I'm trying to install Perplexity Comet on Windows 11, but the installer always freezes at the same point at "Downloading". I’ve tried restarting, reinstalling, disabling antivirus/firewall, and running as admin—nothing works. The progress just stops and never finishes.

Has anyone else run into this? Any tips or workarounds? I’m attaching a screenshot showing exactly where it gets stuck.

I also feel like, even if it maybe borks it, it's worth trying to have /prompt also be a /create command, to combine those to 1 step.

Regarding shortcuts: I could see public shortcuts being a powerful community feature. With in app public top 10/100 shortcut list based on total uses. Maybe a "make public" toggle in the shortcut edit modal. They would then get shared to a "discover shortcuts" menu, where you subscribe to the ones you want to test out. Almost like Steam workshop works for mods? Bonus points if the discovery shortcuts screen shows examples of the shortcut in use, or just shared a thread with it in use.

Yes, there are useful features to adopt.
I was already using “/” in my spaces for command inputs, and pressing “Esc” is enough to bypass the shortcut behavior.
It’s a valuable addition from PPLX and deserves recognition. 👍✨

The goal was to have people share their invite cards. They trained a LoRA to produce the cards specifically, so it's at least a few steps removed from AI Slop in my mind. If anything, a very cool use of AI image generation, letting everyone have their own unique Card with the shared aesthetic.

In fact I'm almost certain it's locally, just hidden. Yes, you can do that. I have already tried it!

You need to expose your browser window to Comet and then turn on the assistant side tab and instruct it to do whatever you want. You can show your N8N screen and ask it to build a workflow, as per your instructions it will open and connect nodes, even configure its parameters and all!

To be honest, a simple view in the product video of Dia, I know it will be eaten by big players like Perplexity. The functionalities are not that great.
