I have often reached a point with a thread where over the course of long deliberations I am at a sweet spot where all context has been established and replies are beautifully informed. At this point it becomes akin to a race against context window to maximise the value I get out of the AI before its answers begin to degrade and I have to try and summarise and start-over, which takes time and usually loses some of the richness of the previous context established through active exploration and deliberation.

The ability to freeze a thread at this sweet spot and then branch off it to my hearts content would be such a time-saver for me and I'm sure plenty of other users. Something akin to this already occurs when sharing the thread with someone else but the ability to do it myself, easily would be so damn helpful

Its answers are good for basic questions, but for most complex things it seems you need to rely a bit too much on their daily deep research (which is probably why they still offer much more queries for that than other providers).
