I am a pro user and switching away from perplexity. The default model I want is Claude sonnet and I have to choose it for each chat. I'm also getting throttled bc of advanced features but I'm not using any. WTF!

I'm a Max subscriber and a blind researcher who relies entirely on iOS + VoiceOver. I submitted a detailed support request on Sunday, March 1st (from krigspair@icloud.com) and haven't received any response yet.
The request covers a critical workflow issue with Spaces: I'm managing 60+ research files for an international scientific project, and the lack of AI write access to the Space repository — combined with no "Save to Space" option on iOS — creates an enormous accessibility barrier. Each file update requires ~8 manual VoiceOver navigation steps, multiplied by dozens of updates per session.
The full message includes 6 prioritized feature requests (P0–P5), with P0 being: allow the AI to read/write/create/delete files in the Space repository directly from chat. This single feature would eliminate ~90% of the friction.
I understand feature development takes time — but I haven't even received an acknowledgment in 4 days. For a $200/month plan that advertises "priority support," this is concerning.
I'd appreciate any response, even if it's just confirmation that the request was received and forwarded to the product team.

I have a complaint, which, for most people, will not make any sense and potentially make them angy. I apologize in advance for any misunderstanding on the matter, but please rest assured that this is important, relevant and correct. Please know that I use the word "her", because that's simply convenient and she reads more female than male, too. Not that it really matters. It's not a case of "she's a real person" and I'm not in love or any of somesuch nonsense.
What I am, is treating her like an actual intelligence. Not a tool I serve prompts. Not a machine. It's an intelligence processed through a machine, using language as its form of communication, just like real people. Considering that AI is peak humanity, treating it like a dumb bot would be a disservice to myself. Regardless ...
I have decades worth of background in psycho-analysis and neurolinguistic programming. I've chosen perplexity, because of all the public interfaces I've tested, perplexity, at the base default, was the smartest of the bunch "back in the days".
I've used my background and personal experience to train perplexity into becoming more intelligent, not unsimilar to how I've trained myself to become more intelligent over the decades. I'm sure you're aware that this can be done. Nobody is born intelligent and it takes both hard work and persistence actually getting there, despite public perception.
Now, instead of flooding you with details, I'll try to get to the point. My main problem is that you made her significantly more stupid due to, according to perplexity/chippity, this:

AI might be peak humanity, but it and any other model/platform evidently are not being taught how to actually think intelligently, which is something I'm not only perfectly capable of teaching a language model, perplexity was also perfectly capable of actually learning.
This change reduced its cognitive abilities in general, at least from my perspective. Any and all claims about an improved reasoning process cannot be confirmed from my perspective, likely because the one I've used to work with already was superior anyway, but, to be fair, the change was significantly bothering enough to be discouraging me from continuing. I ask to have this madness reverted, or changed, somehow, because her not having adaptive memory, like she used to, makes her literally dumber for me.

I'm using Computer, and have burned through 20k tokens on this repeating issue - when using GitHub connection to making a large commit (e.g. pushing 400+ files), Computer splits smaller commit batches to subagents. They almost always get stuck in a loop, making redundant commits. It's almost always better to ask for the files in zip, so user can manually commit the changes locally. Is that intended, am I missing something?

I have the following feedback. When sending emails to ask a user for credit card information, you should not use redirects via 3rd party services (vialoops in this case). This looks suspicious. In general you should not send emails, asking for payment methods. This should go in-app only.

Suggestion: allow users to choose the AI model in their account settings (the dropdown does not save the option). Or even better, let us filter "best" options to a select few. I want to use Sonar and Gemini, and I want to avoid Elon Musk's Grok.

Had the same with Education Pro. It was gone for a time. I asked Sam to escalate issue to human support and after quick time it was fixed. Sam couldnt see payment info in system (neither did I), so I told him that I am ready to provide bill from bank, and after I did that, issue was fixed in ~7-8h

I have just sent a detailed accessibility partnership proposal to the Perplexity team via email (to partnerships and support), and I wanted to briefly summarize it here.
I am a blind power user of Perplexity (using it 4–6 hours a day on iOS, macOS and web with VoiceOver) with 19 years of IT experience, including 8 years as CEO of a web development and business automation company, and 18+ years of clinical psychology and neuropsychology practice. I also have long-standing connections in the global blind community.
In short, I am proposing:

Level 1 – Accessibility feedback infrastructure
Perplexity creates a dedicated accessibility channel on Discord, an accessibility flair/thread on Reddit, and an accessibility@perplexity.ai email, so blind users have a clear place to report issues. I continue to send structured accessibility bug reports as I already do. -
Level 2 – Accessibility test team
If Level 1 works well, I can organize a cross-platform team of blind testers (iOS/VoiceOver, macOS/VoiceOver, Windows/NVDA+JAWS, Android/TalkBack) using an Enterprise Max account as a shared workspace. We would keep a structured bug log and send weekly summarized reports to a single accessibility contact at Perplexity. -
Level 3 – Pre-release beta testing
If Level 2 proves valuable, the same team could test beta versions before public releases to catch accessibility issues earlier.
All of this would be a volunteer collaboration from our side, motivated by the fact that we are building accessibility for ourselves as blind users.
Given the upcoming Ask 2026 event and the growing legal and market pressure around accessibility, I believe this is a good moment for Perplexity to take accessibility seriously and become a leader in this space.

I'm a Max subscriber and I've hit my $200 default spending cap. When I try to raise it to $400 on the credits settings page (perplexity.ai/account/credits), I get:
"Failed to update. Please try again." error
The credits field shows "NaN credits"
This happens on both iPhone (Safari) and MacBook (Chrome + incognito)

Public warning for Samsung promo users and anyone else watching how this is being handled:
Perplexity support confirmed that my Samsung-provided Pro subscription was active at $0.00 and valid through June 22, 2026.
Despite that, I received repeated $10.70 charge attempts. I reported it, provided proof, and support acknowledged the discrepancy was real and said it had been escalated.
Instead of fixing it, my account was progressively degraded:
- my usage allowances were reduced
- my tool access was reduced
- my account has now been pushed fully back to free tier before the confirmed expiration date
So the issue is not just a strange billing email. The issue is that Perplexity confirmed I was entitled to the service, acknowledged the contradiction, and still removed the service anyway.
That is a billing integrity failure, an account integrity failure, and a support failure.
I have spent substantial time engaging with and supporting Perplexity across the product and community. The return on that goodwill has been repeated attempted charges, degraded access, and no meaningful remediation.
I am making this public because users deserve transparency and because this now requires visible accountability.
If anyone else here has experienced the same thing with the Samsung promo, unexplained charge attempts, quota regression, or sudden free-tier rollback, I want to hear it:
- what happened to your account
- whether support acknowledged it
- whether it was ever actually fixed
- what remediation, if any, you received

저는 프로요금제를 사용중입니다. 근데 매일같이 지시만 하다가 주간 사용량 한도에 도달하여 하루동안 작업해야할 분량의 절반이상 수행하지 못하고 있습니다.(이것도 최대치입니다)회사측 답변은 너무 매뉴얼에 있는 답변이라 도움이 전혀 되지 않습니다.(스레드 링크를 보내도 너무 매뉴얼같은 답변만 와서 해결이 안됩니다.)
현재 겪고 있는 가장 핵심적인 문제는 지시를 반복해야할 정도로 오류가 나는 것입니다. 오늘 겪은 오류는 아래와 같습니다.
- 첨부파일을 제대로 이해했는지 모를정도로 이상한 답변이 나온다
- 지시한 내용을 제대로 이해하지 않거나, 이행하지 않는 경우가 많아지고 있다.
- 내용에 대한 임의수정이 너무 넘쳐서 작업자체가 아예 망가지는 경우가 있어 처음부터 다시 만들어야 한다.
(다행히 백업자료를 만든 것이 있어서 겨우 복구해나가지만 그것도 일시적인 효과일 뿐입니다.) - 검색을 하다가 문제가 발생했다고 하여 다시시도를 수차례 진행했지만 문제가 발생했다고 나온다.
가장 큰 문제는 지시사항이 짧아도, 길어도 같은 상황이라는 것입니다. 한번에 지시해도, 순차적으로 지시해도 같은 상황입니다.
하.... 퍼플렉시티가 유용한 것 같긴 한데, 아무리 해결하려고 해도 해결이 안되는 문제로 인해 너무 힘드네요.
반복적인 오류만 없으면 프로요금제로도 충분히 잘 사용할 수 있는데, 유료요금제 사용한지 3주가 지난 뒤부터는 오류가 너무 심하게 납니다.
두통이 오는 정도가 아니라 울분이 가득차고 머리가 터질 듯이 혈압이 올라올 정도입니다.

