But you can try this: You can actually get an invite by downloading sidekick browser and then run an update and you will get a popup saying that Sidekick is shutting down. I’m really frustrated that not only does the iCloud Passwords extension in Comet Browser (or other Chromium-based browsers) not fully support passkeys, but it also doesn’t appear under the browser’s passkey/authentication settings. This makes it impossible to use the full benefits of passkeys like you can in Safari. Is anyone else running into this or knows of any workaround?

The extension in general not working is a macOS issue afaik. Should be fixed in a future MacOS update once apple pushes one (26 or 15.6.1 etc., 15.6 did not sadly add support for Comet)

I see this less as a macOS fault more of a Perplexity Comet fault. This must have something to do with them, not showing up as Passkey supported browser as well.

that does not look right. This is a permission that browsers can trigger and once you allow that the system lets you use systemwide keychain on that browser.

this invite only lets you download the browser which I already have downloaded, the real problem is the sign up, using a new email. It says the email is not whitelisted. And and when I use my arc.net email which is whitelisted it does successfully recognize that as whitelisted but get stuck here. The code is never received. Probably has something to do with iCloud. Hide my email.

Using the output of a set scheduled podcast creation task in Gemini, I can load up Gemini Live and have it read it back to me or let me interact with the podcast content directly. Pretty next level if I do say so myself. Assistant Live in Comet could do this if they allowed starting the voice mode from existing threads, a feature request that’s been asked and posted here since the mode was added initially. Like a year or more ago. When it was only on the mobile apps.
