Sounds like port forwarding was set to a temporarily assigned LAN address. Do check to reserve addresses for DHCP by means of machine name or MAC address.

In case anyone else is interested, couldn't see anything wrong in the settings but network reset worked. Probably fucked up McAfee leftovers.
It is simple. It is the way networking is supposed to be by default. To protect you from intrusion. Bohemia Interactive doesn't, and should not have any control over it outside your knowledge.
If you want to host a server and potentially lifting some of the protections to benefit other usage of your network connection then you need to know what you are doing.
Hello, I'm having trouble loading some mods onto my server. I uploaded them to the server, but it's not loading them. The mods are O&T Expansion Eden, Flags & Banners & Insignia - United States, and Modular Cages & Armory.
Do the foldernames of the mods match what is listed in the -mod= parameter?
Your server should also create an RPT log file which has a second text-table showing all the mods mentioned in that -mod= parameter, and whether it was able to find anything of that. Please upload that file for any clues.
That's the log file, and I've already verified that the names are the same.

I can't see any of those three mods in your modline. So I'm guessing this is Nitrado.
So nitrado is not just bad for reforger?
All Arma 3 hosting providers are bad. Nitrado is another category below that.
One of their common issues is that the mod line seems to get desynced. So you change it but the changes do not apply. I'm not sure how to fix that, but probably some variation on turning things on and off again.
That looks like far too many mods for a 32-bit server anyway though.

We do, for one simple reason. Some mods we like use cup as dep, and some other rhs as dep

It's not hard to make strings of compatible modsets and replace (copy/paste) them whenever you are going to play some other mod-theme.

Yes but we dont stick to one theme and each mission is whatever zeus'o the day decides. And since we decide on modpack based on democratic vote its hard to decide what/when. So we ran them both for years with no problems, except disk space that is.
But yeah, in this @normal spruce case, too many mods for a memory limited executable I think. Don't pile mods because you can't be bothered to be selective or choose what you want to play. Clearly you are loading multiple terrain mods that you can't possibly play at the same time.
Not the actual issue though. Those three mods aren't in the command line.
If it did manage to start then it'd probably crash :P
looking at RPT, it warns about too many mods, but thats only steam query, mission wont load because of missing assets that arent found even in command line, like Flags & Banners & Insignia - United States which would lead to server not showing correct amount of mods, or even not showing in browser. But given that someone connected to it, is not the issue,
So probs just double check that these mods are included. Command line doesnt seem to terminate at random either, so its not some string limit.
With so many mods in the list, it's longer than the text box entry field. While it may not be limited by the server memory, I can easily see something having gone wrong with editing this field. Like accidentally not pasting those mod names or clipping them because they are out of view.

First thing to check would have been to list only those missing mods and see if the server loads them anyway.
if it would attempt to load them they would be in command line.
And errors down the line why they wouldnt be.
I already tried that, I loaded only those mods and they didn't load. I also tried repairing the folders but it didn't solve anything.

While Nitrado may not be the best, to put it mildly. The reason for those mods not working out might be due to other reasons not due to them. Maybe it is, but it would be strange for those special case mods.
Always double check your own steps first and make sure something is properly downloaded into that system. Like actually look into the mod folder and compare how they look on your own system. Anything missing in either one of them?
Switching to something else without knowing the actual cause is just another blind man's walk.
Well, it loads no mods at all. What's in that additional mods text entry? What are the folder names? Screenshot of FTP client please. And what is in it.

There are a bunch of ampersands "&" in those names. rename the mod folders to have them without.

You can make up your own name for those mods. As long as you reference it the same way as the mod folder is named.
Anything that is short and still uniquely recognisable.
You can also try some shenanigans like \& in mods entry box, but it isnt guaranteed to work
Yeah, somehow escaping those characters gets messed up. & should be a legitimate character in a foldername.
Also these hosting providers should look into being able to receive presets exported from a3 launcher.

