if you are on Xbox, you may need to delete and redownload the mod for it to update correctly

Holy shit just updated it, fresh as fuck guys love it. Skins look banging and flying, holding a hover and most of all landing is so much nicer now.

I have a suggestion regarding Xbox freelook, it could be click in left stick and hold and then use the already assigned right stick to look around.
Could you use the triggers to adjust yaw and have the left stick be completely free look hate to say it but like gta flight controls?
I mean that makes sense to me depends on if helos are gonna get pilot operated weapons that conflict with that tho
(Xbox Bug maybe) My unit was attempting to use the mod last night. Most of everyone were on Xbox. But every time we would start loading people into the bird their game would crash. Happened multiple times to anyone who got into the pilot seat and far seat all the way at the back of the plane on the copilot side.
We did have this mod enabled with multiple other mods. Not too many assets placed down either. Was only about 8 guys in the helo.
We tried with multiple variants of the bird and got the same results every time. At times I would place down the helo and it would despawn after 30 seconds with no one getting into it.
We are having guys update the mods on their pc’s and see if it works on PC. We ran this mod just fine multiple times before on our server before the update. With the same amount of mods and we never had any problems.
I think I may have created a few video clips of bugs. , but I’ll have to see in a little bit.

Question, the miniguns have sight rails on them now, is it compatible with red dot sights or the modern optics pack?
With the new update. Only issue iv found is when you get in and start the Blackhawk you start to slide in your seat

Or collective (engine power) could be b pad up and down so it doesn’t interfere with yaw, the way this would work is entirely dependent on the mod creators changing collective to stay once put at a certain amount like in war thunder. (Also this might interfere with quick select)
Yeah be when bi adds in theirs helicopters they could use their controller scheme which could allow players to map their own buttons like on war thunder

Any xbox control changes are not really something we can do as it is all BI's control scripts
We will take a look at this and see if we can replicate and fix it on our end

Phenomenal work guys, how much has changed since initial release and this release in terms of flight model? Am I losing it or does it feel way better now?
I only tried at release so I dont have any other comparisons to make
largely just center of mass changes and an increase in top speed
Enjoy the guns on the non mil ones while they last. We didn't have time to make the mount it's own slot. Eventually, there will be armed and unarmed versions. And hopefully extended range and other fun stuff.
And hopefully sight capabilities for the guns 👀

This should be easy enough but no promises. I think the only sight I've seen photos of on the minigun is a holosight though.
Also for anyone wondering about xbox control improvements, I think there might actually be some hackery we can do for custom actions. Again no promises. But I understand a lot more about the inputs and action contexts now than when we started working on this.
This is actually an issue I've raised with the devs btw. Not sure they will ever address it directly, but hopefully they will give us input setting improvements so we have the option to fix it ourselves
There is also some weird inverse math we could do on the inputs to 'undo' this effect, but it would be really janky

Got a quick question, have you guys thought about adding a version of the Blackhawk with M2’s or a version with a Mini gun on one side and a M2 on the other as per real life? (GAU-21 or M3M)
We will eventually offer multiple models and load outs. M240, xm218, m134, etc. Would like a proper uh-60l/A with analog cockpit. Right now we are still more focused with systems than art accuracy, even though we do try to assure art quality is the best we have available.
Honestly I thought it looked good before but this new model looks amazing. Liking the slightly longer take off time and the noise is fantastic when you hear one fly over. Incredible work can't wait to see the other projects I the pipeline if this one is this good already

Guys can you help me please? I am trying 3rd day in a row to add the newest version (1.1.1) to my server, but nobody can connect the server and error is "Game failed to start with selected modes." The only mod on the server is this. In server config is everything absolutely fine (check at least 100x). I deleted previous version in the folder and downloaded it again via workshop, tried even download via connecting on server, but no success - same error message. Playing on PC, crossplatfom is ON, scenario is Conflict. When I try it play in solo mode - no problem.

