the higher the resolution the worse the problem, im playing on 4k native, when i set scale to 50% its almost fixed

on a side note, dont know if its related but the water level seems to be a lot higher now
in the Steam Folder you have the Enshrouded folder
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Enshrouded
it should have a .txt or .log file called "Enshrouded", just dragndrop that bastard here
yeah I have a natural waterfall (untouched, unedited world gen) in my base area and it flooded the entire lower level of my base

I even forced the DLSS override even tho its unsupported, does not change a thing.
i first thougth that my setting were to high for my gpu but thts not the case its not fully utalised and it dosn´t mater
then i noticed turning anti allising to FSR 3 quality fixes it
before the update max settings with dlaa only was fine for 4k, i was getting stable 60fps with 5090
for me if i use FSR 3 Quality or lower it is fixed
Out of curiosity i checked on my end. Visuals seem fine flooding is still a problem tho.

It likes to party more at certain angles and the edge of the screen for me
windowed native res = disco, window resized = fixes on lower res
for me it seams to be worse with smaler bodys of water to
base flooding is just cos default water level is higher
as example i have an small pit filled with water at my base to refill my stuff and it goes more disco than anything else
but for me setting Anti Allising to FSR3 quality fixes that to
but only for resolutions below 90%
for me res scale at 100% with 4k, dlss balanced fixes it
dlss quality is still funky
hopefully it gets fixed somehow ore my Base will have disco when using high quality settings forever
its just a matter of time untill it gets fixed, sooner or later
2 findings so far, the DLAA is the worst (obviously highest res), the angle is essential. If I look down on the water it almost stops completly, when I stand at waterlevel and look straight ahead its the absolut worst. Only DLSS preset that fixes it for me is ultra-performance
looking as you have a 5090 too, it may be tied to cpu too
what CPU's do we have?
as for me balanced worked so there must be something more than just gpu

the only thing that lines up is high resolution, most ppl who play 4k use powerfull gpus so the sample size is smaller

I did some playing around with my settings and now i have the issue as well xd
Setting FSR3 Quality down from "Native" to "Quality" or lower and Water to performance seems to at least alleviate the problem for me (Water looks 'meh' now). Still weird that it suddenly started.
just checked the "water" setting, its kinda pointless with this issue, only the lowest possible setting has some effect (lowers the disco effect but doesnt remove it), other settings in water dont seem to affect the issue

The combination works somewhat. But it certainly isn't a fix.
Apart from Ultra Performance... but cmon... im not playing the game in... what, 320p? Nu'uh.
I'm also playing natively in 4K... everything on max, in case that's the reason... the base is underwater ... the water level is significantly higher after this update.

As tommor pointed out the water level is probably fine. Noted in the patch notes. The visual bugs is the part that is actually the problem.
Therefore, this version of the game is unusable until a hotfix is ​​released to resolve this issue...
This seems.. unrelated to the issue at hand but also curious. Do you happen to have a backup save you could replace and try loading that world again to see if that fixes your water levels?

Even grasses were sticking through the base, it almost seems as if everything I changed has been positioned deeper. No idea, okay then no Enshrouded for the next few days - too bad.
looked through the patchnotes and there's nothing about raising the base level of water, next to my base there are bridges and grass underwater - it all was above water before update, this persists even on lower resolution so its not only visual and yea, i can even swim over that bridge now

Luckily I have a backup of my map... I hope they can fix it soon.

That is under the assumption that natural water sources fuction similarly to the dispensers
and its over character height difference

Noticed the difference too. Just saying might be a side-effect of that change. But we can honesly just wait and see.
In any case, I see no solution for us as users, the developers must fix the problem with a Hotfix.

That's ripples, no?
It looks like ssr artifacts but within the water deformation directly around the character. Hard to describe, check on the left hand glove and between the arm and body
like the left hand there is deforming the ripples that are probably over 1m away. I'm just wondering this is nothing gamebreaking anymore lol
