No the only one, was the 15:16 logs. as thats when i added the Server admin tools. and got waterworld, when I removed the server admin tools, I could run with all other mods without issues.
can you try removing everything except gulfcoast islands and admin tools?
there are so many errors in the logs it's a bit hard to go through it
also please remove the console.log and dm it to me next because it will leak your admin password

I’m having an issue where GM Persistent Loadouts isn’t working in solo game master servers, I could swear that it has worked before but every time I join back into my server I lose my saved loadout. Does anyone know how to fix this?
loadout is considered invalid if there is a difference in items in the game, like if I saved a shotgun then removed shotgun mod the loadout would be invalid
Yeah, that’s what I had issues with at first without knowing it would do that. But without removing any mods (or adding any) it’s still occurring. I’ve tried loading past files and everything.

well, one thing with explosive rounds in this game is that they randomly dont deal damage due to a bug in the game, I'm sure you've noticed sometimes you can dump many RPGs into a BTR and it seems like it doesn't take any damage, same bug

yes a lot of effects means lower performance, if you'd like higher performance consider not using a lot of effects - there's very little I can do to make the game's particle effects more efficient

you can obtain the GUID of the image by right clicking it in Workbench and then clicking Copy Resource Name, and the GUID is the part with brackets {} at the beginning

be careful when firing projectiles with many submunitions at the explosive props as there is currently a bug in the game that will duplicate the explosion effect for every submunition, so when you use mods like Shrapnel and you fire a rocket at the explosive crate, it will blow up 50 times and crash your game (only in multiplayer, though, and worse with higher ping)

I could make the gas damage resilience levels so while you don't take physical damage it will knock you out when it falls below a threshold and it only regenerates automatically, so someone would have to carry you out of the gas and then eventually you'd wake up

morphine requires a physical zone to be damaged so resilience wont work, but if damaging resilience you wake up pretty fast after being carried out of the gas, and I made it so the damage is 10% once you go unconscious so you sleep for a while before dying when in the fart cloud

actually I had this running while I was making dinner and the guy just kept sleeping and didnt die
it takes 6 seconds to go down, if you are efficient you can run into the gas, pick up your teammate (with the carry mod) and leave the gas cloud until it knocks you out

it actually checks the name of the name of the file of the gas mask, because the item name titles can be translated to different languages so I ignore them :/

It may in files just be labelled as what it is like the gp5 for example or gp7

If you want them to work you could ask the mod maker to change the name or make a mod with the gasmask mod as dependencie and just override the .et of the gasmask into an order named gas mask

A question came up today about Saved Loadouts and I was just wondering if the game mechanics would even allow this option... The saved loadouts is one per faction. I can see the files on my server(s) and I replicate (last modified) so their gear is the same everywhere. However, we have some members who have different billets.. i.e. medic, AT, etc.. could there be a save 1 and save 2 option? So they have have a primary and alt loadout? The respawn screen would give them three options.. base game, save 1, and save 2? Server will just have two files with their UID+1 \ UID+2 etc.. ? Just a theory question

Bacon, has GM Persistent loadouts had any reports of players reporting their loadouts being lost at random times?
Essentially, I'll save my loadout. Yes I know it's titled GM Persistant Loadouts Not Conflict Persistent Loadouts However, once we move into conflict, save our loadout, we'll run into instances after we die maybe 3 or 4 times where our loadout is no longer visible and we're only left with the options of the vanilla character loadout, then having to rekit. And even then, once we do rekit, we'll run into that same issue.

if any modded equipment content is updated you risk your loadout being no longer valid, but this is not random

yes, I am using my block 2 as the test gun for the attachments, I separated it into a bunch of pieces
#1196144905358168155 message I think they both kind of fulfill different needs. ARU doesn't have a preview but does allow adding items already and isn't really accessible with controller because of some UI glitches and I'm not sure if it's even still being worked on actively
currently block 2 has these pieces, but there will be a few more when the mod is out

smol update on BACON SUPER ARSENAL 5000, added viewing any storages so things like the alice vest displays its slots - you can't edit them though because they are "fixed" by the designer
but in practice it means that things that are configured to have slots can be interacted with
in more practical terms, if gun attachments have their own rails you should be able to slap attachments on attachments... forever, unless I cap it
there is an issue with interactable attachments that are nested though in that you cannot interact with them in inspection and an optic attached to an attachment is not usable 😦 but if this functionality is ever in the game I'll be ready

