It’s a good question because I think a lot of developers like to have too much control over their own product but as I work with audio, it reminds me a lot of reaper which gives you a barebones program but with a shit ton of extensions

Actually, that’s a very good point to say out loud because it just reminded me of something yesterday where I spotted it being very lazy and I knew that it could do the job and it just refused to do it but then I said I know your explicit token and rate limit this is well within your capacity

So the point is, I think that these systems are kind of geared by default to err on the side of least computation unless explicitly instructed to do otherwise

That’s my best advice I could give anyone to be honest when working with LLMs

there is a lot of triaging going on as well behind the scenes in other words before it actually tries to execute the query it determines or estimate how complex it will be based on previous experience and pattern recognition but this is often incorrect so it ends up using a lot less tokens or processing, then it really shouldso you should try saying specifically whatever you can to stop it from cheating