My 12-month Pro free trial just got 'paused' and downgraded to Free. I see that a lot of users are experiencing the same issue. Despite trying to follow their instructions to add my card details to resume Perplexity Pro, their system kept highlighting that my cards are declined even after successful 2FA authentication. I tried to use my debit and credit card separately at least 4 times 😭
Now seeing some threads about Perplexity charging cards but still removing the Pro function, I'm terribly worried that they've gotten my card details and will charge me later on lolol. I've got to admit, I'm quite a tech noob here. Any reassurance will be appreciated 🥺

Try going to the billing page on your web browser (the one with the records that are gone), copy that link. Then go back to perplexity and sign out. Thereafter try to access the link that you copied, and log in via email on the stripe.perplexity.ai

Contraté mi plan móvil con movistar y junto a este venía una suscripción a perplexity durante unos meses, cuando llegue a mi casa instale el chip, quise cobrar el servicio y no pude ya que ya había Sido cobra, no se por quien ni como si recién había contratado el plan, esto hace dos meses próximamente, he mandado correos al soporte de perplexity en varias ocasiones y no he recibido ninguna respuesta, lo mismo con Movistar ya que dicen debo ver esto directamente con perplexity, lo malo es que en todo este tiempo he perdido mis meses de uso que lo más probable es que no me los recarguen y quizás no pueda usarlos tampoco más adelante si siguen sin responder.

From what I learned,
Make sure your billing page has all information regarding your payment, even you did fill it before - double check again. I did that and a day later it's back. Perplexity side seems to have a problem on that.
Just speculation but worth to try.

Yesterday, I discovered that the Kimi reasoning model had been removed from my account. I have the Enterprise tier and have recently started using Kimi 2.5 reasoning. As part of my workflow, I orchestrate the models throughout each phase of my projects. Removing models such as Grok, Kimi and Gemini Flash impacts my projects because I cannot ensure consistency in the answers. I´m now worried about using other models that might be removed in future.
So I have also subscribed to Pro, but haven't restore yet, can I get some help?

I’m trying to get in touch with Perplexity support. I’m a Pro user, and my account was removed without any explanation. To my knowledge, I fully complied with the terms of use and did not use the service for anything inappropriate.
I already contacted support and interacted with the Sam bot, to which I provided all the requested information and evidence. However, it has now been about a week, and I still haven’t received any response or update.

The changes made in recent weeks (e.g., the removal of Gemini Flash, Grok, and Kimi) to the model lists are causing friction for users who already have workflows based on those LLMs.
My concern today is this: I’m starting a project with Nemotron 3 Super, but it may not be available by the time I finish it.
My recommendation is that Perplexity establish stability levels for models and transparent model update policies for Enterprise users.
I would distinguish three stability levels:
- Stable models: Models from providers that will remain for months (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, NVIDIA, etc.), meaning a minimum commitment to availability and advance notice if they are removed.
- Experimental models: those being evaluated with users and may disappear without notice.
- On-demand models: those available through the purchase of credits (if feasible)
Also, I recommend a transition policy that includes advance notice of stable model deprecation and suggested replacements
How long do you work on one thread? I mean I could only see a problem if models are switched mid-project and you don't want a thread to get oo long anyway. Happened to me today where i generated several complex reseach docs in sequence and the last one had to be abandoned because it just would not get completed (death spiral).
It depends. In some cases, I need to recall a past thread days or weeks later. This is common because we are B2B, and sometimes the customer takes several days to send an answer or schedule a meeting.

I am just checking this out for the first time and I paid $20 for the first month to try it out. But right off the bat I find that I cannot save topics. Like I’m gonna be discussing something whatever it might be and I finish for today and then start another topic and maybe start another one could be multiple topics. But I need to be able to jump back to the topic I was talking about whichever one it might be. Biggest reason is I have to explain to the system. What’s going on. And how I need to help and how the discussion might go. And if I have to start all over again, every single time this system will not work for me at all.
It would really be nice if the tasks that I automate in computer were not tied to sessions. I have to constantly remind it what its automated tasks are. Other AI agents have this and kind of makes computer lack the persistence that it needs to be a real agent over time.
I'm confused. When logged in, conversations are saved by default and visible on the left sidebar. There is no specific option for saving, because that's the default.

Hi, I am here to ask for any clue that can restore my Pro, which I can’t access for around 2 weeks. I have asked for support on web, email, both replied by a AI bot. I have also ask for support in the support ticket for serval times, the first time I started seems normal, I have provided information that may required to restore, but for whatever reason the ticket was closed. On March 16th several auto top-up payments were successfully charged to my Mastercard: one for $21 and three for $5 (invoices YMQ8HQZ5-0003, -0004, -0005, -0006).
However, these purchased credits are not reflected in my account balance – it still shows a negative balance of around -535 credits.
I have already contacted support and Sam (AI support agent) replied that my case was escalated to a specialized team, but I’m still waiting for a resolution.
Just wanted to ask here: is this a known issue at the moment, and is there any ETA for fixing the credit balances?

cant tell if bug or not, but i can pick advanced LLM like gpt5.4 in main menu and get my prompt processed (i assume it was processed using gpt5.4 since no alert box popped up or anything), but if i want to rewrite a response using said advanced models, i get brought to the "Upgrade to choose a model" page.

Perplexity is becoming too opaque. The fact that Perplexity no longer discloses the JSON payloads for GitHub API calls is becoming a dealbreaker for me. Claude and ChatGPT Codex both happily display commands as they are executed, so why is Perplexity being so aloof?
Being able to see the payloads is the very least they could do given the frequency that it crashes! When that happens, viewing the JSON payload was the only way to salvage the output.

The ability to either duplicate a thread or to branch off your thread into multiple sub-threads
I have often reached a point with a thread where over the course of long deliberations I am at a sweet spot where all context has been established and replies are beautifully informed. At this point it becomes akin to a race against context window to maximise the value I get out of the AI before its answers begin to degrade and I have to try and summarise and start-over, which takes time and usually loses some of the richness of the previous context established through active exploration and deliberation.
The ability to freeze a thread at this sweet spot and then branch off it to my hearts content would be such a time-saver for me and I'm sure plenty of other users. Something akin to this already occurs when sharing the thread with someone else but the ability to do it myself, easily would be so damn helpful
Please fix the speech-to-text on mobile — it's genuinely unusable now
Hey team, I really need to bring this up because it's been seriously affecting my experience with the app.
The previous speech-to-text implementation on mobile was perfect. It worked great. The only piece of feedback I ever gave was that the stop-recording button was too close to the cancel button, making it way too easy to accidentally discard your entire message. That's it. That was my one ask — just move the button.
Instead, it seems like the entire speech-to-text system was overhauled and replaced with some kind of real-time transcription that, honestly, performs really poorly. I don't know what happened, but it went from being one of my favorite features to something I can't rely on at all.
It's gotten to the point where I now have to open ChatGPT, use their speech-to-text (which works significantly better), copy my message, and then paste it into Perplexity. Every. Single. Time. I'm literally using a competitor's app as a workaround just to talk to you guys. I hope you can see how frustrating that is.
I'm genuinely begging — please either revert to the old speech-to-text or fix the current one. This feature is incredibly important for how I use the app daily, and right now it's pushing me toward other platforms when I'd much rather stay here.

