i found that claude 2 can appear more human

as a result of its RLHF process

gpt 4 is still the better model as it's more proficient in more areas as a mixture of experts model (supposedly)

i use gpt 4 for learning but will fall back on claude 2 when i want a more human explanation

Try using a different model (Pro only). The default perplexity model (GPT-3.5 Fine Tuned) is less likely to fully consider the AI profile. That's why you see it working with Copilot, which uses GPT-4 for the final answer.

If you are planning to use ppx for coding, I highly suggest you stick to writing mode. Copilot is a no-no, at least for me

For things like flight booking and travel itineraries, I agree, Bard is quite a bit better than pplx, but for research, and information gathering pplx is still much better

can someone explain your workflow when it comes to using AI to help you build your web project and can you give me an example of how you use AI when building your web project from scratch. I've been trying to successfully use AI to build a next.js site. Mind you I don't have no prior programming experience but I am capable of learning and reading code. Do you simply greedily choose the token with the highest probability, sample from the probability distribution, or do you use some more sophisticated algorithm like beam search, top-k sampling or nucleus sampling? I don't know what perplexity use (maybe someone here knows?), but I think which algorithm you choose can make a big difference. Before giving it a prompt, I normally ask to "correct the grammar and orthograph" as it can make a difference if there are errors in the prompt. In your prompt there are minor errors, but still it understood the task imo.

Personally I think that feature is already well developed by other AIs, before knowing Perplexity I was testing personal.ai which seems to fit your needs.

Is this really a gpt4-32k? Why I call gpt4-32k api and here gpt4 ask the same question, gpt4-32k api answer me more detailed and smart. Or is gpt4 dynamic here? Is gpt4-32k enabled only if the content is longer than 8k?

Can you come up with a separate modeling option for gpt4-32k, I need it for some longer and more complex tasks and problems. It could be made to consume more times. Because, after my testing I found that gpt4-8k will not be able to handle or give accurate answers when dealing with some longer ones, but gpt4-32k can deal with such problems in a clear and smart way.

In my month of heavy use, I think for the most part it would be critical to have access to a large model to assist me in very complex problems and tasks, and arguably greatly improve my efficiency, but I find that the default version of gpt4 loses accuracy in complex situations, and the questions answered are always in error.

Can you guys please work on absolutely nothing but understanding context as it pertains to follow-up questions from the original response? The lack of actual context awareness when asking follow-up questions often prevents any sort of useful outcome from a thread. Very very frustrating

I'll just tell you that in my experience, using GPT-4 with Perplexity is borderline worthless. Half the time for any sort of complex request, it will just say "I'm sorry, there are no search results blah blah blah". Then the same request with Claude 2 turned on will give you a pretty thorough response (albeit without the ability to properly respond to follow-up questions still, but that's a perplexity issue, not a claude/gpt issue obviously)
