@slow pagoda is BI aware that there is major supply lag when rounds go on for longer than an hour? You can stare at a supply crate for 10 mins before it kicks in, or stare at a truck for 10 mins before the 0 turns into 1500 even though you can visually confirm the truck is full

I thought this update was supposed to introduce the ability to shoot out of cars or at least stand on top of the bed of cars and trucks and shoot but the moment we start driving everyone just falls down, not even hitting bumps or anything. Is the desync to blame for this or was the feature not implemented?
Standing on moving vehicles like the flatbed was added yeah. Shoothing out of vehicles is not a feature.
Don't think it will work if you just stand on the roof of a normal car, need to try the transport truck and stand on the bed

Well, faced an annoying issue while tried to play coop with my mate
He could join my server, but in a couple of seconds he gets ping 999 and after that being kicked with error "Kick cause code: group=1 'REPLICATION', reason=6 'STALLED"
Any way to fix that?
Personal radio has 1,3km radio range, radio backpacks have 2km range. If you're out of radio range you cant hear your team. So radio backpacks have 700m longer range
And if you are 1.3km or more far away from a friendly radio tower that reaches to the main base then you cant talk to the team but if you are still less than 2km away the you hear them but they dont hear you if u have the personal radio

go into operations, then click on the vehicle icon and set from which point AI teams should get supplies, set base logistic prio as well, it will do the rest automatically

bullets do not seem to be affected by wind currently. the rpg's and other rockets are affected by wind but the bullets still go right in a vertical trajectory to the target and do not budge in the direction of the wind even with two stripes of strength

Wind effect is in the ammo. And some servers clone all the basic ammo to their own mod instead of using Reforger ammo. So if the modded ammo had "affected by wind = 0" because it was either custom modded ammo or copy-pasted from previous game version, then, well. Check the ammo.
the WCS server has FMJ, AP, and full TRACER mags. i think this is indeed different than the vanilla ammo. Thanks for clearing up that there are flags for the wind, didn't know that!
WCS has copied all the vanilla ammo to their WCS mod as well, so it was the same as the vanilla in previous version, with wind effect set to 0, but I haven't checked what values are currently in that mod today. But vanilla ammo 1.6 was definitely affected by the wind when I tested last week.
I want to test if the amount is realistic when I have time for that. If wind drift physics is correct, then it should just depend on having a correct air drag value.

Add the animationplayercomponent to these characters instead, make a new scene in the timeline, name your character something, add an animation track to the scene and name it the same as your character, then add an animation file toi the animationplayercomponent and tweak the settings. It's been a while but this is how it works I believe
i did it with animationplayercomponent as you told. but when i switched to game mode, animations disappear idk how to apply this to in game
What if you check the Loop Checkbox in the component? Also if this doesn't solve it maybe try posting in the Enfusion channels like #enfusion_generic or #enfusion_animation , that's where the modding scene takes place

anyone knows if there's a way of changing the render distance for units? PC still stuck at ~870 with binoculars and ~830 naked eye (infantry) and a solid 1000m for vehicles. Poor console players, can't even see past 421m naked eye lmao.
I'm saying that because during experimental 1.6 I was able to see people super far away ~2000m with binoculars of course.
I set NetworkViewDistacne on the server to 2k and ViewDistance standard at 5k but no successes.
How are you testing this?
I run the server, put some some guys on different distances and check how far we can see each other with/without zoom then scope then binoculars.

Weird. I ask because I can consistently see players up to 1500m. Beyond that, it seems the bugs with view distance kick in.
the max I got so far was setting both ViewDistance and NetworkViewDistance both to 1500 on the parameters. Manage to spot each other as far as 1386m
At least through magnified optics. For vehicles, it is out to 3km (at least in one test, didn't test that as extensively).

And after downloading the WCS loadout editor come to find out it does not work in game master unless im missing something bout it.

Ai can only do logistics. You can only use logistic truck and they wont get into anything else.

