o3 and o4-mini should be really similar in that regard, roughly matching Claude 3.7 Sonnet Reasoning in SWE Bench at 70%, and besting Gemini 2.5 Pro with about 64%. o3 primarily showed a bit more strength when it comes to analyzing and editing existing codebases (code editing), at least with o3-high - but Claude 3.7 Reasoning scored even higher for that last specific test. We don't have Grok 3 scores for these to compare directly, as far as I know. Which is best will probably depend on specific tasks and individual preferences.
