Logs tend to be quite unless with JIP errors from my experience
I'm not aware of any good ways to find the source, usually I do trial and error testing using the Dedicated Server Tool.
For you they might not mean much, for devs it's a different story.

Yes, but it would not be possible without Haleks, the original creator of Ravage in Reforger. I am keeping it alive with my own twist.

From my experience, it seems that mods that have dependencies, when the main mod is uploaded, the dependents are removed from the search list.
Any explanation on why the workshop grinds to a halt when you have mods loaded that you can edit
I have like 3 mods in this mod I am working on and it makes the workshop painfully slow just cause I can edit the mods in it, this is really shitty

supportedPlatforms works as it always did, crossPlatform is the new and confusing one?
supportedPlatforms is useless when crossPlatform exists, because the server can only be PC or PC with all consoles, and you cannot turn a single non-PC platform on/off with supportedPlatforms
Whether PS5 is allowed or not is controlled by your mod list, if it's larger than 0 then PS5 is not allowed
If you try to start a vanilla server without crossPlatform option and with only PC and Xbox in supportedPlatforms, it errors out and never starts

Does Xbox still load textures starting from +1 MIP level? The reason I'm posting this in Workshop channel is I could see some mechanism by which Xbox versions of mod paks start out with the highest res texture already removed to reduce the package size. This could help speed up Xbox mod downloads through the decrease in size.

Is there any way to appeal a workshop takedown. My asset got taken down despite having every script made by me, with only 4 scripts total shown here. There was little to no explanation of what was in breach of rules beside a long section which included different ruls

You probably are using the wrong weather script. Could you send a screenshot of which version of the weather manager you're using

Hey guys, I'm having a issue with my server that i am hoping someone can help me out with. I'm running RCS realism mods but when people spawn in after being killed, they spawn naked. Regardless of what kit is saved, even the default kit spawns them in naked. Any ideas is appreciated

It sounds like your vehicle collider is too large
So instead of the vehicle sitting on the ground using the wheels it is actually hitting the collider
So check the colliders on your wheels/tracks so they are not using a vehicle collider and make sure that your vehicle's main body collider leaves enough space for the suspension to work

They use the rotation of the third wheel to animate

if wheel radius is too small it wont touch the ground, not sure if thats applicable to the tread setup though

Hey guys has anybody here had issues with getting abdomen hitzones to work on armour? It seems like every hitzone works just fine for me, but the abdomen specifically doesn't seem to offer any protection. I thought I was going crazy and misspelling it but I double checked with the character_base prefab and it appears it should be working
what do the colliders look like
It's currently one large plate and when the armour is sitting on the ground I can see bullet holes properly ding up the entire piece when i shoot it so I know the collider is there, but I'm thinking I might need to just make some sort of abdomen add-on that gets worn underneath
u can see colliders with windows key + alt
navigate to physics with arrow keys
and for show bodies, change it so u can see the colliders and put it on a character, im betting the bottom of the plate is inside the collider for the abdomen, so the round is hitting the character before the plate

Looks like "Remove from Workshop" still doesnt remove the mod from Workshop, as when publishing it again I need to increment version number beyond the one that was previously on the workshop before I pressed the Remove button. Please either rename the button to something else or make it do what it says it does, because it is definitely not Removing the mod.

Why reupload with older version is a bad thing? When I remove my stuff, I should be able to upload version 1.0.0 because I removed it
then what if I have locally downloaded addon with its GUID but newer version because you reuploaded it with older version 
servers and clients would then consider your reupload as old version and ignore it

im getting this error, when trying to publish DEFAULT (E): Unsupported file type (scenario_image_0.dds), so I went and deleted the unsupported file, only to find out that whenever I hit publish it gets recreated?

Your image should be EDDS and not just DDS. Did you manually convert it? Take your source image and just drag it into workbench to converrt

how do i make it so i dont have to delete my xob and fbx to import the new one?
Replace the FBX in your project folder through File Explorer with the new one, and Workbench will auto reimport
Or if exporting the FBX directly from Blender to your project folder, just go to import settings of the XOB and press Reimport Resource at the top
Perhaps the mod offering it is not loaded. Or the path is incorrect, or the contents of it are malformed

Question: After publishing when I open my project, I no longer see my prorject folder at all.
The project folder is still in my ArmaReforgerWorkbench/addons folder, but opening the .gproj file shows only the dependency folders.

