https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/arma3/2166736 (Arma 3 GM Warlords by Bohemia Interactive)
Currently 3 players in each servers
Fuck
There's 4 official GM servers
Plus the GM Public Server
They've been rather empty lately
Oh
If you join the discord you can likely find many players there
only thing missing are vocoded voices that say autobahn panzerkraft 😜
What is the difference between the dlc and the dlc mod?
dlc mod?
There is mod free of dlc
Do you mean this?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1776428269
No difference. Just users who don't bought the CDLCs can trial/use the CDLCs
With the same restrictions with other DLCs like ads and such, of course
Ok
And you can’t play on the terrain with only the mod as far as I’m concerned
^
And also as Polpox said, the same restrictions as with all other DLCs apply, see https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_DLC_Restrictions for more information regarding restrictions.
Three full years of GM!🎂
To celebrate we are updating all our GM Extras AND also bring you:
GM Extra Chernarussian Defence Forces,
GM Extra Chernarussian Defence Forces 2022!

We've separated Classic CDF and Current-Day CDF into separate packages. 🙂
As usual you can find us and the GM community directly on our dedicated Discord server:
Looks very cool!
the crew uniform (gmx_cdf2022_army_uniform_crew_digittsko) has wrong textures assigned I think, appears as a naked body, didn't notice any other issues so far
I'll check, that issue was already addressed a few hours after release.
Edit: Yep its solved.
Another big update? 👀
no
How fast do the GM Fagot ATGMs fly?
Seems like it would be somewhere in the 200m/s department, but it doesn't feel that fast
From the Armed Assault wiki :"9M111 missiles are hard-launched with an initial velocity of 36 m/s and take a further 5 seconds to reach a top in-flight speed of 186 m/s.".
ah, thanks
didn't think to check the wiki
Global wischmob
This mod sucks
It doesn't! It is the second most successful CDLC in BI's history for a reason...
I do crash on the campaign intro 100% of the time but that can be skipped
its good
No more updates?
either they are or not, the devs will not announce anything beforehand
same with the other CDLC's
It isn't! I mean it isn't a Mod.
It's paid mod 🙃
Not at all, this is the CDLC that took the least amount of reconditioned assets from Arma 2/3. They did so many things from scratch and topped the vanilla quality with most of them. The models, texture work, level design and animations are almost Reforger level.
The only thing against them was being the first CDLC at a time where the CDLC model wasn't clear for most Arma 3 players yet.
I agree with you, it is a paid mod
Out of all the CDLC's GM is the least you could call a paid mod
Not really - considering for example, that the cDLC uses models that haven't been seen outside usage as a cDLC and also that it uses 100% new assets across the board (as far as I remember)
What are these models you are speaking off? And do you have proof?
besides a modification is referred to as additional content to a game in any form or way (Vehicles, total conversions, texture packs, sounds, etc...). This clearly counts as a mod and if we wanna go deeper it can be categorised as a total conversion of arma 3, it literally turns the game into a cold war oriented game mods are expected to be free and voluntary community work. A case where you need to buy a mod is highly unusual and in my view a hostile business practice that contributes to commercialising the gaming industry even further. In this case this Modification can only be used as intended if you pay with real Currency.
All of the models in Global Mobilization - none of them are from the base game or really in any mod - hell the whole map has it's own models/buildings which are all accessible etc...
"besides a modification is referred to as additional content to a game in any form or way (Vehicles, total conversions, texture packs, sounds, etc...)."
The same goes to DLCs, are those paid mods or just mods? If not for you, is the Jets DLC a paid mod as it also a joint work with BI and Bravo Zero One? Or is the Czech DLC of A2 a paid mod as it also was a small joint work IIRC. No.
For example GM can't really be seen as a mod for me - for what it offers it is basically a DLC with approval and QA of BI, while not created by BI, so as it already says a Creator DLC.
The ability to be paid is also a good thing - while yes, modding is normally free, why shouldn't they be rewarded if they done exceptional work on a smaller or larger scale? Something like GM or SOG might not even be possible (with the same quality and scale) without any income, especially in the case of S.O.G (just look into #creator_dlc_discussion and read through some of the posts by Eggbeast).
A paid mod would be for me, that they just took a mod from the workshop, put a price tag on, and ship it out with maybe one or two things changed - which isn't the case for GM.
yeah it's a bit sad that people have these opinions, but not much point debating with them tbh.
they can play free mods we made also, and enjoy the lower quality that was the max achievable without paid artists
no need to win over any new fans from that camp. they enjoy free mods we made and keep their money for other things, which is their right!
there's room for everyone at the table 🙂
Whole A2, A2OA and A3 (apex + dlcs) were built on 3rd party work. CDLCs are just taking it a bit further. A lot of CDLCs devs worked on both actually. Many of them doing free mods for years too.
amen
DLC is original content from the developers of the game itself. Mod is a modification of original content by the community. GM and the other paid mods are definitely mods. The Approval for the Devs themselves is exactly 0% contribution as we can see with csla for example (Rimmy's Video on that sums it up all nicely).
"...why shouldn't they be rewarded..."
There is a difference in putting mods behind a paywall and having a donation link. They also get rewarded by alot of other means, other than money.
Yeah that's true for those that wanna throw money at people for no reason
So jets DLC is also a paid mod then?
Not sure how much I should worry about the gaming industry commercialization, ie. that they offer us more paid products. And that most games are being made by actual companies.