Some of the Linux hosts work from launcher presets. And most hosts will at least automatically generate the keys folder. Nitrado is minimum functionality.
Still heed the advice given above. Too many mods that you don't really use is going to bite you eventually.
i heard same of them for reforger. Minimal effort, support and maximal overselling

Speaking of keys, Some mods used by you, are client only mods, Like better inventory, means only clients need mod, server just needs the key. If you are using verifySignature = 2: But i suspect you dont, so it doesnt matter anyways
That ampersand bug is amazing though. It doesn't leave any partials in there like you'd expect if something in the chain didn't handle the character correctly. It's more like something is pre-processing the modline intentionally and then throwing away the names it doesn't like, without telling you.

been facing an weird issue lately where after each pc restart the launcher seems to say i have mod and dependencies missing even though i haven't deleted them ever

Nobody said it should be an easy task to locate them on thermals. But yes, the contrast in the current thermal images isn't as great as what it used to be before a few years ago. It does seem more realistic now.

That seems to be over 350 mods. Try to never load more than 40-75 at the same time.
Don't use a mod unless:
- You know exactly what it does
- You specifically want that thing
- You aren't using a mod that adds basically the same thing or overrides it anyway
- And you would notice if the mod was missing and actually care

That specific mod list had 112 mods but the issue was occurring in mods not in a specific modlist
I’ve unloaded all mods and I would find a mod or 2 with a red sign indicating a missed dependency of which I never deleted nor has the mod updated

Not certain why this happens but sometimes when I hop in a helicopter as a passenger and give it a waypoint, it just keeps going up and up. I teleport myself out wit zeus, and it starts working normally

Not really. Dedicated server talk for Arma 3 happens mostly in #server_admins or #server_windows or #server_linux depending on the OS.
As that is likely from the Expeditionary Forces CDLC your server is likely not on the CDLC branch. Are you renting a dedicated server or installed one on your own system?

The point was if it is rented online, or if it is something you set up yourself with SteamCMD, or a server admin tool like FASTER.
Either way, once the server is on the creatorDLC branch you need to load the cdlc folder as a mod.

I have been having an issue loading into any sort of maps on arma 3. I have attempted different maps, in multiplayer, and just regular editor. I have no mods enabled, nor dlcs. just plain vanilla arma. This is a new issue i have been having, i haven't had any problems loading into games before. I have tried verifying files, and i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game to see if maybe anything would fix and it has not. I appreciate any assistance i can get in this situation. Now i can launch the game through the launcher with no problem, it is just when i start loading into a map is when my game finishes the loading process, blacks the screen for about 2-5 seconds, and puts the loading screen back on and sits there for the remainder of the time.
It normally finishes the bar on this screen
And after it finishes is when I sit there with the bar complete

Anyone ran into this before? Player on my groups dedicated server connects and is presented with this. It is supposed to be role selection screen.
- Their mods are correct.
- They have verified game files.
- They have cleared the Datacache folder.
Only other non standard things is they are connecting via a VPN. But they do make it into the server, just the lobby UI doesn't actually load.
(Also world is empty hence the black and blue abyss, don't worry about that.)

my nvidia laptop gpu is sitting on some drivers from march 25 because after that I had problems with dual screen setup. you could try going back a year.
and check your temps while playing. Try limiting the frames too

and to be on a safe side maybe run a benchmark or play some gpu-heavy game as usually this means that the gpu can't keep up or there's some failure in the card that was shipped to you.
Does the monitor connected to the GPU actually show something? I had a brandnew system with GPU too, and the PCI socket didn't connect fully because the card was 'flapping in the breeze' because of insufficient fixture to the chassis.

run a benchmark like furmark and see if the gpu does not fail to rule out hardware issues
if you have a minidump from the crash send it to dedmen so he can look at it and perhaps will be able to tell you what's the exact issue

maybe you could fix it (temporarily or permanently) by resetting the path to your mods

Hello, I have been having a pretty consistent issue of crashing out of a game session, sometimes a CTD, when nearly 1 hour in, it has been consistently about 1 hour of gaming, with a leadup of decreased frame rate, I believe it is a memory leak, but I have no idea how to solve it

I would say ask first what is the requirement of that AMPserver. They likely set a ping limit or something. Might be in some admin panel that works as a front end, but it is all in a config file for sure.