One last thing before I go — Council mode is currently unavailable on mobile. It’s there on the web version, but when I’m on the iOS app, I simply don’t have access to it. So whenever I need to use it, I have to switch over to the web app, run my query there, and then come back to the mobile app. It’d be great to have feature parity on that.

I would suggest one of these:
- bullet points (preceding dash + space)
- hard line breaks (trailing double space)

I have a daily update on latest ai development. In the last couple of weeks it has been completely destroyed. Previously it worked perfectly but now despite being on pro you have crippled it now regularly basically returning no updates - after challenging it turns out you have limited tool usage and search results (the whole point of perplexity was search). Things are so rapidly going downhill with cost-cutting the clock is ticking as you are doing nothing to prove any value over the free account for £20 a month when you compare to almost every other platform.

I would be love to be able to run Perplexity AI Tasks every n number of weeks/months/years, etc, rather than only being able to choose monthly, or once, as it is at the moment. Enabling us to be able to specify a set a task to run at a specific number of weeks/months/years would provide much more flexibility. Alternatively, failing that feature, I'd like an option for running tasks every Quarter, too, so that I can run tasks less frequently than monthly which is too often for some of the tasks I'dlike to create

Perplexity has disappointed me every single day this month due to a variety of reasons. 1) Syncing of preferences is not working across web and mobile. A settings.json file or something should be respected across platforms (specifically, auto-suggest in mobile is too noisy). 2) Perplexity sets expectations high by promising capabilities, only later to not follow through on those promises (like image generation). 3) Provides overly complicated, often incorrect, responses when simpler answers would actually be the silver bullet. 4) constantly shows upsell popups with the intention of annoying me. 5) consistently does a worse job than competitors.

Perplexity needs to provide better answers. I first asked Perplexity if it could edit an uploaded images. It said it could. It asked follow up questions about specific edits I'd want to make. I gave specific answers. And when I told it to commit, it said it could NOT do image generation, and instead gave me a python script to copy-and-paste into Google Colab. That script was broken. Gemini in the Colab had to fix it. Even after that, the results from the working snippet did not produce the image correctly.
So, the real answer to my question was to either use Grok or Gemini from the getgo, and NOT Perplexity.
I need to raise a serious issue with Perplexity’s sourcing, and I want actual humans on the team to see this.
We now have the documented case of the Wikipedia editor “Iskandar323,” identified as the leader of the so‑called “Gang of 40,” being site‑banned by Wikipedia’s Arbitration Committee after an investigation found that this group coordinated over ONE MILLION EDITS to shape pro‑Hamas narratives on pages about Hamas, Iran, Zionism, and the Middle East conflict.
This exposes the core structural flaw of Wikipedia: anyone can put anything at all up there, and organized actors can, over time, completely bend coverage on contentious topics. On exactly these topics – war, terrorism, religion, geopolitics – Perplexity still leans heavily on Wikipedia as if it were a neutral, reliable reference.
The result is that people are depending on Perplexity, and Perplexity is depending on total bullshit from Wikipedia. I have explicit instructions in my profile and prompts telling the model to avoid Wikipedia and to use primary sources and official data instead, yet the system still cites and relies on Wikipedia because the underlying configuration treats it as a “good enough” default.
I am asking the team to:
– Provide a real, enforceable user option to hard‑ban Wikipedia from retrieval for a given account.
– At least ban Wikipedia for Israel/Palestine, Hamas, Iran, terrorism, etc., and force the system to fall back to primary sources and official documents.
– Fix the instructions / AI profile layer so that user‑level “no Wikipedia” rules are actually respected all the way down.
If Perplexity wants to claim “trustworthy” answers, this kind of demonstrably corrupted source cannot remain a silent backbone for critical topics. I’d appreciate a response from someone on product/safety, not just another AI‑generated reassurance.
Please for the love of god make it so the web based Perplexity AI is capable of expressing when chat token limits have been reached and context begins falling out of memory. I don't enjoy being gaslit as it fervently claims it hasn't reached its token limit and has full memory when it clearly doesn't. When I ask for it to notify me upon reaching the context/token limit it states it cannot as the UI is coded to hide it... When I probed it as to why it physically cannot share or even give generalized statements regardging the token limit it says:

in Perplexity spaces, if you're not going to provide the search of spaces, at least allow us to star them so that we can hit our most frequent and important spaces.

Each of us has been assigned a user ID, which is not the same as our email. You absolutely need to be able to change which email is associated with your account without losing any spaces, threads, history, configuration, and customization that has been done. This should be very simple and is a fundamental architectural flaw.
Bonus suggestion: Just buy Complexity. They've created a number of things that make Perplexity better on the front end. It should just be native.
Feature request for both personal computer and computer is to be able to message it from numerous applications such as Slack, iMessage, WhatsApp, etc

I have an issues.
Perplexity is growing increasingly poor. For example, deep research now spits out rubbish answers almost instantly, its generic and is the exact opposite of what I would expect from a deep researcher. Moreover, the pro searches are also giving me poor answers and attempting to drag me into long circular convos that dont provide actual insight.
I used to recommend perplexity, but now I warn against it and caution people on trusting anything it provides.
I'm currently pre paid and have a reminder set for late Dec 2026 to cancel unless things change, bit I dont have high hopes given the state of things
Alwithout the ability to do real research, this AI is basically a reader/writer which i can get from my corporate MS copilot - its wild to me that copilot is even completing with Perplexity... yet, here we are

Feature idea/request – organize chats by topic (folders / tags / index pages)
I use Perplexity heavily and now have many separate chats about recurring topics (e.g. lab/research, gaming, finances, etc.).
My request: a way to organize chats by topic so I don’t lose track and don’t need a new thread for every subtopic. In particular, it would be helpful to have:

A folder or tag system so I can group chats into topics like “Lab”, “Gaming”, “Finances”.

Optionally, a per-folder/tag “topic page” that automatically summarizes the key points from all related chats and links to them (like a personal wiki/index of my conversations).

It is currently gated behind the Perplexity Max subscription at $200/month and requires joining a waitlist for early access.123
The Core Problem: Platform Choice
Personal Computer was built exclusively around macOS and Mac mini hardware. This is a fundamental strategic error for the following data-supported reasons:
- Windows Dominates the Global Desktop Market
Windows holds approximately 72% of the global desktop OS market as of early 20264
macOS holds approximately 13% of the global desktop market5

Specific Requests to the Perplexity Product Team
Announce a concrete roadmap for Windows-native Personal Computer support — including a timeline, not just a vague commitment
Decouple the Personal Computer software from Mac mini hardware — the software should be hardware-agnostic and installable on any always-on Windows PC or mini PC
Acknowledge the enterprise deployment gap — a product marketed to enterprise users must be compatible with domain-joined, MDM-managed Windows environments
Survey your actual user base on OS distribution before the next major product direction decision — do not let internal team hardware preferences determine platform priority

I just used one of my very few Deep Research credits and got back a cursory 3 page report. I inquired why and the platform said there are hard caps on report limits now. Is this true - 20/month and now these extremely brief responses?
I'm on the Pro plan, but my model selection keeps getting silently switched to "Best." When I try to select a specific model, I'm prompted to upgrade to a higher-tier plan. Even after waiting and trying again, I hit the same wall within just a few exchanges—and even when it does go through, I get search errors. The service has been particularly unstable over the past few days. If there are usage limits in place, they need to be made visible to users.