I saw that video already with some players of my favorite server that were also commanders, we still struggle a bit as the handling of logistic table for instance is not so self explaining, even for arma 3 veteran (me) and reforger experimental players (them).
We are still on it, but I we are struggeling there a bit with try and error, while the players get frustrated with us, that we get not enough supplies in for them. (I know this is a complex Problem, like logistics in the real world)

In vanilla, it should just be another option at the start of the list. It might not be working with some mods.

Hello Bohemia devs. I have a question. Why is Shadow Clamping not used to resolve the Gamma issue. Instead of a workaround it's actually a solution for the issue. Are there any unforseen effects when using that tech? or unovercomeable issues? I'm asking this because there is actually a Mod that fixes the Gamma issue like that.

So what's the purpose of the M60 when there's the M249? I realize the M60 can be anti armor with the AP ammo at SGT, but otherwise I don't see why you'd want the M60. The higher fire rate of the M249 just seems a lot better to hit people, and it can set vehicles and helicopters on fire with tracer rounds very easily.

M60 is best used defensively, or in a static position. In terms of typical Reforger engagements, the M249 is almost always the better option
Yeah I mean when deployed it's great, but god it just jumps around and has such a slow fire rate
I rarely use the M60, but I feel like I'm significantly more skilled with it than any other small arm.
For me, the high power, low rate of fire, and 100-round belts just click for me.
It is authentic for the US to be using it at the time, and the damage/penetration/range is important.
The M249 also doesn't have a tripod in-game.
For locking down roadways or chokepoints the M60 reigns supreme, having an M249/M60 pair in an L shape against vehicles is undefeatable
Also, the M60, PKM, and UK-59L can remove one of their biggest downsides by using the bipod.

It's a cool gun, and I do use it over the M249, but I feel like I'd be a lot more effective with that instead. Hitting anything, be it moving infantry or people in a car is a lot harder with the slow firerate.
I was originally gonna put this into the feedback channel asking if it should maybe spawn with AP rounds right off the bat to distinguish from the M249, but anti-armor doesn't seem to be it's purpose.
Its because the m60 is made for a fundamentally different purpose
The m249 is a mobile offensive weapon, the m60 is a stationary defensive weapon
Typically the m60 should be used when the enemies are coming towards you
Alot of people use mgs are assault rifles but it's not their role
It's definitely meant to be deployed, I can see that. The gun jumps around so much I can literally miss someone 50m out and be sprayed down with their AK. Unless I single fire it, that works undeployed.
I dont know how some people can use it like a rifle
It's not always easy to find the perfect spot/angle to deploy it at in a pinch

IMO M60 is really easily controllable, even when standing, compared to M249, specifically thanks to it's low fire rate and high weight. I wouldn't use it as an AR for CQB, but between the deadlier caliber and it's controllability I prefer it a lot more for any kind of medium to long range engagement. Tho the PKM does have it beat in the long range department.

What specifically sparked my question is because there was a sniper like..200m or 300m-ish out and he was a pixel on my screen. I didn't feel comfortable shooting him, I felt that the fire rate is so slow he can just matrix his way through the bullets and shoot me instead. Whereas with the M249 I could've sprayed the entire area very quickly.
So I got closer to him with a flank, which also once again put me into a CQB range where I would've liked an M249.
On soviet team I would've seen no issue in just sending a burst his way from my position with a PKM, though the iron sights are also more precise on it
I've killed people at 400-ish meters with iron sights on an AK-74 (which is inferior to the M16 at that range). The M60 is much more reliable that far away lol
I would say, the m60 uses bigger round, shoots further. I would prefer it because it would kill person with armor. 5.56 is not enough imho because armor vests can easily stop that round

Actually, @cerulean token, what is the resolution of your display? Maybe that's the difference here. 200-300 meters should be within the effective range of almost everything in the game.
1440p, but I started to use 90% resolution and FSR since my FPS have been getting worse and worse every update. 😔
Could be that that whole setup is making things into a blurry mess at that range.

FSR, 40 fps constantly, not even half the hz my monitor could output. My RTX 2070 Super just isn't cutting it anymore.