Are you saving then loading the file to the server
That is not a problem with this mod, but with the game and workshop's current state. There are a few fixes you can try:
Erasing the mods completely, unfav, etc, and then manually adding them back in your game AFTER you restart without them. Also restart once you add them in, but before you try to join.
Do this process with the server to make sure that the server mods are correct versions, or even try resetting the server completely.
Make sure you have your game and all files on SSD.
Make sure, if you are running the server yourself, that you have your ports correctly set up.
The bad thing is that this error is associated with an absolute TON of issues. Some others have found help in #reforger_servers with posting the logs.

for some reason we have found that the following cannot be seen from the cockpit (pilot and co-pilot) seats only:
Any smoke (to include smoke from a campfire)
any type of explosion
i tried taking screenshots from not sitting in those seats as when your in the seats you cannot see it at all.

Are you guys having any problems with players getting booted from the server when in certain seats in the Blackhawk. Or people crashing every time they get close to the helo?

Okay thank you man. Yeah we’ve been having problems with the helo after the update. People both on PC and Xbox keep crashing every time they try to enter it. Was just curious if you guys were having the problem.
i was thinking it maybe a conflicting mod so i tried it with just this mod on, same results

another interesting thing we just found out was an audio glitch
we’ve noticed that (for the pilot only) when someone gets in the co-pilot seat the audio gets a lot louder, and if they get out it gets a lot quieter

Yeah absolutely. Next time I’m on our server I’ll have one of our PC guys see if he can crash and get the log. We took the helo off temporarily. So I’ll have to add it back onto the server

Yes they have all deleted and redownload the mod. We are running a mission tonight so gonna try it out again. And if any of our PC players crash I will have them get the log and send it to you guys.
We’ve noticed a lot of the crashes happening on Xbox mostly. We think it might just be too detailed for Xbox but not too sure since it’s also some of our PC guys crashing.
It might have something to do with loading the lod0 for the mfcd's...

I assume Whenever they add the ambulance to the game it will have some kind of bed for the injured to lie down on so it's different from a basic humvee are there any intentions to make a medical mh60 for when the new update drops maybe bring back the closed door design from the original for it if possible

They are just entities that are created via script when the blades hit, I'm unsure if they are cleaned but we can look into it.
as of several weeks ago they aren't, I imagine garbage manager does not count them as entities to be cleaned

What’s broken with the helicopters? Any videos? Screenshots? Some more info other than “we need fix” would help the mod developers figure out what’s going on.
I have found a couple things
when in the Black Hawk you can not free look in the pilot seat
When in the pilot seat you can shoot the mini gun by pressing RT or the equal key nine on PC
While in the back hawk you can not see smoke
While in the black hawk you can not see the new added runway lights
While in the black hawk when passing over the run the entire cockpit is filled with a bright multi colored lights[ specifically when passing over the new runway lights it self so your fine in the middle of the runway]
The M/S dial has a white box over it

None of us touched the beta branch so there are bout to be issues, we will hopefully get to the issues soon
I’d image there would be not faulting you or demanding you fix it just reporting sum bugs to a simi specific list so you guys have something to go off when you get around to it

hey bro, a couple of things with the heli with the new update, problems with crashes and collisions and also when deleting the object, the problem occurs on the server, and it also happens if you run it in the tool too, sorry to address you but At the moment your mod is the most important for everyone hahaha, and for me more than my people start from the islands hahahahahahaha.... we need you my friend!

Nothing concrete. Fixed a few bugs. Can't fix the flashing light in cabin when near airfield. Feedback report already created for that. Just turn the exterior lights off when near airstrip. Need some for fixes before we push but no eta.

M134 had to be removed. Will keep working on it and get it back in as soon as possible.

There is some crash related to the UH-60 being damaged that only happens on the versions of it with the miniguns. We are working on narrowing down the issue, but to give you something functional we have removed the mounted weapons for now. They will be back soon! Thanks for your patience 🙂
Noticed the new display image which is a nice touch even if non functional and the additional flare units on the tail section which is exciting to see whats coming but thanks for getting a working version back out so fast
Free look doesnt work on xbox. It used to if you hold LT for a second but now it doesnt. Because of that, we cant turn on the lights or anything

It was easier for them to model it into the helo. They plan on removing the guns from the “civilian /rescue” models at a later point. They’ve said it in the past. Just can’t find the post right now.
Is the controller binds set in place or are you guys able to bind any button and if that is the case couldn’t you just configure the controller layout to not use the right stick at all and allow it just to be used for free look

I would recommend not using it in the mean time because deleting it might cause a crash
some feedback for the new update, we put the mod back into the server and basically what we are getting right now is horrible rubber banding for anyone that comes close to it let alone gets in it. the only way we have found to fix it is to leave the server and come back and then stay away from the helicopters. will be removing it until this is fixed unfortunately as it’s just not playable for us atm.

