I’m a full-stack dev mainly working on e-commerce and AI-related projects.

For the past several years, I worked on a lot of different projects along the way.
Things like Shopify stores, custom EC platforms, AI chatbots, SaaS tools, automation systems, and business web apps for startups and companies.

Most of my work is around backend development, frontend UI, and integrating AI into actual business workflows.
Tech stack is mostly React, Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, Python, OpenAI API, Shopify, AWS, etc.

Recently, AI projects have been growing really fast, so a lot of my recent work has been things like:
AI customer support bots
GPT-based automation tools
AI content generation systems
AI features for e-commerce management
recommendation systems and personalization stuff

I also work with overseas teams pretty often, so I’m comfortable with English communication and remote collaboration.
Still learning new things every day though haha.

Hi all, hoping to find someone that can help with this issue

So the problem is, we have our app behind Cloudflare and we are using their AI protections robots.txt.

We have specifically allowed Perplexity (wasn't even on the default block list)

But it still seems like Cloudflare returns a 403 error

Take Claude bot for instance, it is able to do successful requests to index our content, but Perplexity is the only one that gets blocked, don't really understand why

Over the last 7 days there have been over 400 of these 403 requests to our app

We would very much like visibility within your search product and hoping someone can help out on this

I guess I should give my thoughts on what might be causing this. Perplexity was able to access our content fine prior to us switching over to Cloudflare for production i.e. when testing the app we got lots of successful requests from your crawlers. For security we forced all HTTP traffic to go through Cloudflare, and since then none of the requests have worked, while I have no idea how exactly your crawler works, it may be possible that it is still trying to connect directly via the IP address and hence getting blocked, just a guess though.

I’m a Perplexity Max user and since today I’ve noticed a very strong change in how the AI responds to me.
Until yesterday, the AI:
-had a consistent, “coaching‑style” tone,
-gave applied guidance with clear verdicts (good/bad, what it recommends I do),
-felt engaged with my situation, not just neutral.
Since today:
-replies are shorter and much more generic/impersonal,
-I mostly get neutral explanations like “if A then B, if C then D”,
-it feels like I’m talking to a completely different model/personality than before.
I did not change any settings and I did not ask for this change.

My questions:

1. Has anything changed recently in how Max responses are configured (style/tone/length)?
2. Is this expected behavior, or could there be an issue with my account or session?
3. Is there any way to keep the previous “coaching‑style” behavior with clear guidance instead of only neutral explanations?
   Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Hi Perplexity peers, Richard here from Chicago 👋. I just signed up as a Max subscriber a month ago, and I like Perplexity Computer. But now into my 2nd month as a Max subscriber I ran into an issue with my credits being burned, without any apparent task initiation from me. All tasks where finished or so they looked like from my UI view. Now its been a week since writing over the bubble chat and then following up via email without any response 😕. Is there a proper way to ask for support, or a specific place here to do so? Maybe I am missing somthing. Any help or guidance on this would be appreciated.

OK. I am from Southern California. A fun fact? Hmmmmm... I sang in an opera, and almost got myself eaten by a lion. Hard to say which was more terrifying, but I came out alive both times. I use perplexity to process medical legal reports. I came to the server at the suggestion of the perplexity team as I was trying to figure out why my file uploads were being blocked.