I was using a Vega 56 for a while, which is weaker than a 2070 Super. Mostly low settings except for draw distance stuff gave me FPS in the 40s. I dealt with it.
Yeah like 99% of the settings give absolutely no fps benefit, I have it pushed to the absolute max
Yesterday I used eye zoom in Ugoldar in Kolguyev. 40fps -> 23fps.
So, looks like when mounted on tripod it often do have scope of some sorts, but pintle mounted on vehicles usually do not have scope ^^ It really depends
I have the release version downloaded and I get stable 60 fps, now 40. But the game also looks a lot better to be fair.

M60 is better against vehicles. becuase of how reforger system works M249 loses too much damange when penetrating even non armored doors. M60 with standard m80 ball ammo still gets better results against vehicles. Even more so once u unlock M61 AP belts

i dont always have an opportunity to aim for fuel tanks. id rather just kill the passengers. m60 is better at that due to much better damage in spite of its lower rof.
especially in instances if the enemy team captures a HUmvee. M249 cant penetrate the glass in the front. the M60 can even without AP ammo.
Unless you aim for a humvee the windshield wont be bulletproof, so I feel like I'd rather get more bullets into the windshield than less with more damage

i dont know ive riddled vehicles too many time with M249 and it hasnt dont its job. M60 is no PKM but it just has a more powerfull calibre thats better suited for anti vehicle use.
Eventually of course IRL M60 was replaced for infantry version of M240 which has a faster ROF, sadly its out of reforgers timeframe

I feel like the AP rounds must be discussed. M60 with AP belt is a lot of firepower for small arms, and not really matched elsewhere.
Yes, it doesn't come with them by default. The SVD also doesn't come with API rounds, the M16 doesn't come with a suppressor and scope, etc., but they are still factors in the relative power and utility of the weapons.

It's set to correct 550, but results in only 450 in game because 550 isn't a value that works at the moment. If it was set to 600, this value works and would be closer to its correct fire rate of 550, which is also somewhat variable.
I think in practice it varied from 550 to 650 depending on wear and other factors so 600 would fit better
And the PKM actually has a 3 position gas regulator IRL that changes the firerate which would be cool to see in Reforger

Is the size of the new map way off from the map grid? Or is the Soviet mortar info incorrect? I launched mortars in one of the campaign missions (set to destroy the comms equipment) and they were only supposed to land 650 meters away, but they went 1750 meters instead (starting elevation 415m, impact at 360m, but that's clearly not the issue here). I ended up failing the mission from friendly fire.
Now in Gamemaster, using a Soviet Mortar in the South side of Bovemont, launching 1 ring shells at 66° up and 44° NW (yes it's a bit off from the target radio tower, this was my first volley and I was going to watch and adjust), the shells land way off in Bare Ridge. Am I doing something wrong?

When you take the round, you can inspect it and change the number of ring charges.

It is. If you play on modded server, some mods probably breaks the lip sync.

You have to make a team with the AI and tell them to board the "vehicle", aim well.
You may want to play the tutorial regarding commanding, if you have skipped that.

Hi, with version 1.6 they removed ACE Medical Prototypes. In my milsim clan, we really liked having realistic medical mechanics, and the regular ACE Medical mod doesn't allow for that. Does anyone know of a mod like ACE Medical Prototypes, or if it will be re-uploaded to the Workshop?

throw all smoke grenade out. Then switch to frag (slot 4) and found it empty. Check inventory and I still have frag available. Needed to drag the frag back to slot 4

I have 3 devices available to map - Virpill T.50 (base and grip) , Siatek throttle quadrant and Dora rudder pedals (Slav devices). All three are working with helicopter together with TrackIR.
I have like 20 devices, but since R. can use only 4 at a time I just wanted to use Virpil collective, Winwing throttle, Rhino base and Thrustmaster Pendulum pedals. None of those were recognized, even though I hid everything else with HidHider.

