Devs can try to include the model/architecture in the system prompt as is done for Claude. But it’s not 100% unfortunately.

The fear does exist though. Doubt that the selected model is what it claims to be. That being said, ideally the model identifier on the output pulls from the API and doesn’t just fill that spot with the user selected model.

PPLX has been known to route to less used models either via A/B flags or system load. Not sure if that’s still happening.

i am using velja to put rules in for different apps, eg; i've got a rule for News Explorer to open up all links in comet in the background, but when i open the link it brings comet to the foreground, if i change the browser to safari or dia, then it opens in the background fine, weird because dia is also chromium based as well

Unfortunately Comet can’t stay in the background today. Unlike Dia, the current Comet beta still uses the vanilla Chromium launching code, and Chromium simply ignores macOS’s “open in background” request. When Velja (or the open --background / open ‑g command) hands the URL to a Chromium‑based browser, that browser activates itself anyway. The Velja FAQ calls this out as a known Chrome/Chromium limitation and even links to the upstream Chromium bug report.

Dia’s team patched their fork of Chromium to honour the Apple‑event flag that tells the OS not to bring the window to the front, so the same Velja rule works there.
