I remember reading somewhere that both the mini and the regular thinking model were routable in the frontend, I think. Certainly if we can't select 5-thinking-mini in the frontend, it would be safe to assume that the 5-thinking option incorporates it somehow. They also have different 'verbosity' settings that they could be dynamically tweaking behind the scenes.

(Obviously the thinking-pro one is not at the Plus level, so that one isn't routed, and the nano one I think I read was only API)

They've succeeded in making it confusing, to say the least. 🤔

But if the 5-thinking-mini model is on parity with o4-mini as claimed, it's not a big deal maybe... that's pretty capable.
