you can see if you have Chernarus in the editor in OA

then its CO

In the root folder of ArmA, you should have a folder named userconfig, inside that folder there should be a folder named ace, inside ace, you should have a file named ace_clientside_config.hpp

Inside the mod folder, @ace, there's a folder named clippi. Inside it, you'll find the aceclippi application. Run it, configure it, and you'll solve this problem.

Hi, can you guys give me a hand? I purchased ARMA2 on steam, but I struggle with the save games, that are always being impossible to load after restarting the game. When I return to the game, and select to continue the campaign Harvest RED, it crash with message: "Mission depends on content which was deleted or is not avalaible for download. ca_missions_acr, woodland_acr, bootcamp_acr, mountains_acr."

what have been done - check google, check this forum, apply the 1.64 downgrade to 1.63 but it crashed again, and I am unable to play the game.

started the campaign over, and came to the mission Amphbious Assault. I did not mess without any mods, and played [legacy] that refers to 1.64.
downgrading to 1.63 did not help even with starting th new game.

6- Run ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead

7- Install ArmA 2 British Armed Forces

9- Run ArmA 2 Private Military Company
10- Private Military Company should start installing to A2OA.

Game it should work with all DLCs without problems.

One detail I forgett to mention, and that is that I do not own any of the dlcs. The core game contains some kind of pre-installed lite edition dlcs of the ones you mentioned.

As I was browsing thru the web, no dlc s are required to complete the arrowhead or harvest red campaign

I understand... but as mentioned in my previous post, if you don't have any DLC, just skip that step.
The Red Harvest campaign belongs to ArmA 2 Standalone, not Operation Arrowhead, so you have to complete the mandatory step I mentioned before, skipping the DLC.

It's true, Operation Arrowhead has lite versions of the DLC for compatibility reasons, for those who don't own the DLC's.

And obviously, even if you go back to version 1.63, you'll have to restart the mission because the saved game sometimes doesn't work. Maybe it's corrupted by the previous version. I don't know. I only know that sometimes it works, and if it doesn't work, restart the mission and it will work.

I also add this response to the thread that you created in Steam, you will see it in one of the two places.

I've been in the community since 2001, and I know the story... proper names—names of people, places, brands, products, franchises, and organizations—don't follow traditional spelling or grammar rules, and as you can see in the ArmA 2 logo itself, there's no lowercase A.

I also know what ArmA means, written in my native language.

When they announced the first ArmA it was actually called Armed Assault, shortened to ArmA. And long story short, they finalized their branding to Arma by Arma 3 came out or late Arma 2. So no ArmA.

Yo hello everyone, new to ArmA2, played ArmA gold before, and before that the mobile game. Just finished the Harvest Red campaign, painful at first but ended up being amazing, and now im trying the OA campaign, but its absolutely insane how braindead the AI is, I tried for 5 hours to beat the first mission with the heli landing in plain enemy airbase but my most of my team gets killed every single time, take forever to go to places, or go through suicidal paths (im playing in edited veteran difficulty btw)

I know the campaign aint the strongest point of the game, I remember in harvest red the find lopotev mission and me driving desperately to try intercept him after shaftoe alert radio, just to get blown up because I got off limits, and at the end you cannot capture him lol
Also how can I forget the Osprey and bicycles mission

I took the time and read the chat from 2016 to yesterday, found that some people had the same problems, but I havent found solutions
Is there any fix, mod, addon that fixes this or I really have to turn down the difficulty, or worse, cheat with some command codes, unless the campaign really is broken

Turn down difficulty and/or set AI accuracy to zero.

OA's campaign was primarily catered for co-op so it's a lot harder in SP where you don't get respawns and don't have three other human players controlling Graves/Pierce/Herrera. I'd also suggest running MCC Sandbox to help with situations where the AI gets stuck on waypoints.

Hey guys! hope you can help, because i could not find a fix online. i just got arma 2 and my fps is at times at 120 or so, but sometimes its 40 and it seems to get worse, my gpu runs at 30%ish and about the same for Cpu. does anyone know why? (I have a 1080TI ftw3 and a I9 12900k) Thank you!

Haha! Yeah I have it at about 7000.

At first I had it had 10k but then I lowered it to increase fps. But I thought it was strange it was dropping frames to begin with, then I seen my GPU and cpu were only working at 30%ish. I even tried playing with the "set affinity" option to make sure all the i9 cores weren't breaking the game. But that didn't work either, so I ran out of ideas and figured the community might know what to do.

It will make a larger impact the higher u set it because it's just basically a cone (depending on your FoV), and it has to render more and more the higher it goes if you get what I mean.

Also monitor your CPU usage. If you just play singleplayer it's possible (but I'm not sure cuz I dont play SP) that it can't use more than 2 cores for rendering AND all of the units processing. I think it's different when you play on a server tho. So if you can setup a server even on your machine, it's possible that some of the processing power can be utilized on 3rd and 4th core.