While I agree that CSLA isn't the best cDLC out there and has a bad rep. It's not that bad as people make it out - while it's qualitly might not be that good, it offers new and unique vehicles and stuff that at least I haven't seen and are fun to play with.
I am also certain that BI contributes more than 0% towards the cDLCs - IIRC they offer support for the cDLCs, at least that was said publicly - the creators might have more to say or something different on that. (As varis said below me, for example "opening up their platform for business by other companies.")

Donations do not cover it often. The money that gets put in a cDLC, for example S.O.G is a lot (referring to that for example: #creator_dlc_discussion message
They also behave the same as DLCs mostly - you can download a compat file on the workshop, look at the stuff they have and also play with people who have it activated, but with watermarks like the DLCs. This applies to GM and every other cDLC.
DLC is original content from the developers of the game itself.
As mentioned by SunCZu for example, some devs worked for both parties. I can't see how third party developed DLCs can be seen as paid mods - as they are either being approved by BI or even asked to be a cDLC.
Also as I kinda said before, according to you, some of the DLCs in the history of Arma should partially be seen as mods and not DLCs, as BI didn't to it by them self completely and instead had a third party dev working with them.
@sullen canopythe #1 contribution by BI is opening up their platform for business by other companies/3rd parties. That already is a big move.
I don't get why so many people consider it a terrible thing that some people are able to make a living from their passion.
And that companies that allow people to do that are terrible and should stop doing it.
As if the world was in any way better off if everyone would get less content and passionate modders wouldn't get money for their work.
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw very high quality CDLC for Arma 4 - primarily because the scene was already very successful with Arma 3
I guess also many people forget that Bohemia is not just a game developer, but also a publisher
Putting a focus on publishing content made by their passionate community, instead of publishing games made by other game dev companies.
Is somehow a bad thing
guy doesnt know what he is talking, besides... >quotes rimmy as valid opinion
gee
Then the question really would be is Arma 4 (?) content better than other game content that has no relation to Arma 🤔
As I said earlier, no point debating with this guy. He has a fixed and slightly odd view if the world and is welcome to stay in it. Nothing to add. Nothing to contribute that will make any positive difference to anyone. Just nothing… so no point replying or even reading. Added to block list.

correct me if I'm wrong but vehicles seem to be much "tougher" with crew than without it. Empty M109G goes down when blown up with satchel charge, crewed artillery piece takes less than 0.2 damage (both satchels are placed in the exact same spot for two vehicles), and I'm talking about vehicles manned by AI. Is it a setting that can be disabled?
Are you using mods such as ACE?
nope, I had RHS as I'm using the Livonian People's Army but issue is the same with or without any additional mods and with or without reduced damage enabled in difficulty settings
once the artillery piece is deployed to fire it requires more explosives to be instantly destroyed
what is the plan for the gm devs
expand to like south germany, denmark ect?
New factions?
More equipment for the existing ones?
even if they have plans they won't tell you because they can't.
Denmark already exists.
yeah i havent played in a while sorry
pushing east to Czech and colabs with CSLA
GM Dev here:
We haven't stopped development. :)
A plan is in place for more content, but as usual we can only show it when BI (our publisher) gives us the green light in regards to quality and scheduling for a release. The scheduling is always a bit of an issue, as there are now other CDLC working on updates, and of course the Reforger release is a priority for BI as well.
So all in all I'd say don't worry, GM is not abandoned!
Excellent Mondkalb! Can't wait to see what things will come to us
Well said mate
Our release was delayed by reforger and the steam sale, but its ready and passed QA which is why we can show some stuff this week. Its only under very specific circumstances a team can reveal what’s coming
Do CDLC teams have communication between them. Im just interested since GM and CSLA are in same period. Is there chance you are working on same content.
we could all work on the same content given our timeframes
it has happened, and will happen again
if creator DLC's were part of the main arma build so all players had the data, we could theoretically create faction variants of our kit to share across DLCs. we'd all like that i'm sure too, but unfortunately it's not possible.
would be a cool world to be in where we kinda commission mondkalb and galcomt to make T54 or PT76 for us to use and we make mig 21 and f4 for them to use for example
you can achieve it with mods anyway
there's also a moderate risk of player confusion, saying "hey i have to buy TWO dlcs to get all this cool stuff! that's unfair!"
"you showed pictures of this or that asset, but i need to buy another dlc for it - that's fraud!"
so it's maybe not such a simple situation
Hey is there any mod that adds content missing in global mobilization like mi-24s and stuff from rhs or cup to the global mobilization factions?
It's not exactly what you're looking for but check out DCX, DMOrchard's CDLC Crossover mod
not everyone have GM, also it's a pain because of Arma 3 Launcher you need to restart everytime you want to play a CDLC
Maybe join their discord and see if you can find some people to join at the same preplanned time
@lost orbit can you pin it?
It is already pinned
