it was a reskinned heli

to make anything vtol, at least using redlines fixed wing physics is pretty much impossible without major scripting work. bacon has made his using n entirely new script. that one harrier uses a helicopter as a base.
but. if y'all are interested in my actual next projects, stay tuned, as the reds are getting a new fighter soon to counter the phantom. as well as a new version of the frog.

trim works it should be control arrow keys. if your plane is pulling uncontrollably press your key for trim reset.
I see what you mean, something with the inputs is funky. probably why it also conflicts with some mods that override the same config. I'll look into it.

so, the update is out. there may be some bugs and issues. please report if you find any. also. to change tot he mavericks press your change fire mode key. mavericks will display single on the bottom right, while the aim9s will display ripple. they require a lock to track.

Flight model seems much improved, great work on the Frogfoot. Only feedback I can give is that sometimes the flight seems stiff, like when turning and banking the model seems to seize up a bit and not be as responsive.
Still a very impressive mod and I’m glad to see you folks still at it. Godspeed.
Battery off, apu on, battery on, engine on.
look around cockpit for battery switch and hit it once
then look for APU and hit it once
then turn on engine
turn off brakes
press it twice quickly
Does the GAU work?
Increase throttle (shift on keyboard), then turn off parking brake by double tapping space bar.
console? rebind your controls.
first, make sure you have the following mods.
- A10 thunderbolt II.
- Mobius core
- wcs armaments
one you load into GM, spawn an A10. look to your right. the turn battery prompt will appear on the right console. toggle it on. a little to it's left, still on the right console. the toggle APU prompt will appear, press it as well. now you may turn the engine with the prompt located on the left console next to the characters hand.
hey. yeah the frogfoot is a little more unresponsive than the A10. right now lift curves are a little broken. I suggest resetting your trim every so often and using flaps to turn. the flight model will be improved slightly over time.

yes the GAU works. make sure you have Mobius core enabled with the A10.

Your turret ( fire ) button or wcs ( fire ) button might be the same as it. Try swaping or unbind turret fire button and wcs fire button
Then rebind those button one at a time. ( don't rebind your headlook/freelook button to the same as the fire buttons )
Holding A to decrease speed now also shoots the turrets. You can click the turrets to safe, however once you use them in a run your decreasing your speed while shooting.
Also, the jets every now and then go into a barrel roll unless you hold the joystick down, it happens a randomly but once it happens it doesn’t stop. One of the flaps gets stuck raising or lowering
reset trim. you bumped the trim by accident.
re bind your controls. several others use controler to fly and they dont report those issues. ask them for they keybinds.

make sure your brakes are designated. press space bar twice. or whatever the equivalente is on console. check your keybinds.
Generally the process I follow:
turn on Battery
Turn on APU
lower flaps for takeoff (not always needed but helps)
Start engine
Increase thrust to max
Disengage handbrake (very important, you will not build enough speed otherwise.)
Use rudder incrementally to correct aircraft to straighten on runway.

I can't say for certain. id love to remake the F/A18 we've had at some point. but plans aren't concrete and very much subject to changes. so I can't give you a definitive answer. as for using anything as a dependency. theoretically all you need to make fixed wing is r3dline core. that is what contains the fixed wing simulation components. Mobius core contains weapons and our custom scripts for flight controls and etc. if you want you may use core, sure.

the cockpit action is for dumb munitions. AAMs, AGMS, and such are toggled with WCS switch firemode. this was a compromise due to redlinecore conflictiing with wcs armaments

what are you trying to use? the bullpups are mcloss. guided with WASD. the mavericks are fire and forget. theyll lock onto any ground vehicle 15 degrees from the nose of the aircraft. aim 9s or r60s require a lock to be fired. hold wcs vehicle lock buton for 5ms
The AGMs, I had them selected but couldn’t figure out how to get them to fire, as well as trying to cycle through using V doesn’t do anything either. Like I said I am just more than likely doing something wrong

AGM just means air to ground missile. the (AGM12) bullpups are the big missiles on the F4. the (AGM^%) mavericks are on the A10

They released a pretty concrete road map showing a lot of stuff that they have planned

i never used the SARH class. as for the ET causing crashes. dont know what it could be. if youre opening with other mods it could be a conflict, since ive never had those issues. could also be a dependency update that is causing it.

it seems they have a pretty solid lock system. that works well for what it is and doesnt require the WCS lock

ik the Naomyth one is supposed to lock automatically, and ik the Project realism one relys on the WCS lock function but alot of people including myself arent able to get it to lock properly
That isn't a thing we can fix it's WCS that's causing the issue