Help - using steam A2OA, I am getting arma 2 cannot load world ca\bootcamp_acr\bootcap_acr.wrp. If I UNINSTALL the ACR DLC it works but I cannot install it and then run A2OA. I checked and the ACR folder IS in the A2OA folder, and bootcamp_acr.pbo is also in the a20a/commons folder. Appreciate any help

Edit - RESOLVED -

Uncheck ACR DLC under ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead Properties - DLC
Delete the ACR folder and the acr. files from the COMMONS folder.
Run A2OA, install ACR DLC.
Let it go fullscreen.
Close A2OA and it can be run again without BE and in windowed mode.

Is there any way to make Arma 2 + OA (so combined ops) scale properly for 2560x1440?

Make sure "Interface resolution" and "3D resolution" are both set to your screens resolution (so both at 2560x1440 (100%) ) and "Aspect ratio" is set to 16:9

Anything else may look weird.

In the video options, if you tap the Advanced button, you should see the aspect ratio button. However, if you don't see it for whatever reason, you can do it manually.

Go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles
then go to the folder with your nickname
find the file: yournick.ArmA2OAProfile
edit it with any text editor, notepad, Notepad++, etc.
Scroll to the last lines of the file and look for the following lines:

If you still have poor vision or don't like how the UI looks, you can also correct it manually using the lines below the FOV. You'll see them there; they all begin with ui and the scale is IGUI.

IIRC when i used to start Operation Arrowhead i also had the regular Arma 2 Missions and campaign available, but that does not seem the case any longer, or am i remembering long? its been 5-6 years i believe.. 😓

Also a rather weird issue, sometimes when i save and then try to load it the loadingscreen appears but it doesnt load, its just stuck.

You can copy or symlink the ARMA 2 PBOs from the ADDONS folder to the A2OA COMMON folder. This was what I did with my non-Steam copy. My steam copy shows the A2 mission and campaign in A2OA but the music is not there so I have to copy of music.pbo into A2OA COMMON folder.

Or you can try to make a copy or symlink the A2 ADDONS folder into the A20A folder.

Copy all files from Arma 2\AddOns folder except the three corepatch_a2 files. Paste the copied files to Arma 2 OA\Expansion\AddOns folder. When Windows asks whether to replace duplicate files or not, select "No to all". Now you have both A2 and A2:OA content ingame when you open OA 🙂

Hey everyone, I really need help. I'm trying to play DayZ Mod (Arma 2) on Windows 11, but the game won't launch properly. Every time I try to run it, Windows shows a message saying I don't have permission to access a certain file, and then Battleye fails to start.

I've tried running it as administrator, changing compatibility mode, and even reinstalling Battleye manually, but nothing works. It seems like Battleye is completely broken on Windows 11.

Has anyone here found a solution? Maybe a way to bypass
or a launcher that actually works on Win11? Any help would be appreciated

Hey Arma 2 friends. If I wanted to copy the ingame CTI missions and alter them like Superpowers or War Welcome. What folders do I find these missions in so I can make adjustments/make a new altered copy of said msision?

You need to unpack the missions.pbo and missions_e.pbo archives. The mission files are stored in the \mpscenarios\ subfolder.

use malloc=system as steam parameter to avoid the game from freezing and you should be good to go.

ok, yeah that was quite simple. there's a small confusion on the instruction. I'll fix it. But basically drop the ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead folder inside the zip on to the common folder. So that the BattlEye and Arma2OA_BE.exe go inside the game folder, not the common folder.

Hii - I am trying to get DayzMod working. Some windows patch broke it ages ago. When I try to run the DayZMod, Steam says the DayZMod is launching/running, but after a few seconds it says that ARMA2:OA is running instead, and won't let me join any dayZ servers due to missing files - it never used to do that and I've been running through Steam for years.

I want to try and wipe everything and start again, but I see that wiping all the BattlEye stuff requires finding hidden files and whatnot.

Does anybody know of a procedure to fully wipe DayzMod/Arma/BattlEye and how to reinstall?

In the pbo there is a script
zeu_suppressive_fire.sqf

the script creates an invisible object for the units to fire at, and positions said object on top of the last known enemy position
the units will then suppress it for about 2 minutes or so with the command "engage that position"
the problem is this: the position sometimes appears in the sky, and the units fire at nothing, wasting ammo. This happens especially if their enemy is behind a wall in front of them.

I'm having some trouble with the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead BAF and PMC DLCs that I recently purchased on Steam. Whenever I try to launch the DLCs, I get an error message saying, "Serial number found in registry is not correct." (see link)
I've verified that I own both the base game and the DLC, and I've tried various solutions I found on forums and the internet, including verifying the integrity of the game files, running steam as administrator and reinstalling/launching arma2 and dlcs in correct order, but nothing seems to work.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For the setup, yeah. Seems good. But the freezing (not crashing) might still happen every few hours if you don't run-malloc=system parameter on some systems. I think that's quite important.

Then, there was one more thing that if you suddenly get low FPS you can use the FLUSH command with CTRL + Numpad minus to solve it. But I found out that increasing video memory to very high setting resolved it completely. It's possible that it might be only in our mode tho. Haven't heard of it here.