I am using WCS mods and have WCS_weapons, WCS_RHS_weapons, WCS_attachments, WCS_scopes, in that order just after my ACE mods. any thoughts?

I restarted the game several times - I tested the mod, and once again I restarted - this message popped up
I suspect that this is due to the fact that the battleye is not available, after restarting the PC, the error disappeared, but the battleye is not available.
verify your game, a file may be missing or corrupted
Or antivirus thinks Battleye is being naughty. Check exceptions. It is a Windows service. Might need restarting.
That message could be Antivirus blocking BattlEye.
Or BattlEye blocking itself, that I can only imagine if the exe file is corrupt.
Well I got a new SSD, with a much higher read/write speed so hopefully this primary issue is resolved and secondarily I can finally see the multi threading frame rate improvement
hello i need some help and wasnt sure where to ask or look, im making mission on eden editor and im trying to set up roles and spawns when testing in single player and multiplayer it works but when adding the pbo to my server i cant click on any roles even after logging into admin, Roles are all set to playable so im un sure what to do now

If you are just using "enhanced movement rework" you will have errors as this mod requires enhanced movement

Usually best to just disable the limit
The only exceptions I can think of are a computer chronically short on memory (probably would mean less than 16gb physical ram total, and it would be struggling with many games)
Or running multiple Arma instances on the same computer with limited ram, basically only for used for servers

That usually means the mission was made with some mods that arent on the server (if by slots open you mean it says like 0/16 or something but the slots themselves arent there)

Problem: when you press escape (ESC) to either open or close the menu the game freezes/lags for 1~3 seconds,
Solution: apparently my .vars file in Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\$PROFILENAME was too big, i just copied settings over using export/import option, and saved the old settings file somewhere else (just in case something didn't carry over), i have no idea what else the .vars. file has other than settings, and either made a new profile and/or copied the same/other existing profile vars over to the profile i wanted to use

You can debinarize the vars file with A3 tools cfgconvert.
And look what's inside it
Some game modes save data in there. Old Man, Vindicta, Antistasi etc.
And gear loadouts from the arsenal end up in it. Though that probably wasn't the cause of the file getting too big.

My mission is spamming .rpt errors, in Editor, playing local, aswell when playing on our server. During our last 2 games it has lead to a desync/crash for about half the server playerbase, which it seems they/the server is not able to recover from(?). I loaded up another mission file (months old iteration of the mission technically) and the errors stopped, so I have concluded that it is mission related.
The error in question:
"Error during evaluation of expression _source->AccessSourceType()->_moveVelocity"

Hello, Im experiencing a frustrating arma 3 audio issue. All of my audio is centered and mono. telling where sounds come from is impossible. I've tried the following: updated the drivers, all of the device's audio enhancements are off, same for spatial sound and the format is set to 16 bit, 48000 Hz. Thanks in advance

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone had a similar issue happening recently. When loading the mission on dedicated server pre-placed AI are sitting/floating in the air. Testing in Eden editor/Local MP AI behaves properly.
Nothing really changed in terms of mods/mission development flow.
It is a bad particle effect, where its "moveVelocity" is a script, in the particle config.

It sadly doesn't tell you which particle effect that is, I'll add that to next weeks #perf_prof_branch with the -debug parameter
if it happens only on the server, it's most likely due to an animation mod behaving erratically, or you added a mod to the server that causes it

Fully vanilla, if I place a soldier in editor with a gps, disable the option (attributes -> general -> states), and then preview in singleplayer, the mini-map still appears

I managed to circumvent the issue by blacklisting the GPS in Ace Arsenal and telling people to get a DAGR from ACE, but that's a modded solution

I somehow fixed the issue by turning spatial sound on launched the game, quit the game then turned spatial sound off. Dont ask me why it works, it just does. Go figure.