The two different temperatures are really useful
basically, you just put a light in the oppsosite direction from camera, so the light is facing the camera
and just from an art perspecitve, you can make it slightly blueish to add more contrast and break up the scene. but plz dont go super hard and dont mix red and blue
also as a strange but theoretically working solution, you can move your orange light a bit higher so it casts as dropdown shadow
this game does not have light bouncing so it will not look good but we can try

Like the textbook definition of it, massive delays when dragging. Sometimes resulting in the wrong item being selected. To be fair, my potato is hardly helping, but something is off given that ARU manages to completely remove the jank and feels super responsive. The previews you posted seem equally smooth.

The BIS arsenal also takes a while for items icons to load in, which isn't a problem with ARU (and hopefully your mod). But it's hard to say how much can be attributed to a buggy system or to my slow pc
icons being slow are a game thing, and you will hit this problem eventually every time, this system may display more or less items in your view than the arsenal though so who knows
this is actually more of a bug in the preview functionality so eventually it will be fixed
Tbh the slow icons I can live with, but dragging stuff and then having the game select the wrong item is infuriating. This problem is exacerbated with RHS' awesome customization system. Which is why I asked if this mod will be compatible with RHS. And it makes me very happy that is indeed the case 😀
with my system you at least see the text before the icon loads so it's marginally better
it will be compatible with everything that doesn't try to implement new inventory mechanics, so Zelik's Character and the RHS helmets will work with 0 dependencies
customization of things like weapon slots (optional - there is control for not allowing slots to be empty for example) is also done without dependencies
btw, Im not sure if this is in the scope of this mod (or indeed even technically feasible). But have you given any thought to adding poses fot the characters? I only ask because the lighting seems like youre adding other stuff to help with presentation
any by poses I mean functional stuff, like high ready, aiming and relaxed
I wanted to give lighting a shot to take my mind off the harder work, I also want to look into other things like changing the player's identity (face, skin color) but everything that is purely eye candy is the lowest priority imaginable and I wouldn't hope for it

Yeah, player identiy was also something I was curious about. Nice to hear it's being considered. The poses are merely for inspecting the gear, as the default 'relaxed' pose obscures the side of the body. Not so much a problem now, but as mods continue to add more customization it might become useful

Is anyone else experiencing issues with RIS (and a few others) where they basically always have to "reinstall" it before joining a server but it immediately cancels/fails the download?
this has been an issue on xbox for like 6 months (on pc sometimes too but it's easier to fix on pc just go to addons folder and delete the mods)

detecting which direction clothing is facing is very buggy, and the camera might position itself incorrectly when you change things like arm bands or helmet patches

There are some options for controlling behavior but there's no dependency requirements. It operates on the assumption that things are vanilla compatible.

extra cdf by p34ntuz360 has a gas mask literally named "gasmask" but you still take damage from the gm FX gas. i thought that with the words gas and mask it would stop you from taking damage?

Having an issue with the M4A1 Block 2. Whenever I add ANY of the bacon supressors the SpecterDR1-4 will not switch between the red dot and specter. This was not an issue until the most recent changes made. @spice elk
Previously I would use the pre-set M4A1 Block 2 with the m203 already attached. And a supressor/Specter worked fine on it.

For real, not having to deal with laggy arsenals is a nice change
this is mostly attributed to caching in the mod - I've made it so that once you open an item category (let's say attachments for rails) it will keep the available options saved in memory for the time you are in the menu, so subsequent visits to the same types of items load faster
it "remembers" all the helmets until you exit the menu, so it will load a little faster when you visit helmet areas again
I would have made it stay in memory forever but with different arsenal boxes and factions it'd be memory leak city (if it isn't already)
This is a game changer tbh, 100% what the arsenal interface shouldve been.

