So I did ipconfig in cmd and grabbed my IP address. I tried both IPv4 Address and Default Gateway.

I still have all the ports from earlier port forwarded but that includes 2001. Link to that just in case: #reforger_multiplayer message

Public IP Address (tried both IPv4 Address and Default Gateway
Public port: 2001
Bind IP address: 0.0.0.0
Bind port: 2001

He was still unable to connect with the same message as earlier. Does everything above look right?

Default gateway is your routers local ip address. And ip adress you got via ipconfig is also local.
You need public global ip, which can be found for example here:

Otherwise settings look okay

yeah, if u can try to make sure ISP isnt blocking your ports or anything. You can also try hosting simple udp test server on port 2001 to see if its correctly forwarded. Then connect to it via your phone or something to see if it works

Oh. no thats for client. File -> Settings -> Network -> Basic -> Enablde UDP Servers -> enter 2001 and thats your simple udp server set

Then on another pc outside your network or some android device you can run same or smilar software and send a packet. It should appear in the log on the bottom. IF it does your ports are correctly set and your PC can listen on 2001 UDP

Yeah after A3 worked I tried the firewall and that was it. One of the Reforger ones was disabled for some reason and once I turned it back on it worked. I didn't think I had to do that with A3 but maybe I did. It was probably at least 4 years ago now. Thank you for your help!

ran some tests this morning and it seems that the save/load system does not work for locally hosted games. It only works on dedicated servers. Maybe that will be added in when that system is actually official, but it's still in development i believe,

Actually I take that all back! It looks like you can host a session, then go into game master and load the previous save file, the session will restart, then your friends should be able to join in as well.

here's a chart for a 128 (maximum) player conflict server with most AI disabled, running on a ryzen 7700 #reforger_servers message

you can see that even though the processor is not fully utilized the server bottlenecks itself

mods are not relevant unless you use mods that do a lot of computation, so an additional set of uniforms or weapons doesn't matter

Good evening gents, im havin a bit of an issue the last few weeks trying to join any community servers. "Game resources don’t match server resources." is the heading that pops up , with the subheading reading this : kick cause code: group=4 'DATA' , reason=1 'RDB_MISMATCH'

Fix to the problem with mods download.
PC -> Console

If your mods are not downloading correctly.

First check if there is a server update/restart happning.

Close the game
Go to My Documents/My Games/Arma Reforger/addons
delete all the mods
Open game
Join server - that will download the mods

Press the Xbox Guide/Home button on your controller to bring up the Home Menu
Select My games & apps
Select See All
Highlight Arma Reforger and Select Manage Game
Select Saved Data
Select the second entry labeled Reserved Space

I found the issue for me atleast, I had two scenarios running at the same time on my modlist. It was overthrow. I had the bug fix for overthrow then the actual overthrow enabled, after I only enabled one it fixed my issue.

Im new to reforger but not the arma series. Ive been messing with reforger for about 2 weeks now albeit being a father limits the time i can play. I have zero experience with arma mp and was wondering what servers would you guys recommend for a noob. Also any reference materials that can be linked that explains etiquette etc. my only experience with mp gaming involves sim racing and dcs world so any help would be appreciated. Also on a side note if i may, i managed to get a dedicated server running for me and my discord friends. Just wondering if theres a way to save coop scenarios. Contact the server owners, to update their mods, or.... waiiiittt for it..... delete the two mods, and join server, then your game will get the versions as they are.. but if that dont work, you need to poke the server owners

something weird happened to me, was in an official combatops server and the game seemed like it crashed, everything was unresponsive... so i d/c'd from server and tried to join again but that server wasn't listed, so i joined another one (combatops arland us-la) but upon spawning a russian was at spawn site and immediately killed me, followed by a vote kick. oh, no really? but all these arma know-it-alls were telling BI that the vote kick system is fine the way it is and that people getting vote kicked trolled and banned as a result isn't an issue.

like this reply to my feedback that banning players from joining ALL servers for some time because of getting vote kicked in one server.

And to be fair; the system also works better now against trolls 😉 At least they won't be able to server hop anymore.

Why are they like this?

• Wounded people, Hurt people.
• At worst, they're projecting real-life insecurities onto players cause they lack a sense of control IRL. Healthy people don't behave like this, jumping to server after server just to vote-kick everyone is wild.
• At best, they got repeatedly wrecked playing on the USA team (which many young players join) and that's why these kids only troll the Soviet team.
• Regardless of their rationalization, this is inherently insecure & immature behavior that is typical of psychologically unbalanced people.
• Partially BIS responsible for both having a poorly implemented vote kick system that's ripe for abuse by immature teenagers and for making such an imbalanced game where, in Official servers at least, the USA faction has a win rate approximating 1:10 (Soviets almost always win due to poorly implemented aperture sights the USA have amongst other balance issues).

• He starts multiplayer
• He search for the server with the most player because massive battles are cool
• he play a 128 player server because there are mostly more than 48 player online. So the bigger server are the normal experience from AR

Whenever i am playing Arma Reforger, with mods mostly and vanilla sometimes, I will have my game stutter and freeze up without it crashing completely. It stops responding and my cpu runs around 20-30% and Gpu around 2% during this. It usually occurs once i respawn or when traveling fast. I have no issues in Arma besides this one specific issue. Since i see so many people playing hours on end im convinced its a problem with my pc. I have tried various in game settings to combat the issue to no avail. I would love help if anyone has suggestions

By default, ArmA Reforger places your mods in the relative documents folder. In my case, I had my primary Nvme SSD as my G Drive where I installed my games, but a Sata SSD for my files drive where I had the friendly folders like Documents, Photos, Downloads, relocated to (my F drive). So I had to override that in launch options and have a reforger mods folders on my G drive that I pointed to. That solved some of this issue.

There are PBS servers which is vanilla and host 128 players.
Tactical warfare servers are moded with modern gear, and they host 80 players.
There are two moded Russian servers that host 90 players.
There is also SIG which slamsgt talked about before, but I don't know if they are moded or vanilla.

The vast majority of servers are on NA. I would say eight on the top 10 servers are NA.

I've also had this weird issue where, some modded community servers, I get the error where the server response time was too long. But some official servers with equivalent or greater ping I was able to join just fine. After the server browser managed to show these servers that is.

I think the backend you are connecting to is the same for both of us and I have not personally seen the issue being talked about here, so it may be something to do with people in the US

In my experience, even moderated community servers have just as many trolls, and significantly worse performance/more kicks due to higher player counts and often tons of mods.

And I've been pleasantly surprised finding good communication with randoms, even on official servers. Just need to try working with others (start talking to them first) and often times you will get a group that sticks together. I suspect that part of this is nearly every Xbox player having a mic and being more willing to use it.