• Copy all files in Steam\steamapps\common\Arma2\Addons except the corepatch_a2 files
• Paste the files to Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\Addons folder; when Windows asks whether to replace duplicate files, select "No to all"

Then just start OA and see that you have Chernarus and Utes in editor as a sign that the game works in Combined Ops mode now

Just been involved in A2DZE for a long, long time. Origins keys I just needed to run Overpoch on Taviana (1.8.3 for the version that added Sector A). Epoch key is part of the 1.0.7.1 server files distribution available for download here (https://epochmod.com/a2dayzepoch.html). If you are considering Overwatch just for an Overpoch server then the mod is not needed anymore. Almost all Overwatch assets have been a part of DayZ/Epoch since 1.0.7 came out (DZE is still in active development). Exceptions are few, the NYPD car (???) being one of them. Origins keys:

Just came here to express my sadness. Me and a friend have spent the last two evenings after work trying to find a server that can somewhat represent the amazing time we had playing Arma 2 DayZ mods such as Breaking Point, Origins or Epoch.

The communities these days must be a new generation because it's all focuses on base building and vehicular warfare.

Gone are the days of lockboxes in the dirt, camo nets, jerry cans to fill up the UAZ and the racing heart when getting a kill on a ghillie with a lee Enfield

Hey this isn't a huge issue, but it would nice to have it fixed for users in the future if possible. For base Arma 2 it tries to run the installscript.vdf on every start. I looked at the registry and this seems to be because it never makes the officialgamegroup registry key.

It's annoying because it prompts Steam's UAC every time you launch the game and switches you to the community tab in steam. I'm assuming this was some old feature with steam groups because the batch file Arma2_OGG launches this command (explorer.exe "steam://url/GroupSteamIDPage/103582791430500162?action=join")

You can manually fix it by making a dword registry key for it, but this might beyond of the scope of some users.

Not sure if it's worth fixing at since Arma 2 is EoL, but for anyone in the future wondering why steam runs first time setup on every launch, this is why.

Have you followed the setup steps?

How to use:
To use "iniDBI" in your mission, install the extension in your ARMA2 or ARMA3 directory by copying the entire "@inidbi" folder included in the download to your root directory.
Don't forget to copy over over or create the /db/ folder.
It should look like: /Arma 3/@inidbi/iniDB.dll
It should look like: /Arma 3/@inidbi/db/
It should look like: /Arma 3/@inidbi/Addons/inidbi.pbo

Then in your mission init.sqf, somewhere before you want to use the functions do this:
call compile preProcessFile "\inidbi\init.sqf";

Is there any errors in your RPT related to inidb? is there any inidb error logs in the addon folder? @inidbi/logs or something

Having a somewhat unique problem with Geforce Now and Arma 2, looking for help. Geforce Now recently added "Install to play", which means I can now make Nvidia launch Steam and install Arma 2. That part works for fine, but I cannot start the game. On the first try, I get an error box saying "You don't have access rights to install the application" which I think comes from BattlEye. In subsequent tries, Steam says "running installation script.... (official game group)",
but nothing else happens. Is there anybody here that CAN play Arma 2 on GFN? Or has an idea what GFN is doing wrong?

I recall the pre-visual-update A3 looking very very good at distance
now I've seen the option to enable A2 foliage, but I've never tested it since I don't really play A3 nowadays except with my friend

now, for some reason, A1 has a very good contrast between objects and background from my experience, as well as good overall graphics
A2 also looks stunning, maybe even more than A1, but at a first glance they look similar, but A2 certainly is above A1 in terms of graphical quality

Strange... ACR should install automatically with OA iirc. Is it enabled in the DLC section of your Operation Arrowhead´s Steam library entry? And is it enabled in the Expansions section in the game´s main menu?

thanks, because I love the game so much, I decided to do a hard reset of windows 11 24H2 build. Downloaded fresh copy of Arma 2 + OA and copied over the files from the pinned message BEFORE running the first time setup, ensuring it installed that version of battleye and now it everything works. Hopefully this info is useful for someone someday

Nah, afaik, Steam will only give you the one which fits your region (US or Rest). The other is impossible to buy (at least for me). Anyways, used to be the RoW was "delisted" but now it actually at least redirects you to the same game page.

I remember a server from years and years ago that was takistan, and there were two teams that had access to an armory and a bunch of vehicles on timed respawns and it was just general chaos. I cannot remember if there were objectives other than meet in middle and fight.

Warfare has two teams and resistance that controls all of the towns at the beginning. It has buyable vehicles which can be upgraded by the commander when you capture the towns and generate supply.

We use the Everon map on Arma Reforger, the key thing on my server is respect, power, and authority, you can control the towns with that, but everyone wants a piece of the cake so everyone usually meets all around the map with fights or alliances, basically you can mold your experience how you please.

Just search Battlemetrics ARMA 2 server list for Epoch. Not really a separate "Overpoch" now since most Overwatch assets were added to Epoch 1.0.7. Safe to assume all have both roaming (DZAI) and mission based AI (DZMS and Wicked AI).

Unfortunately that’s almost everything we got. Jerry’s site would be the best way to download the old missions because it has the UI, and since my scripts didn’t include .pbo downloads back then, I bet most of the missions are missing from the google drive. It’s just that Jerry will fix his ftp/site when he has time, that’s just how it goes.