@spice elk kinda complex idea you could potentially add to your inventory mod.
Customizing clothing similar to your m4
Using the in game assets and a small amount of costume assets, you could make a modular system for all sorts of equipment.
Example 1: the in game Alice vest contains a flask, I believe this was an early version of what I ask today. If possible an interchangeable vest where you can add, remove, and change positions of pouches and more.
Example 2: Helmets, more simplistic than the last, the ability to add, remove, and edit helmets. Such as adding ammunition, cigs, art, cards, and more.
This could apply to various things and even if implemented with ONE changeable item per clothing article would change the game forever. That’s it thank you for even reading this text monster.
(And I know it would require a monster amount of scripting)

it already works like this if the asset is setup in this way. You cannot edit otherwise statically integral models
Actually, in Arma 3 everything gets preloaded the first time and then cached permenently. So this is definitely something to consider if performance is not that great atm.
And then there is also the notorious opening time of the Zeus interface that was horrible when you had many mods loaded due a lack of caching until Dedmen patched it 😅

This is not based on a3 virtual arsenal. I'm not caching indefinitely because the next box you open will have different items.
There are maybe up to 5 different arsenals with RHS, so my point still stands and for one player usually 1 or 2 would have to be preloaded.
You can cache things as long as you want in your own loadout system 🙂

When checking Arma 3, better check the ACE Mod arsenal instead.
They have proper search and better sorting. (For example sorting by amount, will show you all items you actually have in inventory, at the top)
Also separate tabs for "Magazines that are compatible with weapons I already have" and "All magazines". You rarely need the latter, but when you need it you do need it

When selecting guns there should be the same or similar screen as when customizing a gun imop and when you select the gun you could stay on the same screen and press X to start customizing it. I think it would make it into a better user experiance with less jumping between screens.

If you just copied the rhs configs into us arsenal, rhs includes all the vanilla equipment. You need to go through and disable anything you don't want.

I don't understand the question, a slot can only have one item. If you want to store items into clothes then do so in the Inventory tab.

usually all 3d gun models come with parts, like the stock is separate from the receiver etc, so I was like why not make a gun editor and separate it into pieces, and here we are now
once the foregrip can reduce recoil I'll patch it, for now it's cosmetic only

No he didn’t. He just has fixed grips that have no ability to detach. He just lowered the base recoil of the guns.

Hand position for the AFG is just fine. A VFG would be awesome.
Will it be a like a KAC VFG or like a stubby one?
For conventional forces the KAC is used but stubby is beginning to be more used in conventional.
For any units that would use a BLOCK2 or 3 like you have they would most likely use a stubby one. It’s better control.

They have it all the way front in those pictures as they don’t have any attachments but even when some do they just wrap there thump over there PEQ or lay it next too.
It’s also fine if it’s not all the way forward. These pictures show then not being all the way forward. It’s kinda a shooter preference.
it will probably need to be around where the AFG is because I can't really easily move the thumb around based on which attachment slots are used
as in I can do it, just not easily and I'd rather not bother
what I did with my rifle when I was in the army was just have my thumb on or on top of the side rail

DD MK18/M4A1 both full and FSP rails are considered FDE, but due to the the anotization process on the aluminium, each batch is somewhat different and purple-ish

yeah, from what i read when i was doing my own SIG, FDE is a hard color to do in anodization, hence the different colors per batches (also something that stands true for other weapon parts that are anotized in FDE)

same, it is a shame indeed, especially with ballistic armor present. Not a lot better without vests either
thing is I think it's not about the pistols but damage in general, I think shooting someone with vanilla vest in the back with a .50 cal from 10 feet doesn't kill them

but this needs to be overhauled in vanilla and not via mods, I don't think it's a good idea for modders to add damage boosts to their guns
i keep saying that BI should add more bullets to vanilla, even if not use, to unify some of the base damage. Also, the current system as far as i understand is based on boolean penetration. Not secondary damage based on kinetic damage even if ballistic holds
very happy with the sounds tho, I wish it dealt as much damage as it sounds like it would
I agree with you on this, it would prevent modders from having to do it on their own, minimize potential discrepancies (of course assuming the modder cares, I sure as heck do)
