Quick update on the status of Perplexity Pro. I received an email from them stating that they figured out that they were wrong. And, they actually restored my Pro account so I'm happy! It lasted approximately five days.

Hey everyone, here to get the lay of the land. I am a semi-retired independent science-consulting field-assessor. I still need that consultant income stream due to future family medical expenses. I am not fully retiring until I am absolutely forced to.

I am a part-time caregiver. I am active in my national science organization's visioning discussions. I am a vocal community activist. I have an old house (in a historic district) to restore. It's a wonder-filled life.

Perplexity is providing me agency in all these areas. I use Spaces extensively, each connected to a cloud directory. Plus, Discover gets a lot of doomscrolling.

Hey, Iโ€™m a life long resident in the good olโ€™ deep south of Texas (insert sarcasm here).

Iโ€™ve been an active animal rescuers for about 25 alongside my sister. Started on the dog side until I notice the horribly overlooked and dismissed feral population so switched to cats while still collaborating with my sister on the dog side. Iโ€™ve been practicing and implementing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for 11 years. I found a colony of feral, neglected/emaciated and pregnant cats in a trailer park 9 years ago and decided to TNR them (which led to me decided to become a vet tech to better care for them).

What I didnโ€™t know was it turned out to be 120 cats but I commented, walk up to the first person I saw to ask about them. Long story short, that person is now my husband of 8 years. We bought a trailer in the park to have access to the cats, got kicked out and ended up buying them their own little sanctuary on 2 1/2 acres and moved every single one of them.

We are now an incorporated, Texas tax nonprofit (As a Matter of Cats Inc.) currently in the process of obtaining our 501c3.

I use perplexity for medical XML, FHIR etc. as well as multiple science based and medical cross references especially when I need to medicate a cat. I am very adamant about double checking and making sure my calculations are the correct dosages before I medicate even when I know they are. Iโ€™m still a human and when lives are at stake one canโ€™t afford to make simple mistakes.

Im still in the beginning stages of stack developing and coding and hoping to learn faster and stay updated on newer tools being developed.

A fun fact about me: I recently was awarded a provisional patent for an in-line web-page localization implementation of a small language model and 3 agentic services that translate web-pages between the server and requester. I implemented this for a service organization who needed their site translated to spanish but couldn't afford it. Traditional localization would have cost $3K, my solution so far cost $0.76. I'm giving the tech away open-source, and patented it so that nobody could patent it after me and horde the technology.

Hello, Iโ€™m Janardhan Pasala. I currently have a Perplexity Pro subscription, but suddenly I received a Perplexity Pro Subscription Suspension Notice. Iโ€™ve followed up multiple times with support@perplexity.ai, yet I keep getting the same automatedโ€‘style reply:
โ€œThe suspension decision is final and cannot be appealed or reโ€‘reviewed. We are unable to provide additional details beyond what has already been shared.โ€

Iโ€™m sharing this here to get a clear summary of what happened, particularly around:

the reason for the suspension,

whether a refund was offered or should be expected,

what Compliance / Termsโ€‘ofโ€‘Service issues may have triggered this,

why they allowed me to use and pay if my usage was allegedly violating their policy, and

why they didnโ€™t block or warn during usage instead of suspending after payment.

My main goal is to resume my Pro subscription with proper guidance, not just receive a refund. A refund should only be considered if reinstatement is genuinely not possible.