Hello, we are Squad ALPHA, a veteran Arma 3 community currently preparing to add ArmA Reforger to our official activity, and we need help with a technical issue.
Context
We create missions using the ArmA Reforger Tools, specifically working through Enfusion Workbench with Scenario Framework (we do not use Game Master).
Issue
We have been unable to get JIP (Join-In-Progress) working in any of our missions built with Scenario Framework.
Why this is a critical issue
For us, JIP is essential.
Without it, any player who joins late cannot enter the mission, training session, or academy.
The only workaround is for an admin to use #restart, which is not viable for organized events.
Additional information
We use Reforger Lobby, which is a mod.
Could you please clarify whether JIP is currently supported in Scenario Framework, and if so, what steps or settings we must follow to enable it?

Scenario framework definitely supports JIP. Besides the fact that I've also used it, the combat ops official co-op scenarios also use it.

Our server is reading normal, no errors or other issues that we can visually see, however players consistently have horrible packet loss and results in them getting booted from the server. We had it happen last night to a small group where the server FPS was 80+ but everyone else was struggling. I’m open to suggestions to help mitigate

There’s no patterns when the waves hit, it’s just random intervals, we could be good for 30 minutes or every 5 minutes it happens. Regardless if we’re running a modded server or vanilla
Could be that you have too high network view distance/amount of active AI/player count/simulated vehicles in network view distance/etc., but it could also be network connection on the server or a game bug or something else.

It’s a real head scratcher because we recently started having these issues occur (approximately 3-4 months ago) we initially thought it was a mod causing issues but when the 1.6 update dropped and broke all of our mods and we resorted back to Vanilla. The issue was still present so it ruled out mods, whenever we have the issues happen we check the logs and it doesn’t show any issues occurring at all. The player counts whenever it happens could happen between 3-5 people on the server to 50-128 and it’s still the same. I’m hoping it’s not some sort of DDOS but I’m thinking it’s either the Bohemia API or our providers API, leaning more towards Bohemia but I could be wrong
I don't think that any external API should be a factor in this case, at least not in vanilla.
Could be that your provider is running out of bandwidth.

Yeah its apparentaly close to a 4060 so you will get good frames and good looking game. Maybe 60 or more on 1080 at mid/high settings if its a 4060
At minimum, it will certainly be better performing than an Xbox Series S, which plenty of people play the game on.

Set the mod version on a dedicated server. Clear your mod folder on console/PC then join that dedicated server and it will download the version you locked the server mods for.

It gets annoying between updates dropping that break everything, plus modders that jack up their own mods. At the current state, our server is where we want it to be but all it will take is client or server update to break something. We just want to lock down where we are because it works for us.

Is there anything about building crew served weapons in the Field Manual? The mortar page doesn't even explain how to put the mortar together.
Yet on Kolguyev there is a detailed step by step poster on taking a dump.
I figured it out pretty fast when I was the one at the arsenal but when I was trying to help explain it to someone who wasn't near me I couldn't remember the steps (since I hadn't used the system since it was first introduced in experimental) and neither of us found anything in the field manual. We tried googling it too but we kept getting explanations about how to build them in Conflict which is not applicable to Combat Ops.

Applying loadouts to AI is exactly what im doing provided it can be done from the GM interface and not requiring remote controlling them looking into a box.

I dont know that mod in Arma 3 but the way I've set my thing up is first you save the loadout in the arsenal box under bacon loadout editor, then one of those saved loadouts can be applied to a selection of characters in GM properties, for now there is "only" 10 admin loadout slots to use for those but I think it will be enough for most folks.

It's because audio right now is proximity based so if you move away in game master you won't hear proximity chat near your character unless it's on the radio only solution I've found is discord chats
check you windows settings before pinging the big man 🤣 , usually windows tries to be helpful and disables access or doesnt configure default audio input

Im Running 32gb DDR5, 3070 FE GPU, RYZEN 9 7900X.
Ive Underclocked my cpu to 4.8ghz from 5.5ghz and raised the volts from 1.1 to 1.2v as I heard sometimes certain cpus running over 5ghz can cause this, I've disabled steam overlay, nvidia overlay, I've verified file integrity and lowered my graphical settings to LOW. I've decreased my view distance from 2500 to 1500, and so far I still have not been able to prevent the game from crashing
An example of when I crash: I did Helicopter CAS scenario where you do missions, completed all the missions and when I finished and it was loading the next day for new scenarios it crashed... However there has been many other cases where the game will still crash mid gameplay for almost no reason. However it also seems to have a little pause/glitch moment that you would experience when a hotsave/autosave it commencing then it crashes. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share