The heli rotor sounds when landing nearby seems way too loud, nothing major but a little tone down might be needed because it sounds like its way too close when in reality it isn’t
Another thing, someone i know mentioned adding rope repelling or rope ladders from the heli would be nice. Thought you guys would like the idea too 🙌
Blackhawks are incredible loud like most US helicopters talking from 1st hand experience ( baring Ah-64 since I don't remember being next to one) the Mi 8 and Mi 24 are actually quieter than any US helicopter larger than a jet ranger

Never flown in one only heard stories but I guarantee the osprey is worse they are literally falling out of the sky in a regular basis

Helicopters are Some black magic wizardry
Never had any issues with ch-47s. Been in an extremely overloaded chinook in Afghanistan. Helicopter simply blared warnings as we slowly climbed over the mountains burning way too much fuel. We landed in Khost, refueled, and went on our merry way. Aside from the leaking hydraulic fluid, it was a pleasant ride.

I took part in the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. The Taliban and AQ didn't offer much in the way of anti air while I was there and we did 1.... Yes 1 air assault in Iraq. To the middle of the desert outside Nasiriya. So I've never really worried about being shot down.

Helo mod makers have confirmed a while ago that they are trying to implement fast roping into the Blackhawk mod. It’s been a while since they mentioned it, but it is something they plan on bringing.

This shouldn't be a problem. It's just defining the wheel signals. The helicopter class doesn't have working wheels, so the Blackhawk has them scripted on. It's part of the reason I love the LittleBird so much. No wheels, just skids.
Got a busy week of testing and tuning coming up. Hopefully we find some of the FPS robbing issues.
Have not tested it yet, but the latest update 0.9.6 had a fix for detaching weapons. Hopefully that fixes the crash we were having with the m134.

We have things we are going to look at. Optimizing geometry, materials. The LittleBird actually has updated code on it that we have not transferred over to the Blackhawk yet. There is room to improve.

The black hawk lags the server heavily when someone disembarks
And it will stay lagging the server heavily until the Blackhawk is deleted
We had the same problem last week after the .9.6 drop when we were doing training. After deleting the Blackhawk it crashed the entire server. For both PC players and Xbox players. FPS drop was insane. Everyone reported getting 7-15 FPS when they disembarked helo.

7-15fps is lucky me and a few others, were hitting 1-5fps after disembarked and continued for several minutes after the Hilo was deleted .
Yep, mod is basically unusable
The heli is definitely causing some stress on the server in some way it’s dropping fps and lag but after it’s deleted everything goes back to normal
The FPS drops massively when the pilot (8/10 times) gets out of the pilot seat. The only fix is to get back in asap or delete the heli from the server asap
Usually everyone other than the one piloting it gets their FPS dropped but if you wait long enough the pilot does too and it takes a long time for the Gamemaster to delete it because they too are lagging really hard
interesting, getting out of the vehicle might mean you are passing physics back to the server, would the client-side physics scripts get confused at that point? maybe they don't know they are not the owner anymore
The MH60 was in are server and was causing passive crashes what I mean by that is when it was in are server and we didn’t even spawn in the heli in the entire session it was crashing back to back after we removed it it stoped crashing and now it hasn’t crashed since
When we also spawned in it it would crash within 10min

Unless I see logs to indicate that it's something else, I'm strongly assuming it's that. Won't be fixed until Bohemia can chase down the issue in the engine.
All good 👍 just giving feedback seems that once the pilot exits the seat that’s when the lag and fps drops but I don’t have the logs I’m on Xbox, but you guys are doing great work can’t wait for the little bird down the road 🙌
Tbh I'm starting to think there's something weird about the camera on the Xbox that I can't test on PC
I've never once tested on Xbox, but I have tested on PC with a controller (which should be the same input scheme as Xbox)