Would anyone know why or how to fix mods not showing up in game. Example I've got the HMMWVS variant pack and its dependency for conflict, it shows in game master and I can place it but I cannot get in either Light of Heavy vehicle bays.
I also have other Vehicles i've added, my server has downloaded it and then I've downloaded it when I join the server, But I can't even find them in Game Master.

Reuploading addon without changes under different name and no links to original is allowed by APL? (For me it's looks like violating Attribution)
It does not need to link to the original, it needs to credit the authors, which can just be done in the description or license file. But if that is neither the case it can be taken down. Send the original mod GUID and the one you think violates it please

I used to play a lot of RHS Combat Ops - Everon, but now all the combat ops RHS everon scenarios are broken, there's no map or anything and when you load in you're a camera underwater
soooo I had someone link me one of my mods asking how to use it, and it turns out to be a pre-1.0 mod that no longer came back after 1.0 "mod wipe." IDK how it's just suddenly showing up again on the webpage and in game workshops?

this is a workshop bug, you've gotta upload the mod twice in order to remove dependencies, I had the same issue last week

Just my guess but i think that is because when you remove dependency from gproj that is loaded in Workbench you have to restart it because it still have that dependency cached in engine and when it is uploaded it takes that information from there and not gproj.
Could you make feedback ticket for it and i could possibly look into it in following days

Do you have Zeliks Character and Finns Accessible Accessories mods added into your workbench launcher? If not you'll need to goto Add Project -> Add Existing Project and add both of those first

I’m still experiencing issues where servers randomly fail to start properly. Also issues loading workshop pages in-game, and the server mod list often fails to load.

Not sure if it helps but all you need to put an image in server admin tools welcome message is an image in your mod. You dont need any dependencies. Right click your image and then click Copy Resource Name and paste the brackets part in the admin tools configuration.

Kind of depends what the changes are in the dependency, but it will use the version that is available on the server depending on server configuration

I'm getting into Arma Reforger modding, specifically map creation, and I have some questions that would be much easier to discuss in a voice chat rather than typing everything out.
This won't be a bottomless pit of beginner questions—I’ve been working with map creation since 2007 and have experience with Source Engine 1 & 2, Unreal Engine, as well as Blender and Substance Painter. I just need some guidance on how things work specifically in Arma Reforger.

the mod you are trying to publish uses an asset (dependency) that was deleted from the workshop
"Rus uniform" is the mod name
you'll have to remove that mod as a dependency before it will let you upload it

Server owners are able to choose which workshop version of a mod when they setup the server, correct?
So if I, for instance, changed a core functionality of a mod, it wouldn't effect those using the mod unless they updated to the newest mod version, right...? Or does it update automatically?

anybody else have the issue of their mod getting stuck a 1% uploaded when they try to publish it and it fails? Then when you try to publish it again it says the version already exist? my OG version was like 1.0.10 and I'm currently on 1.0.27 now with all the retries... I'm only uploading like 80Mb...

You need to make sure your new mod has the same GUID as the mod you want deleted by editing addon.gproj in notepad and changing the GUID

If you have been trying to mod, zip it and back it up and just leave this for a rainy day. I'v spent so many days, months, hours on stuff and its just not worth it now as it stands. Keep a backup and move on till the storm clears.

For some reason, everytime the Workshop publish tool is used but fails to actually publish (due to the back-end outage), it uploads the Version number of whatever is in your /publish/ folder to the API even though the mod itself is not updated.
All you really need to do is increase the version number of your asset, such as to "1.0.1", and then it will attempt to publish again.

When your upload fails, close workbench and go to "ArmaReforgerWorkbench\publish" and delete the folder for your mod from that folder. The manifest.json sores the version number and upon trying to publish again increases it.

Has anyone run into an issue where the version of your mod that is displayed on the Info tab in the workshop is older than the most recent changelog version?
I keep getting publishing errors and have tried what Zelik mentioned above to ensure that, at least locally, there are no issues with publishing an existing version, however this is causing a problem when I start my server with the mod enabled, as it grabs the older version instead of the most recent. My best guess is that me attempting to publish during the outage caused some kind of mismatch in those versions.
Just gave it another go after 24hrs... Its still broken. Cant even upload 10mb mission file.