I have a question regarding the apache mod, whenever I try and use the NVG as the gunner it’s way too bright and basically a white screen. On PS5 if that’s relevant.
Is this a known issue or a skill issue on my behalf?
They said that the removed compositions were hardly used, and they wanted to give more options with the new compositions.
Like how you can put the small sandbags with the MGs now.

Can somebody please explain why a heavy vehicle depot is showing so much more supplies than the base on the map?
There is an in-game report button, and the report button for the platform they are playing on.
latest patch that hit yesterday expanded the area from which the heavy vehicle depot (and any built tent at a base) can see supplies. i can't tell where in Meaux that is, but any supplies in warehouses that are part of the town or green supply point,the vehicle depot can source supplies from.

Anyone know of a scenario similar to Gramps that sticks mostly with the games vanilla standards and also does not wipe the whole map of established bases? Seems off that every base on the map has nothing but a command tent. It would seem much more releastic to come up on a few bases that have arsenals , sleeping quarters, depots, etc.. already established and you just take them over.

They vote kicked you, which gave you a temp ban. People do that all the time on public combat ops servers, they want them for themselves so they get their buddies together after middle school and vote anyone who joins out immediately

Worst case, you can make your own mod to make it work. Most mods aren't going to be made with campaign compatibility in mind.

Depends on how you want to implement it and how the mods you want to use are already implemented, but that's certainly a potential part of a solution.

Hello. I'm building a config file to use for my VKB sticks. Everything is working fine except for the heli weapons. Neither CharacterFire or HelicopterFire actions are working when bound to an imput source. Additionally, does anyone know what actions would be used to select weapons on the little bird and is it possible to bind each weapon to a different imput?

I like the fatigue system in vanilla, but it appears the scenario we play dumbs this down to where there is no penalty for sprinting and going right to ADS. Anyone know of a mod that would restore that back close to vanilla? I have been trying to see of an easy way to restore the vanilla sway and breathing but its all Greek to me. Seems you would be able to take the section pretaining to sway and breathing directly from the original and inject it back in.

Yes, though they aren't a huge threat most of the time.
Weather no, that can be set separately. However overcast (clouds), moon phase both greatly affect how dark the night is. Eg no moon and high overcast results in pitch black, while full moon, no overcast results in quite bright night

Hi! Could you please advise how to set up server restarts properly? We have two scenarios:
With loadSessionSave enabled, the world saves everything—even down to destroyed buildings.
With it disabled, nothing is saved at all.
We need to keep players’ progress (inventories, positions, stats) while letting the world reset, because our server is DayZ-style.
By vanilla players inventories dont save at all. Anything related to player is forgotten

I think you mean the opposite? I had to make a mod to disable player saves in my scenario (conflict). If I didnt do that, everything is saved.

Player position, inventory, rank etc is not saved, which is what he needs.
Rank is retained until server/scenario restart (conflict).
Position/inventory is retained only on certain dc reasons (while ai takes your place), if its enabled on server, and max is 2 min i think

In vanilla, you can make it take longer to despawn by having enough supplies in it (more than 30%, if I remember correctly) and getting back in it before 30 minutes (or something like that) will fully reset the timer. Standing next to it will partially reset the timer (to 5 mins if it is below that, I think)

In the old days, vehicles were never garbage collected. The roads were littered with jeeps and UAZs, and client and server performance suffered for it. They've made a bunch of tweaks to garbage collection since until it landed on the current implementation.
AI wouldn't change anything, it has to be a player.

Ai, has something to do with it, otherwise ai logi would loose their trucks to gc.
Perhaps if ai is inside vic, gc doesnt collect it
The logistics AI have a bunch of custom stuff.
AI also normally gets unloaded when players are too far, but the logistics AI is an exception.
Maybe something changed in the last update then because player position was definitely saved in first iteration of vanilla persistence. You would always log in exactly where you logged out, no spawn selection screen. I had to mod that out because I only wanted that functionality if the player crashes and reconnected within the timeout.

