it's well known for a while....even Gemini 2.5 Pro getting it right only about 40-60% of the time, while 2.5 Flash getting it right 100% is well described

I also initially assumed that if get it right once, it means it always gets it right - but that's demonstrably not true

one of the PDF analysis I did with PPLX + Gemini 2.5 Pro - I thought it always gets it right, but actually it's (only) about 80-90% of the time

that's the one I thought PPLX + Gemini 2.5 Pro model out-performs Google's platform, but now I'm not 100% sure....cos Google's platform gets it maybe 50% of the time, but error bars probably overlapping (and I not that crazy to test like thousands of times lol)

it's an important thing imo - u can't always assume that any AI model gets anything right in a sense - still need to think yourself and verify is perhaps the ultimate point

but then it's not that different to a human - can make mistakes...just the theory i guess currently is that Human + AI makes "less mistakes" than Human alone for many use cases