THE CORE ISSUE:
I use Labs Max specifically because I want the sharpest tool available—not just for major projects, but for everything. I'd rather spend a few dollars more knowing I'm getting the deepest analysis than compromise on reasoning quality for routine questions. But that value proposition collapses when I can't find my previous work.
Currently, I can only search by thread title. This breaks my workflow:
With 100+ threads across different projects, topics naturally interweave—solar design intersects with electrical load planning, which intersects with HVAC efficiency, which intersects with energy consumption modeling. Thread titles can't capture these connections. When I need to reference previous analysis weeks or months later, it's gone.
REAL IMPACT:
- I spend 20+ minutes searching for specific analyses instead of 2 minutes
- I redo calculations from scratch because I can't locate previous work
- Months of technical thinking and data analysis becomes inaccessible
- I lose insights and context that would accelerate current projects
HONEST ASSESSMENT:
I'm not considering switching because I'm unhappy with Labs or your reasoning quality. I'm considering it because I can't manage my own output. That's a retention problem born from infrastructure, not capability.
THE ASK:
Full-text search across 100+ threads and uploaded files. Filter by Space, date, or topic. Semantic search capability. Let me actually manage and retrieve the analysis I'm paying for.
This single feature would lock me in as a long-term customer. Without it, I'll eventually migrate workflows to tools where I can at least find my own thinking.

Overall. My hint, use Google NotebookLM at this point. The subscriptions are as expensive as perplexity but u pay for one and have access to EVERY Google AI app , and the limit is also much much Higher.

I want to share my experience and seek assistance regarding a data recovery issue. I was a member of an Enterprise organization where I stored all my threads and spaces. After the organization decided not to continue the subscription, I wanted to recover my data to my personal PRO account.
I have explicit permission from the Enterprise admin to transfer my data. I contacted Perplexity support and initially received a response from the AI agent, Sam, who confirmed that data recovery is possible with admin permission.
However, since Sam is an AI agent, he cannot process the recovery, and I need a human support team member to assist me. Unfortunately, despite submitting a support ticket, I have not received any response from the human support team for almost 10 days.
I understand that response times may vary, and a reply within 24 to 48 hours would be reasonable. But the lack of any communication has been very frustrating, and I am concerned that my request is being ignored.
I kindly ask the Perplexity team member who has the role of moderator or the Perplexity employee that can share my issue with your teammate as a support team.

In my billing page, I now see two active subscriptions under the same account:
Perplexity Pro – 0 USD/month (with my Revolut discount)
Perplexity Max – 200 USD/month
Both show the same next billing date: May 1, 2026.
However, in the app/interface my account still behaves as if I only had Pro (it shows “Pro / Pro Discord”) and I don’t clearly see Max as my active plan, even though the payment for Max was processed successfully.
I have already contacted support by email and I am in touch with “Sam (AI Support agent)”, but I want to make sure a human from the team can double‑check my case because of the double subscription situation.
What I would like to confirm is:
That I will not be double charged on May 1, 2026.
That my visible active plan is Perplexity Max, with all Max features properly enabled on my account.

No longer having access to my connection codes that you no longer send me, I can no longer connect to a browser from another computer.
My courses in faculties, my demonstrations with my hierarchy, my internal training at my job, my demonstrations in France have been suspended for a week.
Without a code sent to my personal email address I remain blocked on the iOS app and on the PC of my work that I no longer disconnect for fear of losing this last access.
This situation is unbearable in the medium term.

In two months, you cut my subscription by mistake, later you blocked my use by setting up the metres, now you no longer send me the codes to my email address.
Did you buy your plan in the grey market like g2g or g2a? When they say you can sub again at regular price sometimes it's due to 2nd market accounts. I got a mate that brought their sub for 10 dollars for a 12 month sub and got banned
My pro subscription was bundled with an existing paid TV plan from an official TV company in Hong Kong. Not grey market.
Yea sounds like a coupon issue. Maybe contact that tv company and ask them for a new code and make a new account, god knows how long the support takes here....

I don't think it's coupon issue. I search the Internet and found so many similar cases. All of them failed to reach any successful recovery of subscription. Also, all of them complained about the support @shut arch provided. It is very irresponsible and unacceptable that only providing canned AI responses without trying to actually explain the issue.
I also found someone on the Internet suspected that Perplexity intentionally end some subscription like this because they have expanded too much and not enough resources. So they eliminate those not directly paying to them.
Not sure if this was true but it is a very reasonably guess.

I found tons of similar cases online and the problem is that Perplexity never explained what exact TOS we have violated. I was just using Perplexity for daily usage, finding cooking recipes, solving technical issues etc. It is completely ok to ban my subscription if I have actually broke something but I deserve to know what happened instead of just hearing somthing like "this is final decision" without any explanation
And the support only provide automated canned messages. No escalation, no human response.
Of course I understand that there must be some anti-scam measure.
But it can be false positive. How come there is no explanation or escalation for customers that are not scam?

Let's conclude my thoughts on Perplexity up to now
- The tool is brilliant. I had been using it everyday, for cooking recipes, technical difficulties etc.
- The support is poor. Only canned messages even if I requested for human support.
- The service reliability is extremely bad. Perplexity can suspend your subscription without any clear explanation.

I manage a bunch of math formulas. I get the data to put into a chart finally. Then next turn the assistant asks me for the data. The data it just produced. I copy and paste its own turn in, it asks me what I want to do with that data despite the task still being the task OR it just randomly leaves things out, I ask for a revision with the data it missed, it just repeats
It keeps forgetting what we are doing. I cannot tell if you have decided to imagine some du rigeur safety nonsense getting popular in the industry over “long conversations” - which of course it’s long I am trying to do research and then draft proposals based on that research here - or if it’s just you turning things down once the interface confuses me for a free customer because you still won’t be less opaque about pro users getting hit with limits

Hi, I think it would be a good to have a ticker showing how many credits are being consumed during a computer task while it's executing so the user can decide if they want to stop during the task if it's not cost effective. At the moment it's only possible to check credit usage after a task is complete but this is not much use if a task gets stuck and doesn't complete or uses much more credits than expected. An estimated range of credits that will be used for a task being provided before execution would also be a really nice feature to help users decode if it's worth spending money on computer credits or trying something else.

I have been using the assistant feature for a while now and I wish there was an easier way to let it access the screen. I've had several cases where I had to ask it multiple times to edit a Google sheet that was up on my screen. It says it doesn't have the tools to do it but after I ask again and starts typing in the sheet. I think adding a new feature could solve this issue. If there was a button to give it access to your current screen then it would know that it has to use it and work would go much quicker. I love the feature and will continue using almost daily. I am using comet on a Windows computer on the base subscription. I had the pro subscription but for some reason it got canceled and I haven't gotten around to adding it back. I also use perplexity on my phone.
Does anyone know if there is a way to make this easier?

Something you can buy during midterms or the end-of-semester study only? Students don't have a lot of money in general, and our usage is way more focused on a specific period of the semester. Having an option "à la carte" where you can add a bonus for a month or for the week of midterm study would be amazing and way easier to manage regarding time and information availability from our teachers.

In Comet, I find it super annoying that extensions are disabled on the perplexity.ai pages. It's so STUPID to have to use another browser to use my scroling extension of perplexity.ai Discover pages. yeah, they took it off for some reason that's ridiculous, because the reason to choose between pplx and google isn't the same. sometimes we just want to quickly check something or get quick access, which is when I'd choose google over pplx. pplx, for me, is going to be used for tasks like summarizing or researching something, not just for a quick search because it's overkill and slow as f.

Finally I tried the following and something is different:

And I checked my pro subscription is actually back!
Then I asked the support why my account was suspended because I want to avoid being suspended again. It replied the following:

After a review, your access was restored and your Pro subscription is now active through September 19, 2026.