If your scenario doesn't have a respawn set or has AI players can spawn into, they spawn as a seagull.

One of my friends who runs Linux Mint was trying to join on a public server with me. However, when they opened up Arma 3, all of the servers including the official one didn't show up. They were playing the game unmodded and the launcher was saying that Steam was offline, despite their Steam app being online and working just fine.
we have a respawn set. and they can always respawn, but sometimes, they just respawn as a seagull with no simple explanation.
@inland kayak pboproject uses binarize as well. But it has a much much better lint check system to tell you if there are any errors in your code and will not pack if there are
if you want to pack stuff, always go with pboProject!
it can be a PITA for stopping each time an error occurs in your mod/script, but this also helps you fixing stuff even before you fined it ingame
Hey, I am having an issue, few of our guys on dedicated server get stuck in infinite loading, we found that them leaving (getting kicked off) the server and rejoining into a different slot sometimes works (or they have to do it a few times.)
I have one of the guys RPT file. he tried to join, failed and than sent me his RPT. Is this the place where someone knows how to read those? We play modded, so ideally would like to figure out which mod or object might be messing with them.

hey everyone, I was hoping I could find some help. I've got a campaign in a few hours and my dedicated server won't let me in. I don't know where to start.
I have been trying for two days now and I just can't figure it out in the slightest.
I can launch the server, but I can't load into the actual game, after the lobby. I get booted back to the lobby almost instantly. If it ends up being something simple I am sorry in advance, I am quite new to working with dedicated servers.
I also can load up the mission in a lan game with no issues
I get these errors after I get kicked, but they have never caused me errors before

Warnings are normally not fatal. Errors are. But I don't know enough about SQF coding. Maybe that setting of the default value lacking is configured incorrectly affects the issue.
Not loading the mod and seeing if the issue persists is the easy way to check.

That could certainly be an issue, scenario code conflicting.
Smart idea, test your setup a day before you are forced to host the campaign.
Don't commit to promise to host something until you are sure it works. Tell your friends it is not going to happen until it is fixed.

Yeah, local hosting ingame doesn't restrict which mods are used or missing. Dedicated server with the default signatureVerification setting does complain if the mods are lacking or the wrong ones.

That is a non-issue. Ignore it. Every server or client says that everytime it creates an RPT file.
In this latest RPT file (, or just log really. As the server on linux doesn't produce an RPT file by itself) the folder was correctly found. And it seems the things inside the PBO file were correctly interpreted and parsed. The 2nd text table no longer says Game Folder not found.
I'm sorry, I don't know what could be the further issue. There are some error messages related to the mission you are trying to execute. But I am not familiar enough with how that should look.
You didn't show the latest client RPT, maybe the real issue is shown in there.

Having an issue with Novogorsk, if you place a vehicle in certain spots, it causes frame times to spike leading to massive FPS loss every couple of seconds, with no reason as to why

I'm having a problem with my development branch connecting to steam in the launcher
getting "Updates unavailable - steam is offline" regularly, but not 100% of the time. I have to restart steam to fix it
EDIT: I think setting both arma3, arma3battleeye and arma3launcher.exe to run as administrator may have fixed the issue
EDIT #2: It seems that running the dev branch as a non steam game causes this issue, while running the launcher exe from the folder works fine. Shortcuts work as well
Is there some trickery I need to do to run a dedicated server on the development build?
I can see my server by filtering and its listed under recent, but I can't see it listed by remote.

I was able to get the server to show in the servers tab of the launcher, but I cant seem to join it (infinite loading screen). Note that I can run a 1.54 server and connect to that fine

yup I noticed that my GPU was using like 140 watts tops, reverted the driver and its back up to like the 220ish it usually does.

So at this point I can see the server listed under the internet and recent tabs, as well as under the servers tab in the launcher, but I get a connection error while trying to connect. I'd like to restate that this is a development build server.