I’d say it’s the engine it’s self there is still a lot that bi has to get under control especially with stability
If anyone that runs a server with the MH60 on PC is out there reading this, and also has FPS drops when the pilots exit, please get in contact with me. Because I have been unable to replicate any of this issue which I believe only Xbox users are reporting.
To put peoples minds at ease, a lot of the known issues with the MH60 we are intentionally ignoring for now because we want to see how BI does helicopters eventually
For minor issues, it makes no sense to dump a bunch of time into fixing it only to completely redo it later
Also, I'm not sure when we will release the MD500, but we will do it before BI releases helicopters. It's close enough that it makes no sense not to

I have tried to reproduce the issue on a dedicated server but I can't really find any issues specific to vacating the pilot seat. There is one script crash that can happen, but it should be inconsequential for server FPS
I have had this happen before. When we have operations involving 18-19 people it happens. I haven't thought to grab the logs, but next time we host one I can get you those!

Even by switching to copilot, turning on panel then switching back will lock your screen to the right. 🥲 love the helicopter and miss the features

We are pushing the new update to the mod under a new workshop account, "Project Redline Mods." The new update will depend on a mod called R3D_CORE, so you shouldn't actually have to manually download it.
Valid question. Moving all our heli scripts / shared weapons (minigun) to the R3D_CORE mod was a major milestone. We didn't want to release two different helicopters with a bunch of duplicate textures, models, and scripts. So with this update pushed, consider us a lot closer.

You will. But since it's a dependency of the blackhawk, the blackhawk mod should auto download the core mod. Hopefully.

I’m testing a couple of times now but when I take off the blackhawk mod, the server seems to show up again
delete all mods from server / reinstall server - there is a bug with servers that breaks mod updates sometimes

I’m speaking about the update for the blackhawk. Server seems to not load with the new update for the mod. When I take it off, the server shows up. Other mods still work fine
every time a mod is updated there's a chance a server will break trying to update it

with battleye rcon they could do remote server admin as well once rcon is fully implemented

A m240 with an eotech on the side of the helo would be really cool to implement down the line. But I definitely love the mini guns for suppressing areas.

So I’m having the same issue I’ve been having last night. After updating the mod, server no longer wants to show. I’ve reinstalled the server multiple times, steam updated it and restarted it to no avail. Not sure what is causing it

Would it be possible to have some sort of low scale explosive Ammunition for the blackhawk miniguns? As it currently stands its somewhat difficult for gunners to hit their targets and do proper stafe runs. (Suggested by a few others)

My bad. I was referring to a blackhawk mounted with a Mk-19 grenade launcer mod. It doesn’t work anymore but it was crazy OP for close air support when it did work

no, they are not. first in Vietnam they found that the 40mm was a terrible weapon system for perpendicular uses on helicopters, it was hard to use and some times the rounds failed to arm. 2nd that statement is supported on the AH-1S cobra (upgraded G to S standard) AH-1S operator manuals specifically say that "the M129 can only be fired with the M28 locked in the forward position." all the testing done in vietnam proves the concept was a failure.

Nah they did use multiple grenade launcher variants on multiple helicopters. Blackhawk, cobra, AH-63 Cheyenne. They still use them albeit obsolete

Yeah, I thought about that too, for now I'm just going to do an ellipsoid model - you have a vector <RCSx, RCSy, RCSz> then the return is just the dot product of that with the transformation
Ultimately in R3D_CORE though anything that gets added will just be an API, individual mod authors would be able to implement it however they want
I don't know if I made it clear here, but our plan with the core mod is to make it so others can depend on it with their own vehicles if they want, it doesn't affect how anything is licensed. Hopefully then we could see some interoperability between mods for things like radar, cargo loading, and other special script stuff

This may be a small issue, but the bearing for East and West is flipped. Another small tidbit is the altitude measurement is different in 3rd person vs 1st. Meters and feet respectively
Another bug i may have found is, looking through Binoculars while spun up causes the view to move erratically like COD when out of breath looking through scope

Thanks. I knew the compass was reversed but it was like 2AM and I didn't bother fixing it before pushing. Also know it's in metric right now, but I'm probably just going to change the display to say "METERS" instead of "FEET."
Didn't know about the altitude signal being tied to the 3rd person camera, but that makes sense I guess... I can script it to always use the vehicle's altitude. Also interesting bug with the camera, I'll have to experiment with that. Thanks!

the external altitude is alt above the ground I'm fairly certain so that is a reason it could be different
there are two altimeters one that uses air pressure (sea level) and radar altimeter (AGL)

HI Guys. I`m playing Reforger on Xbox and love the Mh60. But, i have one problem:
Ai Soldiers jump out of the MH60 when they see enemy soldiers. This only happens when i play on community game master servers.
If i play a local game master, then they stay inside the MH60 till we touch down.
Any ideas or this already known ?