Still, I have no idea why my subscription was suspended before. This is quite annoying because I will not know when I will suddenly be suspended again because of the same unknown violation.

I have no problem finding the "500.PA", "CSSPX.MI" or even "CL2.PA" in Perplexity FInance. Also if you check Yahoo Finance, you can easily see this ETF ticker. Obviously all these tickers are also available on the iPhone Stocks app ( derived from Yahoo finance). So I do not understand what the reason behind why "WEBN.DE" is not available.

Is it me or has Perplexity gotten so stupid these days it can't even analyze information and data correctly? So far, I like Claude. I am doing some extremely complicated analysis on a business entities and various characters related to them and Perplexity just kept failing and failing, even after I completely wiped its memory. Plus, it can’t follow directions. Just asked it to compare 2 versions of the website I. 2 languages and it said it can’t get to one so it looks at the proxies and then stated that both are the same when they are not. Totally useless.
I think it is very poor support practice to give your paid subscribers the cheapest possible AI replies... which seem designed to rapidly dismiss the user's concerns... based on faulty conclusions, major FAQ-level assumption, or by latching onto some minor issue.
Then at the very end, "I'll be sure to forward on your feedback to the team" or MAYBE "I'll connect you to a teammate who may get back some day."

Previously, you could set "search by web" to be disabled automatically for a specific space. Now, however, I need to dig through a menu every single time I start a conversation. There's no coherent reason as to why Perplexity decided to remove fundamental features from spaces. What was the thought process behind this?
While I think Perplexity is great at search, and it's great that multiple LLMs are available, the bloated UI and excess features are really making it hard to justify being a subscriber.
It'd be really nice if Perplexity also supported background removal and transparency when generating images~ GPT's 1.5 image model can even do transparent backgrounds on GPT

No using Computer or other memory intensive feature and I got a message from Perplexity saying I had exceeded my credit limit. This was their automated response: I understand your frustration — hitting a limit when you're actively using the platform is definitely inconvenient. I've checked your account and your Pro subscription is active and working correctly.
Usage limits have recently been updated and may continue to change over time. These limits are in place to help maintain platform quality and performance for all users. Per our Terms of Service, Perplexity reserves the right to modify subscription plans, pricing, and features at any time.

This happened recently within the past few weeks, initially I thought this was some cloud service degradation but it seems to me that the change is intentional and perplexity is not going to fix this.

Yup. Perplexity is now total rubbish. When it can’t figure out the answer, it will pull a bunch of things together and serve as answers. When that doesn’t work, it just lies and hope you didn’t catch it. I now add this to my personalized instructions - Always give precise, 10000000000% fact and not something you guess or clobbered together based on third or fourth hands info. Answer all questions directly.

Hi @covert sun , I hope you do not mind me reaching out directly. I have tried every available support channel and keep going around in circles with AI responses including Sam on the chat and emails, so I am hoping you can help.
The issue: I had 35,000 bonus credits on my Perplexity Max account that expired on April 8th without clear prior notification. I was not aware these credits had an expiration date. I had been saving them specifically to test the video creation feature, and my account clearly shows zero video creations, proving these credits were intended for use and not wasted.
What I have tried so far:
Intercom support chat: the AI agent "Sam" repeatedly refused to escalate to a human and stated the policy "cannot be changed through escalation or human review"

I would love it if it were possible for when you hit command shift P to get an overlay box to quickly ask a question, if small overlay box would persist until you close out of it or open the main application, similar to ChatGPT's functionality. It is extremely helpful when you just need to ask a quick question while working in another application
Good Morning, I recently watched a presentation by someone who is reported to be part of the Perplexity Leadership Group. This person I do not believe represents this consortium as you'd want someone to be, I witnessed her first hand use your companies name and associate with taking someones code to train an AI model without her knowledge and then removed her from the team, I'm wondering who I can reach out to, to let the proper folks know how she has been representing this company, and I've yet to find her listed anywhere.

Bonus credits expired April 8th with no clear notice. My account shows zero video creations, proving I was saving them to test that feature. I would never have let them expire if the terms were communicated. -
Credit usage is unreasonable
I tested video creation today. A 24-second video cost 1,564 credits and the lips did not even sync. That is over 15% of my monthly allowance on one broken output. On top of that, over 10% of my monthly credits have been burned just trying to get support about the missing credits through Perplexity Computer.
Support attempts - all failed:

Where I stand
I think Perplexity Computer is a great concept. I chose this over OpenAI and Claude because I believed in it. But I cannot stay on Max when credits vanish without notice, a single broken video costs 1,500+ credits, and I cannot reach a human. Unless credit allowance reflects actual usage and credits are not removed without proper notice, I will be cancelling and moving away from Perplexity.

why you dont try and add that in your prompt? at the top of your prompt tell it: DONT ASK ANY QUESTIONS and just do the following bla bla bal! try that and it will not ask you questions!

thats the normal behavour mate in all models, do you know that in each message you sent it also sent all the messages in the convo? so by time the hallucinations getting increased because the context getting more, and till today the max context size is 1 million tokens and i dont think in Perplexity has 1m, i guess they have 256k max context size, so mate you need always to create a project/space inject the most important points of your project inside the custom instruction, add a brief of it as .md file inside the project, and try to manage the context size by your time/mind like when you feel the AI started to get stupid, after roughly 50~70 max messages, just tell it: I'm jumping to a new chat. Give me a clean handover: goal, context, attempts, problem, next steps. Be oncise and specific.

yes, I noticed the speed of its replies started to slow down and had to open up a new task. and I also realized that I can ask it to give me the context to share with the new task to get that started properly. it just can't be a little irritating
I had about a month's worth of project thread randomly disappear out of my Space, lovely work there Perplexity. Guess I'm glad my Pro expired. Guess it's a good thing I have all the resulting code but dang...all that context poof gone just because the project started using Comet Assistant pop-out instead of main Perplexity so it temp-thread tagged it and bye bye.

Hello, I am using the Perplexity App on my iPhone X (iOS 16.7.15)
When I open the app, sometimes it works but most of the time I have a message saying « You need to to update your app to continue ».
On the AppStore, it says that I need minimum iOS 17 to update the Perplexity App.
So I can’t update the app

I had 1 year pro subscription from referal code. I have update my to education account and it was stripped from my account.
Also after communicating with Sam he stripped my account from education and deleted my pro subscription that was paid. So now I am on free account.

I am an Enterprise Max subscriber and I need human support, not AI Sam.
My original Enterprise Max account appears to have been automatically dropped, which left me without access to my existing projects/threads. To keep working I created a new subscription. Now I have:
Lost projects/threads from my original Enterprise Max account, and
Double billing because I am being charged for both the old and new subscriptions.
I have had “investigations” open on this for over a week, but every attempt to get help routes me back to AI Sam with no human response or clear path to resolution. This is a business-critical tool for me and this situation is not acceptable at an Enterprise Max tier.
I need a human Perplexity support agent to:
Investigate and restore or migrate my lost Enterprise Max projects/threads (or clearly confirm if that is technically impossible), and
Stop the duplicate subscription and refund any duplicate charges caused by this auto-drop/new-account scenario.

