there's a huge amount of users with intelligence and creativity going beyond the typical human bot, who uses AI exactly like one would expect: like a bot. Everyone else, who recognizes intelligence, because they're intelligent, are basically all getting locked out. such people are usually tinkerers and smarter than the human bots. they won't feel enticed to sub, but change platform. i did that too. went to perplexity to chatgpt, because it locked me out. i'm not a mindless tool operating in cognitive spaces that only cover a few responses. my attention span is wide and so is my ability to concentrate.

I understand the feeling. Switching to Pro felt like a massive downgrade. I don't do anything other people do. I do cognitive research. Just got a response that Perplexity Enterprise is 500 credit per user. I had just burned through 50,000 of credit (combo of sign-off bonus credit and Perplexity Max usage of 10,000 credit) in 2 weeks. I am nearly done with my strategy. Just backtesting it via Cursor at the moment. Started with CGPT, then moved on to Claude and then now finally ended up at Perplexity. Computer.

Previously, I used to be able to prompt a query in the Perplexity app or the Comet browser and continue the conversation by selecting the appropriate thread in either app.

I am quite new to it and do not have much experience, but building up knowledge on how to use it. I have it installed on my iPhone and MacBook, and I am really pleased with the quality of the answers.

One issue that I encountered is on Computer, the MacBook app, when instructed to build a file to be downloaded, the downloadable file dink does not appear in the interface as expected. It does appear on the iPhone version, but not on the MacBook.

Mozilla Firefox lets you use Perplexity as the default search engine if you're using it as a browser.

I'm not sure what other browsers let you, but out of the box you can switch to Perplexity to handle searches in Mozilla Firefox.

The way it works by default is that when you search, it defaults to Perplexity. But if I do "shift-enter" it'll search in Google instead. So what I'm trying to do is shift it so that it still uses Perplexity as a default, but replaces Google with DuckDuckGo
