I just wanted to share my thoughts as a French user who asked Perplexity AI to help me translate and structure my message, and to suggest convincing arguments to the team.

I'm really looking forward to using Comet!
It’s a bit disappointing that, for now, we just get put on a wishlist instead of being able to try it out. As a user, I believe early access shouldn't be limited to those willing to pay extra just to use a beta version of a browser. Here are my thoughts:

Pro-user perspective: The real value comes from building a strong, loyal user community from the start—not just those who can afford to pay more for early access.

Rewarding patience: People who've supported the project from the beginning and have shown genuine interest should be recognized and rewarded, not left waiting while others jump ahead just because they paid.

Beta isn't a luxury: Accessing a beta version is about helping shape the product and providing feedback, not about exclusivity or monetization.

Long-term trust: Prioritizing early supporters builds trust and goodwill, which is far more valuable for the project's future than short-term gains from paid beta access.

I can't wait to see what Comet has to offer, and I hope the team will consider rewarding the patience and enthusiasm of the early community!

I feel like they're going to roll it out pretty fast, everyone. I'm on pro (yearly) and got the invite almost right away. Maybe it's because I've been one of the earliest pro users or whatever. But it right now is most def not just going out to the five lunatics on Max.
OpenAI is going to do something similar and Dia started to open up already too. This is going to be a hot field and they all will want to have users forming habits with their own AI browser as early as possible.

Not in the sidebar. But you can use perplexity's website in a tab in Comet and @-mention any tab in your prompt. there you have the usual interface with model switcher etc.

I use NordVPN. I've noticed that I cannot sign into google accounts with Comet while I'm on VPN. I don't have this issue on other browsers (workaround isn't apocalyptic, just pause vpn then sign in, but still). Anyone know what mechanism that could cause this phenomenon? Figured I'd ask here before submitting a feedback.
(also, this browser is pretty $#$@# amazing. kinda scary actually lol)