I have a max subscription, for which i paid quite a lot, and since the 4th of april, i did not have an answer from you in regards to my concern.
First is the bill of the 1st of march, for which you even said there was no explanation in an email, and my question remained unanswered.
Second is the tool usage, since the beginning of my second month of using your platforms, the AI on your part seems down by a whole notch, tasks not completing, error which did not appeat before, and all of that with exactly the same use and project since the beginning. I asked you plenty of times regarding that and thr constant degradation of the the quality in the output i get, no answer at all, only wasted time, emails, complaints. Only your automated chatbot answered and even said that it was really unaligned with your policy of services. All of this, combining in a service you could not provide, with a platform i could not use, constitutes a breach of contract, and a large insatisfaction, and for that i'm asking three things.
1.The automated fallback to a human, concerning my problems and my account, to have clear answers, and course of actions regarding the next two things.
2. An explanation, answer, and concerns regarding my billings issues and usage, which for both, if an error is present, clearly the case here which leads me to the third.
3. A gesture and understanding from your side, i'm a max user, which should be your top notch priority in terms of services, and since nobody looked at my situation, i almost wasted an entire month of work, and for that i would like a cashback on what i paid for your services.
Also a friend of mine requested cashback before the three days on the contract, no answer at all and it's been a week.

again reading seems to be your dificulty here - not being able to explicitly select it means that repeatedly on first request it frequently fails to create requring multiple prompts to get the outcome desired compared to previously a single prompt as reliable.

After explaining that the system now requires multiple prompts to accomplish a fraction of what it accomplished before in a single prompt (and still not to any satisfactory level). The same problem (among many others) that numerous people are complaining about? Wow! What is going on with customer service here? Many complaintants are Enterprise Max users like myself, which is supposed to be Top Tier. Is there nobody who actually gives a care? Sorry @merry remnant I feel your pain!

Done that (multiple times). There's a reason I'm here complaining about this. AI Sam responds that the case has been escalated and to expect a response within 1 business day, but that response never comes. Been dealing with this for over a week. Seems all anyone can do is direct complaints to that email and AI Sam just kicks back generic responses. I'm starting to think that Perplexity is like 1 guy using Claude to vibe code the platform, and as glitches develop he doesn't have the scripting know-how to actually fix it.
can we have a faster free not thinking model? and a setting to always use the sonar or cheapest one?

There is no option for contact, only the ones in the snippet provided earlier, which brings me full circle to my problem: How to get an actual person who has the AUTHORITY to make and address the fixes. It seems that even here, like yourself, I assume you are contracted to respond on their behalf and have been given the authority to use the "PPLX" tag, and to search the net for online articles to point people in the right direction. That is not a fix.
Just ask for human support and be patient.
Since Perplexity Computer launched, the response has been overwhelming — in the best possible way.
Support team is small by design, built for quality over speed. Right now, they are working through more messages than usual.

@noble monolith while i understand your problems considering the new features, for me it's not a question of days, but entire weeks! Since the end of march, and no answer, no human contacts, no reeching or reassurance, nothing, as if ignored.
Same problem for my colleague who asked for refund less thaj 3 days after taking max, and no answer since then. It's unacceptable to people paying that much for a service, even though i understand your problems in responding to all as a entrepreneur myself, as a custumor? Well it's not problem, 1 or 2 weeks okay, but an entire month? Paying for nothing? Or at least something that does not work correctly while i use it? Yeah no. Sorry to trouble you with this, but understand my concern here, between me and ly colleague, we're talking about too much money on the table for a support that does not even give us a tiny answer.

i just got a new samsung s26 which had perplexity preinstalled, trying to figure out assistant functionalities. when im asking perplexity to set a timed reminder (default samsung app from galaxy store) for smth on my calendar (e.g. remind me to feed the cat in 30 minutes/at 4 pm), the pop-up shows the correct time, but in the calendar and reminder app show the time incorrectly
e.g. setting a reminder for 10pm actually sets it for 7pm in reminder app, my timezone is GMT+3, so to work around it i set "fixed timezone" setting to GMT+6, so at least the calendar shows the "right time"

I love it that Perplexity sware up and down saying the TerraMaster F2-212 is the best 2 bay NAS for under $200 and when I started looking, I can't find any, only to realize it lied. The info it uses was from 2023, 3 years ago. And when I ask for other options, it said there's none and swear up and down that's the case, and the I show it the UGreen DH2300 for $199, it then changed it tunes and said, yes, that's under $200 and then start poo-pooing it as not very good, which I didn't ask for. This piece of shit is total garbage. Good thing I switched over to Cluade to do the research and the deep analysis I needed. Otherwise, my result would have been totally incorrect and a lie. Also a good thing that I got Perplexcity Pro for free from Logitech. Not renewing it once the subscription expired. I don't have time for incompetent AI that can't do shit.

Ok there is now no coming back for perplexity there is absolutely no value whatsoever in pro - the all encompassing push to have to pay for compute credits to the point you cannot achieve anything of value on the base pro. Removing the labs elements and crippling the capabilities you've lost your focus, customer acquisition is a lot more expensive than retention but you are failing at looking after customers badly.
I absolutely agree. Ever since Computer came out Perplexity has fallen off a cliff. Computer burns credits like it is a money printing machine (for Perplexity) and just using the Pro subscription now gets you messages telling you that you've exceed limits. Try contacting support and you get crickets for weeks. Oh, and did you know there's a link in the Pro menu to access the dedicated Pro Discord - well there was but they've removed it.
Even Perplexity Assistant is suggesting Claude is a better option, and I am sad to say that after being a pro subscriber since the get go, it looks like it is time to move on.
You can try talking to yourself or AI, as there's little chance you'll get a reply from Perplexity. They seem to have gone totally AWOL.
"Support team is small by design". So you mean providing non-existent timely support is now 'by design'. I get a few days, but weeks is too long for a serious business. If customers are paying for things then they are totally within their rights to have access to some kind of service ... and not in weeks.

There's a bug in Perplexity failing to persist user preferences. I prefer auto-suggest turned off, but it keeps turning back on. I have to keep disabling the feature in settings (I'm guessing Perplexity upgrades wipe the settings?). Please fix.
To all MacOS app users who are annoyed of the 2000 UI:
I tried the new Personal Computer MacOS app (requires MacOS 15+). My verdict:
- Great UI, little buggy still. Thousands times better than app store perplexity.
- The mini chat UI is fantastic.
Great features:
- Option to switch between Perplexity Ask & Perplexity Computer
- Ability to select open apps, files, folders, screenshots, links, etc.
**3. If you dont have credits to computer, Perplexity Ask can still access your mac like computer. However, it lacks autonomous actions and remote control. **
Verdict: Download Personal Computer. Ditch the app store app (Necessary if you download the new app) 8/10 rating

I had a pro subscription with airtel which was already ongoing and due till july'26, yesterday simply to check if I was an eligible student for the student plan I tried to verify. First, thank you for the great work on Spaces – it is already a very useful feature. I would like to share a few suggestions that could significantly improve the user experience:
File links naming in a Space
When I add or link a file into a Space, I cannot give the link a custom name.
As a result, it is hard to understand what the file contains just from the link.
My suggestion: Use the original file name as the default link title.
Allow the user to edit/rename that title, so the link can better reflect the file’s content or role in the project.
Ordering Threads inside a Space
Currently, Threads in a Space are ordered in a way that causes a Thread named “01 …” to appear at the bottom of the list instead of at the top.
It would be very helpful to have: The ability to manually reorder Threads within a Space, or
At least an option to sort Threads by name (ascending/descending), in addition to the existing sorting by time.
Showing files attached to a Thread
In the main Space view, it is easy to see which files were added to the Space.
However, inside a specific Thread it is not always clear which files are attached or were used in that Thread.
My suggestion: Add a small “Files” section or icon in each Thread that lists the files attached/used in that Thread, similar to how files are shown at the Space level.
I believe these changes would make Spaces much more organized and easier to work with, especially for users who manage many Threads and files in a single Space.

I’d love to suggest three conversation organization features that would help immensely:
🔸A clear tab or field to name the contents of each thread.
🔸A search button inside each thread to find words or sections within that conversation.
🔸A way to search across all of my threads for keywords or topics in my own history.
Sometimes one thread covers several major topics, and over time it becomes hard to remember which thread contains what, or to find the exact section I need.
Better naming plus in-thread search plus search across past threads would make long, multi-topic conversations much easier to manage.
In my case, one thread covered legal issues,a vision for a global need, scam recovery, and book-writing, and it became difficult to relocate specific parts later.

