Hi, Can you please include the following information in this thread to help the devs track down what this issue might be?

INSTRUCTIONS
Please drag and drop your Logs, DxDiag and save files in here so the devs have easy access to them. If you see anyone else with the issue can you also direct them here and ask them to do the same?

Instructions on what to put in here: https://enshrouded.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/9767167725853-Reporting-Bugs

I will provide logfiles when I run into issues that I can pair with screenshots.

Excessive bloom(?) on the fog. It was not immediately the case when entering the well so I assume it got something to do with either dawn or once I cleared the shroud root. Initially it was even brighter but stepping a bit close seems to have caused some recalculations with the fog.

The reduced textures for some distant trees seem to act out. Getting closer removes the black box variatons. Log is a continuation from the above.

Same session as above. Also shows just black instead of the actual texture. Not just the confetti effect.

# frigid badger Temporary fix was setting Texture Resolution to balanced.

I bought this game this morning looking for a new crafting survival fix - great Steam reviews, thought 'woohoo' that'll do!

Installed. First launch, had to wait 30 minutes for 'compiling shaders' to complete. Then get in the game to find this ridiculous graphics problem....

I have the problem shown in the above post but much worse - the whole world is horrendously purple and the game is basically unplayable. Physical movement is smooth, but the game flashes so dramatically it's unpleasant to play.

Followed your suggestion to change to 'balanced' Texture Resolution and the purple went away, but now the game is literally unplayable. Frame rate has dropped to 1-2 Frames every 10 seconds or so.

Seriously, how is this game so widely praised, yet such a ridiculous car crash of graphical instability?

This is an issue that just popped up after the last update that the devs are looking in to.

Unfortunately just an image and description of the issue aren't going to help them too much. If you could please drag and drop your Logs, DxDiag and save files in here, as requested above, so that the devs have easy access to the information they need to find and fix this issue, it will go a long way to helping them repair the issue.

I can't change the "Texture" setting in display. It stays on performance, wanted to have better textures even if it's laggy
How can I fix it?

is this going to get fixed anytime soon?

The fact that it looks like well block or vukah temple textures snuck in there suggest to me that something is shifting the texture atlas. The hard part is probably figuring out why and where as it does not look like its uniform. ๐Ÿ˜„

I have it better than most here, but yeah, the game got uglier for some reason. Atleast there's no purple soup, like it's the sims 2

Game opened like this. I was at Quality settings, went to Balanced to see if that would fix it but it did not. I then went to Max performance and it resolved the issue. I was able to return to Quality after adjusting to the lowest quality setting, with no issue. (please ignore my embarrassing username)

Was having the same problem, I changed the TEXTURE RESOLUTION to PERFORMANCE and it now works. For anyone still having issues.

When I switch between servers sometimes I wont be wearing items, sometimes certain body parts will be completely removed. This only happens between server hopping and not when I load the game.

austere apex
#

Is it not texture resolution related?

Can you point me in the right direction of where I should be posting this then?

I'm still having issues with can't change texture from performance. It's stuck there and I sent a form but got no response. Anyone can help with that?

supposedly I have 12319mb of available and only 128mb being dedicated. Can't I increase the dedicated?

RAM and VRAM are two different things.

@spare wave I finally had some progress on this Texture resolution thing, which for me also made the entire world pink and pixelated. I had already run the 3 first steps from the minidump instructions with no change but complete GPU driver removal (Step 4: Clean reinstall GPU driver (with DDU)
Clean install with DDU) in safe mode and reinstalling latest nvidia drivers seems to have solved. During install I accepted nvidia app, which recommended even lower settings for my GTX 1060 6GB. With this the game looks normal, does not crash etc. I have started the game 3 times, played for some hours all without any hiccups.

Checking in with everyone @here to see if you guys are still having this issue after the patch.

I can report that I still have texture issues on the map. Map is black at first, then texture will load in blocks, slowly. If I scroll to a new area of the map, same -- black, and then textures load. If I move back to where I was before, the previously loaded textures are gone -- black again, and then textures load slowly.

#

For World and UI textures, it's the same as it was before. No textures or low res textures at first, but then they eventually load in, and it's fine after that. Except for a few tings, like Glider texture will frequently not appear for a few seconds, and this is after being in the game for a good amount of time.

I still have the same issue with the lighting, aerial perspective and trees. Everything is flat, foliage is weirdly lit from below and the game overall looks quite ugly.

I guess there's no information about this graphics issues?

I honestly didn't think it's a bug, but their overhaul of the foliage/lighting. But I agree that it looks really ugly.
Been wandering around the Revelwood in the past days a lot and I memorised it very differently and more beautiful before ๐Ÿฅฒ
Really hope they'll revert it to before or work further on it...

#

Also, hazelnuts and berries look like made of plastic now. While I don't have a highend rig, I can still run texture settings in quality and also saw these plastic berries in a stream of someone, so I suppose it's not only my PC showing them like that.

This is a screenshot I took last year in april and the trees in Revelwood looked so much nicer imo ๐Ÿ˜ข

This thread is for the texture resolution issue that causes rainbow threads to appear in textures, like the ones posted above.

If you are not having that issue, please take the conversation to #enshrouded-chat

#

We need to keep this clear so the devs can find the information they need to fix the bug.

yeah I am seeing that. @tough comet what you are seeing is not the texture resolution issue. I believe it is just the lighting pre-dawn and dusk, since it's mostly indirect lighting at that point during the day cycles.

#

Sorry, I didn't look closely at the images you sent before.