Is the gunner camera in 1st/3rd person supposed to panning up/down depending on throttle of the helicopter?
In addition i may have found a bug where pilots are pivoted outside of the cockpit and are susceptible to damage due to exposure. Even if different pilots, same problem. So far only tan has the issue

I’ve found a bug with helicopters. So when I go into the pilot seat, I am taken outside in front of the cockpit, but I can still fly. The same thing happens to the copilot except for being able to fly.

Perhaps consider making a separate AI bot called “Door gunner” or something and customise his enemy recognition radius by tenfold to allow him to engage while the heli is flown.
first you have to figure out why they aint
I'm thinkin it's because the turret mount is not facing the Z direction, so the AI aims perpendicular to the target instead because it wants to have the target in the Z direction
and also the m240 is offset 90 degrees to the right
so if you rotate the gun mount model 90 degrees you could put the gun with 0 offset and it'd be facing outside?
I’ll give it a try when I wake up in the morning
to test this idea I've set the angle offset to 0 on the weapon and increased the turret max angle to allow movement further to the right (should probably decrease the left value or something as well so it doesnt move into the vehicle)
so the reason this happens is the 90 degree angle offset on the mount, there's a couple ways to go about this but possibly smartest to have the weapon origin points or whatever already pointing in the correct directions

now I have no clue how competent they would be at aiming and firing while the vehicle is moving
I think getting them to shoot in the correct direction is the right move
yes I think you are correct and doing so would be an improvement
Detecting range would need to be increased anyways since you’ll be flying past enemies at a fairly fast speed
its like 700m by default so should be enough, but their way of aiming is not able to track targets very fast
Either way they won’t do well as door gunners unless something is increased . Wether it be detection range or the turret turning rate etc
some kind of allowed aiming error maybe, so they dont wait for target to be precisely in their sights to fire
if i Hover in the air for about 15 seconds, the gunner will fire a couple of times. but only very short bursts of fire.

Technically the vehicle damage component should calculate collision damage but doesn’t work at the moment
maybe that's why applying collision type damage didn't work for me

more livery variants More liveries means a bigger mod, I personally think that to keep it accessible we need to keep the mod as small as possible.
I’d say maybe take out one of the least liked variants an replace it with one that most people would want as mentioned previously by other people a medevac variant as a suggestion ?
If it's possible, you could expand on that by enabling the ability to modify the livery in the attributes for the heli.
Like maybe swap the fire and coast guard out ?
I'm sure I can just put a decal on the outside for the medical variant

i have tried decals on vehicles in the past but they seem to disappear after less than 10 meters, i couldn't really find a way to fix it either
You just have to place them further away from the vehicle

I think all bugs have been reported from what i have read in the channel but i wanted to be sure that one of them was : while being the pilot in mh60, i am to much far back in the pilot seat --> 1 It makes the view clipping with the seat when looking left and right. 2 I cant access the option of turning on the cockpit lights/instruments
Its the only bug that makes the mh60 experience more difficult than before for me
I believe all of these issues have been addressed and they are working on it but thank you for bringing more attention to them 👍🏼🤝

This is something we want to do eventually. We'll need to model/acquire the assets for it though somehow, so no promises. There are no current plans for it.
There are a few bugs that have resurfaced such as:
the ammo storage/reloading
Head rotations due while using the minugun
Violent vibration after landing
Tail wheel clipping

Not yet. We just started working on bones for the guages and setting up the MFD's. Will be a while on those. Ralian is sick, so we kinda scaled down the initial launch and focused just on the base MH60. It flies, carries people, and shoots.
The MD500/MH6 still needs a bit of work. We will iron it out this week and next. No timetable on the next update, but feel free to leave feedback.

Great experience so far on the mod, noticed though that the helicopter keeps wanting to point downwards when flying, which has been a bit annoying haha!
It's an adjustment thing. Working the center of mass. Making the helicopter react realistically. A bit of forward lean is normal. Are you using keyboard or gamepad? Should be more controllable with gamepad, though like Ralian said, you lose freelook for the moment.