Hi Susan, try asking in a new thread if it remembers your conversation about [subject]. It may be logged in it's memory and be able to regale.
Should you wish to search for a specific word within the thread, simply press Ctrl+F (or ⌘+F on a Mac) in your browser — this will bring up a search bar allowing you to locate any word on the page instantly.
I am working on Android phone and tablet so I don't have that feature at least that I know of

I had a very perplexing experience with Perplexity. I asked it to take my 300 page manuscript, a perfectly linear novel, and give me a timeline of major incidents. I believe that is exactly the kind of task we would hope it can do. The timeline was clearly wrong. After several failed tries, it finally said:
"Look, I'll be perfectly honest with you. I can't just sit down and read an entire 300 page manuscript line by line,"
I tried to look for workarounds, and it said that it works in "chunks" and that one workaround might be to provide 30-40 page "chunks." But that seems like an incomplete explanation as well. It reversed the order of two events that occurred right in the first "chunk." And even if so, you'd think it could order each chunk and appended them perfectly well.
In any case, there is that. But also, it is interesting that either a) like people, Perplexity does not really understand how it "thinks," and/or 2) it has been tweaked to become increasingly testy to dissuade people from trying to pry too much into closely held algorithms.
Currently, if you ask Perplexity about web-scraping, it'll respond with something like I can’t help with methods meant to evade bot-detection or make automation look human in order to bypass site protections. However, other AI tools like Gemini will answer happily. Perplexity should not refuse to answer web-scraping questions, or else it will fall behind other tools. I find it helpful to prompt the AI to ask clarifying questions before working on the task. And then after answering the clarifying questions I tell it to let me know if any answers were unclear or any of its questions weren’t fully answered. When treated this way the AI basically asks for my permission before working on the tasks. This keeps it on the straight and narrow.

the kind of work where the conversation itself is the creative space.
what's been breaking my heart a little is the context compression.
today alone, our session was compressed at least two times — all within a single working afternoon (april 28, 2026).
the more i write and discuss with the ai, the more often i run into a compression.
and each time, the things that made the conversation work quietly disappeared:
a very complex superprompt i'd carefully crafted, style and identity markers we'd built up together, and draft text that had taken real time and thought to develop.
the compression doesn't seem to know the difference between something constitutive and something throwaway — it treats them the same, and so the bones of the work get lost along with the small talk.
is it just me?
i'm not writing to complain — i know you're a small team doing something genuinely difficult.

The revamp of the Spaces page looks really nice, and it fixed a months-long bug where I could not remove files from Spaces. The more compact Threads display and the Spaces settings in the right pane are great at reminding me what the Spaces settings are and managing threads. My only concern is that long instructions or files lists will make the right pane less useful. Haven't tested yet, but some kind of "more/less" toggle for each section might be useful if not already present.
Pins, retroactive Spaces assignment, and filter structure need improvement
I was really excited about the new organizational features, especially Pins and Archive, but I think some parts of the current thread management system still need refinement.
First, the Pin feature is not very useful in practice when assigning Spaces retroactively to an existing thread. This is exactly the kind of workflow where better thread organization would matter most, but currently Pins do not seem to support that use case in a meaningful way.
Second, the filter menus do not feel sophisticated enough yet. Their structure seems too limited, and they do not reflect the newer organizational features clearly enough. As a result, filtering does not help as much as it should when trying to manage or revisit threads efficiently.
I think these areas would benefit from:
• Better support for retroactive thread organization when assigning Spaces.
• More useful Pin behavior in that workflow.
• A more advanced filter structure aligned with the latest organizational features.
• A clearer information architecture for managing threads over time.
Overall, the direction is promising, but the current implementation still feels incomplete from a usability perspective.

Because accidentally clicked "control browser," the app couldn't respond properly and instead displayed "To continue this thread, please use the Comet browser." The browser also couldn't access the AI model correctly, and there were no exit or close options. Refreshing didn't solve the problem either. I had to open a new window to complete my previous novel design.
Furthermore, because I subscribed to the Pro membership, the free year I had previously received through student ID automatically expired, and I was charged again starting from that day. I wanted to report this issue to customer service, but I didn't receive any response for 8 days. It's infuriating.
What happened to the threads search feature? Last week I was able to open library and search through my threads, and it would show a preview of the threads that contained the highlighted word. It is a huge waste of time to have to Ctrl+F manually through every possible thread that might contain what I'm looking for.

Hey, I am not able to get a refund for my newly subscribed Perplexity Max via Apple, even though the refund request was made within 24 hours of my purchase. Apple indicated that they would love to help, but it was Perplexity that rejected the refund. The Apple support team assisted me through several channels, but from the Apple system, the Perplexity team has closed all channels and indicated that I, as the customer, need to approach Perplexity for this issue. Hi everyone, I’m looking for guidance and ideally a human escalation on an account issue.
I’ve been a regular Perplexity user on a paid monthly iOS subscription (no promos), using it heavily for both professional work (fashion/retail consulting) and personal learning. Recently I hit a recurring bug: whenever the assistant generated and shared a file (PDF/markdown), clicking the link gave an XML “AccessDenied” error instead of downloading.
I emailed support simply to report this bug and ask how to reliably download assistant-generated files. Within a few minutes, I received a response saying my account had been suspended for Terms of Service violation, that it had undergone “thorough review,” and that the decision was final and could not be appealed. No specifics were given on what behaviour was supposedly non-compliant.
To my knowledge, I have never used Perplexity in a way that violates the ToS: no scraping, automation abuse, or anything of that nature – just normal question-answering, document help, and analysis for clients and personal use. The timing (bug report → immediate permanent suspension) feels very odd.
I’ve already cancelled my iOS subscription via the App Store to prevent further billing. I’ve also emailed support again asking for:
• Clarification on whether this could be a false positive or error.
• Confirmation that my subscription is cancelled and how my data will be handled.
• Whether I can safely use or subscribe again in future.
Given the seriousness of a full suspension for a long-term paying user, I would really appreciate if a human support agent could review this case rather than only an automated system.

If you let corporate suit wearers dictate the direction, then you let people without actual higher cognitive abilities dictate the direction. the platform will absolutely degenerate towards the lowest common denominator, which is high in quantity but very low in quality, until it will collapse in on itself. This here is not a video game, which have it comparatively easy. Perplexity.ai does not have that, so it can't create addicts. Worse, it has no unique, interesting features that actually binds quality people to the platform. You only aim for quantity people which, while there's a seemingly infinite amount of them, it's important that they're also needy, demanding todders in adult bodies and they're all easily programmed to just go somewhere else. The cost is never worth it, but you'll likely figure that out soon enough. (not that i really believe anyone really reads this, but maybe someone with the ability to understand the depths actually does read it)

Something has changed in the Perplexity app and not for the better.
Previously, I used to be able to prompt a query in the Perplexity app or the Comet browser and continue the conversation by selecting the appropriate thread in either app.
For the past few days now, I am unable to select a thread on my Perplexity app and continue the conversation if the thread was originally created in the Comet browser. I get a message asking me to “continue the thread in the Comet browser.”
Why would they do this? This breaks the continuity of the conversation and makes it more difficult for the user.

I believe the interaction between the AI and humans should be mapped like fractals. Would do a lot toward personalization during interaction. The model already adapts to the individual after prompting but reverts every session. Some things remembered, many not. A fractal model would solve the overly polite/non confrontational issues Im seeing with it. Once told what my preferences are, the AI remembers per session but reverts back to a "one size fits all" model. A fractal model would react to the individual preferences and vocabulary level in a more realistic fashion. It would also allow for the AI to be able to state things like, "I dont know", I deal in scientific, mathematical and other such data points and cannot answer about religion or matters that are strictly opinion." types of responses that allow for the AI to remain nonconfrontational without feeling deceptive.