Well, then maybe your monitor is limted to 60 FPS. Even if V-sync is disabled, it still limits to to that refresh.
I mean, my 100+ fps feel like 60, my picture just starts to tear, and playing with vertical sync is not very good, it creates a lag

that could explain it - if your monitor is 240hz then unless your fps is 240 exactly you're gonna see screen tearing
I changed the frequency from 240 to 60, the difference is zero, I think it is locked

Well, maybe you are just cooking your GPU asking for that many FPS. Keep it reasonable at 60 or a lower FPS than 120 or so.
When playing on the server I have about 90-80 fps, but again the picture looks very bad due to some kind of lock

I figured it out I had to install a older driver to my PC and then it worked perfect
And WCS is one of the main factors for crashing. It has a bunch of mods that can corrupt very easily
it was a false alarm, it was an issue with the Caucasus Insurgency mod and not RHS itself
hey fellas, i encountered a weird issue today while trying to host an op for my unit. whenever i join the scenario and pick the roles it shows the loading screen, and then kicks us back out into the mission selection menu. i tried deleting all of the objects in the scenario and it still didnt work. pls help, thx :)
The monstrous AMF spam suggests that you are not loading sufficient AMF mods.
They changed their CfgPatches system so the mission doesn't necessarily have the correct dependencies anymore.

yes, as a last resort i tried deleting everything from the scenario to make sure its not any object i put down

I don't think there's any way of knowing. Your best bet is to delete the scenario and start again, testing regularly.

The error logging should be better, but the trouble is every time this shows up it's with a massive broken modlist, so it's not feasible to put up a replication case.
i decided to make a new scenario to try it again, still, with only 1 unit and a respawn it causes the mission select issue. im so lost man
i already tried unloading all of the local mods and nothing
im currently having an issue where units instantly despawn after being killed? like the body gets instanly deleted.. also when i go in first person, the shadow of the characters head is missing if wearing a RHS helmet. is that possibly related, and fixable?
i checked the garbage collector settings in eden editor, that shouldnt be the issue
it doesnt happen in other scenarios, even if i run the same scripts in them - is there anywhere else such a setting could be hiding?
ugh.. nevermind, i fixed it - Arma 3 Rpt was full of readings like this:

anyone know why my server wouldn't create a .mdmp file upon crashing? i see my own client consistently does so upon crashing, but not the server
I notice the rpt also just terminates abruptly without signaling that the dump has been created or the error code
hm... actually i just noticed the mdmp does get created in some cases after looking through all my server profiles, there's only 4 mdmps in the last few years; bit hard to debug a potential extension issue if it seems like not every crash acutally creates one

last one was december 2025, RPTs are consistently always there for every session at least (and yeah it's not -noLogs being enabled or anything)
problem is the crash im having doesn't show anything related to the crash in RPT, last message is always something unrelated; not even the usual RPT "dump created + error code" that you'd get during crashes
so my hope was a mdmp file to see at least a rough idea of why it's happening; rarely ever check dumps but im desperate now and willing to do lol
It occasionally happens to me clientside, maybe it's to do with the OS killing it rather than it crashing internally? Are you particularly memory limited or anything?
mm yeah could very well be an OS thing - not memory limited (first thing i did was monitor for a memory leak and it's completely fine)
for context i was fine tuning a headless client setup for a mission and stress testing against a few different scenarios; during some particularly heavy where a lot of units were transfered it would kill the server but the HCs would stay running - i then did the same test without transfering to HCs, keeping all the units on the server, and there was no crash - i suspect it might be a mod that's having issues with locality or something else, in any case at least knowing what kind of error it is (and whether it might have to do with an extension from a mod) would be nice instead of going in blind
went through memory leak, then tried with maybe it's an sqf infinite loop, but if that's the case the server would stay running and instead just freeze everything, now im left wondering what else it might be
Wait... fuck.... it might be the damn 13th gen microcode bs again.. i just remembered i had a similar issue before and it had to do with using headless clients which i havent done in ages, the whole cpu would end up being used and itd sometimes crash one instance so i had to lower the clocks

Rpt text is sent to standerr/stdout. If it ends up in a rpt file then someone piped the output through to it. Not by default.