We would love to. Looking into scripting some things in the future. At the moment we are at the mercy of what BI has made available. Keyboard controls and gamepads.

I noticed that there is no way to shut off the engine once started.
Ralian actually finds it better when using his XBOX controller
Currently just getting out shuts it off. It will eventually have a simple start stop on controls, and a much more involved start procedure option.
Also when sitting on a slight Incline (while in the gunner seat) my character started to slowly drift towards the back of the helicopter. Getting out stopped it and once on flatter ground had no problems.

Expect things like this for a bit. We started with a completely scripted mishmash to get the helicopters flying. We are now using the BI module which is very WIP. Some things still had to be scripted in and cobbled together. As the heli module improves, and some of the custom modules get reworked, things should polish up. This was, much like Reforger itself, us wanting to share some content with the community so they can play around with it. Better things to come.

Only feedback so far is that forward lean does seem to be too much and it seems to just slide away even on a very slight incline/decline. In combination it makes it pretty hard to land safely
Yeah, the break function is a priority. It was to get worked on today before launch, but with Ralian being ill it was decided to push it to the next update and not try to force something that may have hidden bugs. The sliding is actually a side effect of a scripted fix for another issue. At this stage, things like that are going to pop up.
Nice and very good work on the mod guys can't wait to see what else you guys come out with.

I'm sure there is planned tech. Current plans will be more hacky utilizing Zelik's mod for assigning rendertargets.
That is probably going to take a back seat to some other things though, at least with Redline. I think a UH60L cockpit is in order with more analog gauges.
123gabriel onn texture makers some time ago showed that there is a way of using widgets on textures (with car plates I think). Maybe that could be a way to go

But this is a known issue, Dayz got the same issue for us console players with crashing while driving
Keep in mind that I got the Series S but as far as I Heard from other players and Community members they got the same issue mostly by driving. The other most common issue is losing connection

@minor ravine the minigun would not be a constant light, muzzle flash is a byproduct of surplus powder left in the chamber, typically you would not see it every shot, maybe every couple of shots and it would be random brightnesses even after that.
It might be frequent with a gun of that fire rate but still would not be constant
watch any video of a minigun at night please i beg you. Its constant light with dips in brightness

any other gun you would have a point. But the fact of the matter is military miniguns are anywhere from 2000-6000 rpm. At 6000rpm you are going to have those flashes that happen every few rounds happening multiple times a second , there would be no "flashes" it would just be a flashlight
would be interesting if some nerds could figure out the fire rate of the minigun they put on the side of helos compared to different applications

Feedback MH60 mod:
Not too sure if anyone else has had this problem. But two things, when loading AI into the helo using GM, only 2 AI will load on the mini gun. Everyone else will not load into the passenger seat. I had to manually load each AI (AI takeover using GM). When the last 4 AI were loaded they glitched in the helo. The first person camera showed the last 4 passengers clipped into each other. As well as in 3rd person view it showed them “sitting” beneath the helicopter. I tried taking a screenshot but one of them got corrupted. I will have to go back later on and take more.
I already know this isn’t a big priority, but I figured I at least let you guys know about it for future reference.

So from the co pilot seat? As ATM in the pilot seat free look is disabled on consoles/gamepads.
The ai also jump to their deaths mid flight to engage ground targets.

Yeah unless you have them in the gunner seats (manually have to do this) but they don't engage the enemy well.
Also having fairly big fps drop in conflict scenario on xbox. Seems to happen when a decent ammount of ai are trying to engage the helicopter while flying.
Is anyone else having an issue with the flying itself with having to hold rs back all the time and when spooling up the helicopter moving?
This is how it is currently working, the helicopter is nose heavy so you will have to account for that atm, same with no free look in the pilot seat. Give these guys time it'll be buffed out.

It is but I'm on xbox and the only way to see the lights selection option is when you get into it from the pilot seat and you get a split second to activate the lights, but as there is no free look once in the pilot seat I cannot find the lights. Co-pilot seat doesn't show the lights at all looked all over the dash top mid bottom left and right.