Experimental is currently behind the base/stable game. It is ahead when they use it to test new features/content before stable get the update, then it is behind until they have something new to test.
Cheytac is modded, vanilla is set in 1989.
Been like that for a while. Mind you we are talking about persistance(of player) over server restart.
And vanilla doesnt save that, never did. Only buildings vics etc, and even that badly.
Cause otherwise anyone running conflict with loadSessionSaved would retain their rank and position over server restart/crash.
That does not happen.
They must have changed something then. Here is where ark helps me mod player persistence out for my scenario. So it did in fact at one point save player position if you rejoined in time or not. I didn't want it for conflict, but others did want it for other game modes. #1430828753717559430 message

Im talking about vanilla conflict/gm. In my many crashes/server crashes/restarts. It never kept anything player related.
Until recently (last major) when player taken over by ai for n amout of time holds their slot/position/gear. But not saved loadout.
Rank always remained until server restarted/crashed.
Custom scenarios do save player stuff. Eg freedom fighters. But not vanilla
Well originally it did and I had to mod it out. 🤷♂️ (As of 1.6 release to stable)
Pretty sure it still does too, you might want to read up on the new persistence.
Maybe they're not using it on official servers I don't know I don't play those

It actually is. They have vanilla persistence set up for vanilla mp missions. Now whether they are actually using it is another question, I can't see their server configs to see if they enabled it or not. I'm guessing they are not the way you are talking about it not working.

Yes, I made the drone mod so it was plug and play with FPV drone controller controls
I control them with an Xbox controller but I've heard others using actual FPV controllers

Idk, the FPVs from the Realistic Combat Drone mod use there own controls seperate from helicopter controls
In any case, HOTAS setups and drone transmitters both just show up as HID joystick devices, so yes, you can make bindings for a transmitter.

What performance issues are you having? We ran a 35-40 player OP the other day with AI and no performance issues from what I could tell (only a replication mod issue).

if official non modded works then you can try some modded server (try one with least amount of mods)
and dont turn on mods manually
i tried three different official servers, and each time it said, Kik cause code: group=4 'DATA', reason=2 'SCRIPT_MISMATCH'
then try repair/verify your game install

Anyone have any idea why my ping for reforger servers has jumped by about 200 ping for each server? Literally playing the day before no problem and now have ridiculously high ping.
I know this sounds like a "you have bad internet" but my internet speed (download and upload) has not changed and I have had no issues on any other games, just randomly reforger started doing this now.

What makes you think it is thinking you are in an old squad? From what you've said, I'd assume you are trying to recruit from a group that can't be recruited (the groups that are available in both the small and large living quarters).

what is going on with reforger servers right now?
I downloaded some mods from the workshop, but they won't show up in the selection when I host a Gamemaster session. I tried restarting the game and disabling, reenabling the mods, all with their dependencies. I have yet to see a single mod show up in the Gamemaster selection.

Im on ps5 I have like 160gb
No on console you get 25Gb regardless of real storage space. Sony made them cap it. Then there’s issues with the game/workshop recognizing how much of that 25Gb is actually available which includes mods and save data. So really you’re lucky if you can even use 22Gb out of the 25. My advice, delete RHS completely, & download it by joining a server you’re trying to get in. If that doesn’t work, delete some mods you don’t mind losing and try the above again.

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be the case for me. I should have at least 3.5Gb available (accounting for mods+save data/cache) and without deleting anything I can only download individual mods 100mb or smaller without getting error 0. I can download multiple smaller mods exceeding 300mb in total so far. It could be a separate issue entirely but idk what or why. I’m not getting a storage limit notification. Just error 0. I’m assuming it’s related to storage in at least some way?
have you made a feedback tracker ticket about that? If not can you make one and add the details into it

Are you privy to what error 0 is? Could it be a connectivity related issue? In the past I got it mostly trying to update large mods that appeared to break the storage limit. Now it’s when I update or try to download new ones. Or is it actually storage related?