There's definitely mismatch in versions that likely will not be solved until Bohemia fixes the Workshop back-end. Personally, I have had people unable to enable & 'verify' my mod thanks to this mismatch.

Using your method I was able to do it but was wondering if there was a way to copy and paste several layers at the same time instead of Opening map - copy layer contents - load my map - paste layer contents and so and so forth. Reason I ask is because pveremixed2.0 has a ton of layers lol

Having an issue that I could really use some help with.
I'm trying to open a modded mission within enfusion that uses the Fallujah map with ArmaTerrainCore as a dependency so that I can make some changes to the factions. I've tried several variations of loading including just the mission as a dependency of my new mod, loading all dependencies of the map and mission and so on...
However, when I open/add anything that involves TerrainCore like the map or mission, None of the mods or missions appear in the resource browser for me to open the world file or anything. Looking for fallujah map, RHS, conflictPVE folders so I can make changes. I did notice that when I open my new project it defaults to terrain core. Does anyone know what's happening and how I can fix this/find the files?
When you open the tools, when you want to open your project, you must have an option to open it with dependencies, do it.
You can also import dependency mods directly in this same menu, which should solve your problem.
Thank you for the reply! So I've been trying both styles of adding dependencies. Inside the projects window I create the project with the mission, gamemode, and RHS mods selected like this image. And I've tried creating a blank project then right clicking and opening with dependencies, as well as opening the blank project, then adding dependencies through the options menu. When I do this without anything requiring terrain core, the resource browser displays all the mod folders. However, if the map requires ArmaTerrainCore or any other dependency is loaded that uses TerrainCore, I cannot see any other mods/depenecies in the Resource browser, and it defaults the opened project to the window above which looks to me like it's loading terrain core without any other mods for some reason.

- Import all your dependency mods at the bottom left (button: "+ Add projects")

- Load your mod by selecting all the dependency mods (like in your screen, but don't forget to select "armaterraincore")

- Once your mod is open, immediately you go to "workbench" => "options" and you add all your mod dependencies here with the "+" button.

- You press ok, then you save your project.

- Close the tools and reopen your project, it should now work.

if you use RHS already, easiest way is to use it as a dependency in your “patch” mod; duplicate a couple prefab patches and replace textures; just make sure the aspect ratio is right of said textures and they’ll work.
There’s a bunch more steps but that’s the gist of it

There was something posted in generic that they are reworking what mods can be posted in the stable game. To much clutter from test mods. Reorg of potentially allowing test mods only in the experimental branch. When 1.3 releases to stable is when we may know more about modding and the future of it.

you dont. uploading doesnt do anything regarding mission files. workshop indexes mission files but doesnt create them
just copy one from vanilla Missions folder and change it to your needs

Actually you are. In Reforger, scenario files point to world files and both of those are distributed via mods.
To be fair there's no concept of a mission in Reforger

You can absolutely make a mod that only contains a Scenario
Any Game Content you want to publish is modded. At least until they sort out saving sessions in Game Master. But Game Master sessions are pretty far from what I would consider a mission.

So I work alot during the week. Fri, Sat, Sun is my main days to do my stuff for Reforger. I'm late to the party, but just now hearing that the workshop won't accept uploads, which makes sense since my almost 300 mods didn't need a update. is there any exception to this like you can still upload a ScenarioFramework mission, or is 100% of the workshop not able to upload or update?

They have it behind cloudflare. Steam relays would help dedicated servers since BI exposes them all to the public without it, and makes them an easy target.

my opinion is that they accidentally broke uploading with larger infra changes and are now trying to fix workshop "the right way" vs just opening it back up as it was
rerouting the existing api to use new infra wouldn't take 2 weeks but other improvements could
possible, also likely that it was too easy to DDOS and they have to keep it closed while they make a more secure system
or maybe both
yea for sure. its the only part of the api that can take giant payloads so that makes sense. though usually for something like this you'd just not have your servers taking payloads directly but something like signed uploads to cloud
im sure they're doing some kind of validation or indexing of uploads that requires them to be able to read/process it
pretty sure cloudflare has something you can use
but its probably something you need to integrate, not just switch on