If you hit the helicopter with lightning in GM it makes your game lag like crazy. Also old broken proppeller blades on the ground cause a newly placed helicopters blades to break. It is also impossible to land for any decent period of time because the thing rolls and slides down the slightest of slopes. When taking off the back rotor is verry sensitive, but at high speeds it seems to not function at all, forcing banking turns. Xbox

Hello, great mod, few notes from me
- missing wreck model, can be observed easily in GM - neutralize heli. Wreck model can be configured in Vehicle entity
- co-pilot seat - atm we dont have a way to give controls to other pilot in heli, that involves transferring ownership in network. We are planning to have it in few months though.
- miniguns firerate - please mind we dont have solution for bigger firerates than tickrate, therefore you are limited to something like 1800 rpm for 60fps game. We eventually will add it 🙂 Even with that, framerate of server will matter and cause desync wetween client and server as for amount of ammo or ability to fire. Just saying, there is a reason we didn't do miniguns in vanilla yet

If I may make one observation to send up the chain, I think the #1 thing we would like to see is better input device support for binding joystics, etc. Also fixing a few quirks with controller, such as being stuck in freelook when in the pilot's seat. I've been having to use CharacterControllerComponent::SetDisableViewControls() as a hacky workaround.
I think that last issue is more a problem with the freelook logic itself rather than the controls actually
It is Ralian controls still work when I look all the way up I can basically hover out the heli

Made artificial horizon instrument work

Can you provide more info than "it doesn't work?" For context I was able to do all of this with a controller on PC.
So LT zooms in and doesn't allow for free look, as far as I can tell the default brake doesn't make a difference I'd send a vid but I don't pay for premium services on discord.
So either something doesn't work the same on XBOX script-wise or it didn't update correctly. Can you delete the mod and reinstall it just to be sure? Thanks

Also it handles alot smoother on take off (landing is still a bit tricky) can't wait yo see what more you guys do with this.
for non offical work its not bad at all. its like between the AFM and Basic terrible FM. something like RS2 vietnam helicopters but more dynamic and realistic
but the Increase and decrease engine power is the only work around? because every helicopter post 50's has auto engine control
Thanks! Not sure what you mean exactly by this though. Increasing and decreasing the engine power is effectively changing the pitch of the blades and the amount of lift in the sim. The rotors actually stay at a set RPM currently because rotor drag is not modelled yet.

It's being worked on. But every new thing is a learning experience. Trial and error
New mod version works a treat. I had the same issue with having to completely re install the mod too. Minigun smoke looks good although maybe a bit too white imo? Still slides a little on landing but stable enough I would say. And feels good to fly nice little touch with the artificial horizon. Freelook works albeit a little janky but pretty usable once you get the hang of it
Yeah especially while in-flight free look still controls the helicopter (albeit slightly) some and caused me to crash 😆 🤣 can't wait for the destroyed model, then maybe with a hard enough impact the helicopter explodes? Either way this is definitely one of the best vehicle mods to drop.

The controls for the yaw/foot pedals feel almost sticky. This may just be me, or the feel on controller, and doesn't really affect much. Just opinion.

For some reason AI in the gunner seats has trouble targeting even stationary targets from a standstill. They are usually responsive on other turrets, making me think it is mod-side.

Using the left trigger to zoom allows free look, but still controls the rotors. Sometimes using the left trigger will stick the camera facing down in the cockpit, and it is stuck until you exit the seat.

Sometimes, when the aircraft is destroyed, the rotor model appears twice, and there is an invisible block that cannot be moved through. It can be seen and shot through by even AI.
For #3 in your list just tap LT and it will center you camera again.
I tried that, but twice it has gotten stuck looking between my feet. I had to leave the craft and get in again to reset my camera.
Weird I've got over 8hrs in flying (atm) and never had that issue always am able to just tap (sometimes a short hold) and (while not moving the stick) it seems to center it. If I run into this I will update my post.
I only have a couple hours flying it, and only in single player gamemaster. It may be something with my game or something, I will check and see if any of the other mods are causing it, but none should be.
Also maybe re-download the helicopter mod (I had to to get the LT freelook to work) might help might not 🤷

@stuck anvil In regards to the firerate, is that per weapon, or is it cumulative? Say we have a vehicle with two M134s that the pilot can fire at the same time. Are we limited to splitting the fire rate between 1800rpm, or is it 1800rpm per source?