How large is the server mod list? If you were playing it before and it isn’t above whatever the limit is then you’re probably just having a download issue. If you already have RHS installed and need to update it then just delete the RHS packs and join the server. It should download automatically. That’s what I had to do yesterday bc it wouldn’t update or download straight from the workshop
you could make a modded class of SCR_ChimeraComponent that does not have SlotManagerComponent component
if I had to guess, RHS_ThermalSlotManagerComponent is a derived class of SlotManagerComponent so when it adds itself to Chimera there is an error since you cannot have two of the same components (this being the super class SlotManagerComponent)
Will someone who knows please answer my question? If you properly download a mod with its dependencies and enable it, should it show up in the vehicle selection when you host a 1-player server for yourself so that you can practice flying a helo in a sterile environment? I've tried everything and all I see are default units.
Google says 1) restart your system (did that) 2) disable and reenable the mods (did that) 3) create a preset (did that) ... nothing is working.

This question may be asked before regardless, is it possible to have AI squadmates mount several mortars or machine guns at a time without being GM?
Like I give the orders to AI to get in a mortar and then they all flock to the mortar until one mans it, then I tell them to head to another mortar but then they all flock there including the one manning the mortar
Well I assume it's similar to ARMA 3, in that orders are given to whole group
Giving an order to a single soldier is thus giving it the whole group
i thought so, thats a shame, I would try to remove the one manning the mortar from the squad and then give new orders for the squad to get in another mortar and then recruit that AI back but its quite clunky that process.
The solution is to create your own small groups, maybe a 2 man squad for each set of 2 mortars.
I don't know what the possibilities of AI are in Reforger, it seems more limited atm
In Arma 3, you could create your own state machine for the AI

if i join a modded server and the mods have been updated since i last joined, are the updates added on or are the old ones deleted and new ones installed? feel like its ridiculous to download 10gb of mods every time i join xd
they're completely deleted and downloaded from scratch, no matter the content of the update
Creating a file distribution and update system that can incrementally add or remove updates is perhaps not an easy task

What helo’s are you trying to use?
There’s the WCS ones (AH-1, AH-6, AH-64, etc), Aussiemercs UH-60 Blackhawk, and Colton’s H-47 Chinook that most use without issues.

Check the mods tab in your server setup. Otherwise maybe that Apache doesn’t work? I’ve never used that mod so idk and I’m on console so we don’t get that server setup page since we can’t host.
IDK if this is the case, but it's possible for modders to not add their mod assets (vehicles, soldiers, etc) to the GM menu. The update could have also goofed something and the modder has to do something like regenerate the GM prefab. They won't know unless you tell them or they test their mod after every update. Best to inform them to get it fixed sooner

community servers are simply the solution. no developers or studios want to waste their time babysitting misbehaving children in game

they do punish people like that if you make a ticket and have the server ID and timeframe or w/e though, whenever they get to it in their ticket system

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? I can’t find ANY servers. It says no results. I’ve tried variations of the name, clearing all filters, tried the server number, restarted pc, uninstalled reforger, and reinstalled, verified game files. Uninstalled and reinstalled battleeye, gave reforger app allowance of my firewall, and updated windows. I’m losing my fucking mind, I love this game but it doesn’t want me to play
If you have confirmed you have no filters on, maybe take a look at your DNS. Change it to Google's or CloudFlares as a test. Do you use a VPN?

Not using the experimental version, I did NOT have cross play enabled, I turned it on. Gonna test now

Yeah, few servers have crossplay turned off, so turning that off gets you very little to play on.
So, basically I want to play with a friend of mine on a private Combat Ops server or in general on a Game Master just to mess around with some modes. I've created a server, he see it, he uses the right password (it was "1234" so hard to get it wrong honestly) but it says to him "server unreachable", I don't know if the problem is the port, which is 2001, but I really don't know what to do. I don't use a dedicated server of course, I just host in-game, does somebody know what the problem could be?