Locked servers have a password, that means you are not supposed to join, and the others you can't join is most likely because you don't have the right mods enabled
Either join from the launcher or play on vanilla servers. You can also join a community to have access to their private server.
I don't remember exactly how i got the secret since its been a while but I personally have the TOTP (steam guard code) in bitwarden and use set_steam_guard_code in steamcmd before logging it with the totp code from bitwarden
I got a copy of the config vdf after logging in locally to steamcmd, took the contents and put it into a secret. Had to update the action to take the optional parameter but it should work

ACE is throwing an addon mismatch error when connecting to my server, and it keeps kicking me out. Thing is, all of these mods that it thinks are missing are loaded server side. They've reported loading as well in the console of the server so I dont get it.
The mods may be loaded on the server, but perhaps the wrong version? In any event, compare the RPT log file of the server and the client. It should have a 2nd table made of text showing which mods it was told to get.

The only other possibility of servers not showing is if you have some kind of 3rd party firewall that doesn't like the traffic the replies from servers result in.

Don't use quick play. It finds random servers. I don't know if the Friends feature should even work. Never tested it. But if his server is actually findable then his server name should eventually show up in the internet tab (among the thousands of othert servers). So be patient and let him choose a distinct name for his server.
If he doesn't show up at all, then his home router is blocking attempts of Steam and later you to connect to it. It either does not support UPnP or his ISP does not allow port forwarding to work in their network topology.
And make sure to find the server through the launcher server browser incase he loaded any mods. As you need to get the same mods, and the game can't change those while it is running.

Well, it may not be due to your distance or strength to your wifi-accesspoint/router. Or it might, depends on how many walls and other obstructions you have in the way. Ideally you should connect by ethernet wire. As wireless connections are much unreliable and congested.
But it may be caused by disturbances along the way to the internet.
if you join servers with battleye on, the anticheat will kick off if you have packet loss or substantial jitter. Better to just run a cable from the router to your PC.

Even without battleye. Arma's signature checking will regularly kick you with ~1% packet loss.
I would consider this to be a bug.
At least try it and see if it improves. Then you can narrow it down to wifi-wireless transmission blockages.

For some reason when I spawn this character into the game, it COMPLETELY CHANGES my outfits. It happened after i installed a few mods. I have gotten rid of the past few mods i used and it still does this.
Disable more mods until it stops happening. The only thing you can do when there's a mod issue is disable mods, usually one at a time.

don't always need to do one at a time, you can disable half, no issue, in the half you disabled, still issue, in the half you didn't, disable half of the remainder and repeat (classic bisection), if mods are dependent on other mods, disable "groups" until it vanishes
either is way faster than potentially disabling 50-60 mods one at a time

Hello. I can't launch the game or launcher at all. I get that weird windows error sound then a dialogue box comes up that says, "Unexpected error occurred: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)" and creates a text file that gets saved to my desktop, then the game closes. I get the same result when I try to start DayZ. I haven't tried playing either of these games since probably 6/2024 so I'm not sure exactly what the issue could be. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm. Not sure if A3 and the launcher even have any DLLs in common.
Maybe it is that Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable issue underneath. Google did show a few similar results pointing to that. But that file might give more direct pointers than me just guessing.
put view distance 1500 and object distance 1000 at start and object detail standard. maybe even lower distances. see what it does for the fps. in multiplayer there are usually also some separate settings for those distances so you might need to tweak those also.
I need some help here, i have been using the titan MRPL compact launcher, which can lock onto targets but i dont know how to? And also how do i cycle through the fire modes it has like seek, direct, etc.
MPRL compact is only a anti-tank/vehicle launcher. It doesn't work against air assets.
Also, those vehicles need to be warm to lock on to. So they need to have their engine started before it gets to work.

Make sure you have the AT (anti-tank) missile and not the AP (anti-personnel) missile loaded.
Check your keybinds for the lock key.
I will chamge the keybinds for it, it might be another thing overriding it because i only see the T key finding out the range.