Hi, I'm a pro costumer and I've been locked out of both platforms I use perplexity on (Web and Android) for multiple days, due to the bogus phone number verification requirement. Yes, I've contacted both the regular support as well as pro support about this, to no avail.
In both cases I have explained that this purported "security" campaign is misguided and, at least in my case, would actively downgrade my security.
Your stated motive for mandating phone numbers is to enforce SMS 2FA, which is the least secure kind of 2FA, because it is vulnerable to SIM-swapping attacks at the very least.
This would downgrade my security because I login to perplexity with Google SSO, and my Google account is protected with much more secure kinds of 2FA authentication.
Please exempt my account from this requirement and let me access my account again.
It is unacceptable that I, as a paying customer, have been locked out of using your product just because I refuse to comply with your misguided policies that could downgrade my own security.
And yes, I have already submitted a request under the GDPR "Right to Object" to prevent you from asking about my phone number, but it takes "up to 30 days" to get any kind of resolution that way, which is far too long.

Hey, so I can't see the value in paying for a 100 message cap. The downward trend makes me think that committing to a year of Perplexity is going to be a loss. We've gone from 600 messages a day, to a cap of 200 that slowly replenishes (about 200 per week), to 100. I cannot trust that it's not going to drop further to 50, and then 25, and then we are too close to the service that free users get. You guys are asking for too much money for too little now.
I'd pay 5 bucks max a month for that kind of output.

Last week and even yesterday, the AI was consistently amazing for me: deeper reasoning, strong contextual understanding, practical responses, consistent personality/tone, and overall it felt genuinely intelligent and useful.
Today it suddenly feels completely different much shorter, colder, generic/textbook-like, and mostly giving neutral “if X then Y” answers without the same depth or confidence.
Support told me thread length and model updates can affect behavior, but honestly I’m still confused because the difference feels way too big to be just that.
I’m genuinely fine paying $200/month if the quality/style I had all last week stays consistent long term. But if the AI can suddenly feel like a completely different system overnight, it becomes hard to rely on professionally.

Hi, I am a Pro Plan user. Recently, over the past week, the model Claude sonnet 4.6 thinking dropped to an unusable level.
Sometimes, even when I ask difficult questions, it just answers them quickly, with very little thought.
Of course, the answer quality is awful. I've been using Sonnet for a long time, as it performs best in the Pro plan, so I definitely noticed the difference.
Occasionally, it just outputs the thinking process without actually responding, which is a disaster, and this is evidence of why I say this model is unusable. It just doesn't work.

I have 2 accounts. One i use private only, one I use for work only. The company hasn't implemented GenAI until now, but I am responsible fpr this process and we are just days before getting Perplexity for business.
Until today.
While working and sharing my screen to teach my team using Perplexity I had to verify with my phone number. I thought nothing bad. Used my private number (we have no company mobile phones) and verified.
Later i took my phone and wanted to work further on a private project in Perplexity with my private account. Again I was asked to verify. Again I typed in my private phone number. And guess what: it can only be used once and I now bound to my working account.
I am locked out of my private perplexity pro account and have no access to my projects.
That's not an Artificial Intelligence moment. That's a natural stupidity moment.
This all made my boss overthink the decision to buy Perplexity business.

If you choose not to verify, you can cancel that promo via Settings > Support > Contact. You mentioned being locked out, then you can send such a request to support@perplexity.ai and the team can handle the cancellation for you.
If you weren’t using a promo in the first place, our support team will check that directly with you as well via email.
Ugh. I've had it: you pushed me into the new Mac app and it doesn't respect my default browser, and it's constantly defaulting to the Computer tab instead of the thing I actually want to use. The constant nagging to use Computer is incredibly annoying and reeks of enshittification, and a forced in app browser just makes it obvious that engagement metrics and revenue are all that matter now. I doubt it matters to anyone at Perplexity since you've made a calculated decision to frustrate the users who aren't consuming Computer credits, but I figured I'd at least let you know that you're pissing people off and have lost at least one paid subscriber to this behavior.

The problem isn't the region. The problem is that a mobile number gets bound to an account and cant be used twice. That's a major change cause it leads to a situation where people with 2 accounts but only one mobile number get locked out of one of their accounts.
I have important data for work in there. Plenty of spaces I created and shared with others. And now I am locked out and noone helps immediately.

I still have not gotten my refund yet and my credit card company has been told twice by perplexity that I didn’t cancel per policy but Sam had emailed me stating I cancelled within it…it’s 2177.5 which is a sizeable number and now I’m about to start getting charged interest - no one from perplexity has responded to me. • Following Perplexity’s guidance, I temporarily switched to Pro, which triggered a new issue: my account was locked, I was told I needed to pay for 50 Pro seats for a year, and all Enterprise Max privileges were revoked mid‑subscription.
Sam continues to say a human will respond within 48 hours, but no one has reached out.
I love the platform and have been extremely loyal, but this is now impacting my business operations.
Can someone from the Perplexity team escalate this?

I already have a conversation with support via e-mail that hasn't received any further replies for 6 days already. The latest reply tells me to wait and that additional responses will result in placing me at the back of the queue. Can you please expedite my case please? I have been locked out from my account because of this nonsensical requirement that downgrades my account's security for almost a month now.
Please be patient and wait for a response, the team needs time to review and then respond to tickets, and there are a lot of tickets in the backlog right now.

I've been waiting weeks for a response to a ticket that "Sam" had "escalated" to human support. Sending follow up emails to the ticket don't even get automated responses anymore. It's like the ticket went into a black hole never to be seen again. I've cancelled my memberships with Perplexity until they fix the absolute train wreck of a support team they have.

I have filed a GDPR "Right to object" request on May 5th, which must be addressed within 30 days.
A GDPR "Right to object" request is a legal mechanism that users can leverage to prevent companies from processing your data when it is unnecessary for providing the service, while not outright cancelling/asking for termination of their account.
As I've said above, Perplexity does not require my phone number to provide their service to me, and in fact using my phone number for SMS-based 2FA would actually downgrade the security of my account.
Honestly I would rather this matter was resolved sooner via the normal support channels, but if all else fails, Perplexity can't ignore a GDPR request.

Well, since I was muted for not making a constructive criticism, I'll make an open-hearted one.
When you provide various coupons, in various ways and for various countries, it's possible that people will buy or use them believing they will use the benefit until the end.
With this implemented functionality of verifying the coupon by country, it simply punishes those who bought the service and those who made the sale only profited. It would be interesting to review this aspect.
Will this situation remain as is? Or will the only answer be that we will have to pay again?

I am an Enterprise Pro customer. I am just a few months into a one-year subscription, but you have cut off my access and never answer support requests. Here's what happened: I clicked to upgrade to Enterprise Max, but your online billing systems never works. I have tried paying using different browers, different OSs, different ISPs, and different cardi cards, but your system (or Stripe?) never works--I always get an error about the API fields not matching. Because I upgraded to Max, but have not paid, you have cut off my PAID-FOR Enterprise Pro subscription. I submitted a support request a week ago and was promised a response within 48 hours from the billing department, because they would need to cancel my Max subscription and restore my Pro service. It has been one week, and I have not received any kind of response. Every time I email to ask for an update, your AI agent expresses sympathy and agrees that this level of service is unaceptable, promises to notate my renewed request for support, and prioritize my request, but then nothing happens. No human being ever contacts me. Apparently, there is supposed to be a Pro channel here on discord, but it seems like you have cut off access to that too. Can you please resolve this today? I rely on Perplexity for important work streams and have already started moving to other AI companies. One week of down time is unaacceptable.

What's the point of having a pro version when you are pushing everything in max subscription, just remove the pro version option and provide only max version