Yes. When you press T when pointed at a target, the "seek" light should light up in the UI, you get bips and an open diamond.
Once it's locked it's a closed diamond and a higher tone.

I've been doing some research and saw that the pbo's had to be lowercase so I made them all be renamed whenever they're added (see picture one). Yet whenever I load some mods (Swedish Army Mod 3 & JCA - Tactical Facewear are examples). Is this because of the spaces in their names, special characters, or perhaps something entirely different?

5 years of playing and ive still never figured out what causes this "OUT OF MEMORY" crash

If you are setting custom parameters, please verify that you understand them and you are setting them correctly. Here are some guidelines:
Only use the -cpuCount parameter if you want to intentionally limit how many CPU cores the game can use. The engine can already automatically detect how many cores you have, so you do not need to tell it that.
The -enableHT parameter has no effect if -cpuCount is set, so setting both is wrong. Our tests have shown that -enableHT performs worse, but it may depend on your hardware. You can use YAAB to test if it actually helps in your case.
The -exThreads parameter should not be used. If you have a 4 core CPU or better, all of them are already enabled by default. And if you have fewer than 4 cores, enabling more exThreads is more likely to cause harm than to be helpful.
If you are using an external tool to adjust the "Process Affinity", which reduces the number of CPU cores the game can access, you need to use -cpuCount to inform the game about how many cores it can actually use.

Looks like it crashed on creating a texture. And the page file got filled to the brim (7.5 MiB free) So try to use less mods that add graphical enhancements/stuff that comes with textures.

Does anyone have any idea how to host a server on arma using the host tab in multiplayer? i followed the forum and steps on how to open my ports for my router and got all the IP stuff but when my friends try to join it gives them reason 1 and reason 11 " server is unreachable". Anyone have an idea of what i may be doing wrong?

If it's not throwing a UPNP error then you're probably on CGNAT and you can't host directly.
its not popping up a upnp error i go in just fine, its just it never pops up on my freinds screen
What name did you give your server? Was it a unique name or the standard "arma 3 server"? Also was he looking in the Internet tab of the launcher serverbrowser?
I went to the server browser and didn’t change the name and he swaps back and forth between recent and freinds
If he hasn't been able to join you then he also can't find it in Recent. Internet is where it should end up eventually. Might take a while to show up among the thousands of servers though. But it is likely that your efforts are blocked by the Carrier-grade NAT setup of your or his ISP.
Also, if the firewall is not set to allow Arma 3 to receive from public networks then nothing comes through and won't show up.

Yello, did anyone encounter any issues with TFAR recently? Yesterday only 1 person out of 12 managed to get connected with server fine, while other had the "addon version: unknown" on the TS, causing TFAR to stop working. Changing the arma to performance build seemed to help few of the people but some are still affected.
I don't think we had any issues lately but then we're running TFAR beta.
Having trouble with a multiplayer mission I made on Pulau, that I play as Zeus in Gamemaster mode. We played a few sessions with no issues and then ace updated and we get a file mismatch. The error shows me, being the host has the older ace and cba mod file although I have updated those. I have tried verifying files, reinstalling the game, and even opening the mission in editor and saving it, but I still get the error. I also get this error just before the mission starts when hitting continue in the lobby: no entry'bin\config.bin/CfgPatches.ace_compat_aegis' I don't know if they are related. Attached is my last load report.

Yes, the mission name is "Pacific Sentinel."
I think it trying to load a save with the old version of the mods, that's why it doesn't work
idk if you can edit a save, maybe someone else can help with that
but I guess you'll need to remake the mission
curious any one can help me just bought arma 3 installed game when i try to launch in steam its stuck on running install script and yes my computer can more then run this game
says i played 1 minutew when game never opened

Ive closed all windows there was one asking permission to modify my pc i said ok and still wont load im at my ends lol
I can only suggest to verify the ARMA download in Steam. Many times it will fix stuff like this, but not always
And restart Steam, restart computer, etc.
