#After turning on V-Sync the minidumps
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hey there, next time you get one of these weird crashes, could you please send me your Enshrouded.log file?
Alrighty
So, last week directly after the Update I got the Minidumps when entering Kelvinsruh (Fort Kelvin) or the new Mire after a few minutes.
So I came here and used the procedure from the !minidump workaround, first verifying the files and using the github fix which did not work even after restarting the PC.
Afterwards I tried updating the graphics driver to no avail either.
Then I read in #troubleshooting about activating v-sync and tried that.
Minidumps stopped happening and I could play (almost) without issues except one:
When I go to the menu using ESC, click outside the game, and want to resume a few minutes later, it crashes. No popup or other error message.
My hardware:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
GPU: nVidia Geforce 1080
OS: Windows 11 Pro
24GB RAM
For the log-file
When I was streaming today I didn't find it when the game crashed and now i cannot reproduce the incident. Seems like it only happens when playing for a little longer than just 5 Minutes (more like after an hour or two). Therefore I will send you the file on Friday as soon as it crashes again.
If anything more is needed, please let me know.
Allright, thank you for the update.
You can find the file under:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Enshrouded
It's called "Enshrouded.log"
Even if no files are created, suchs as crasuh dumps, this file should be updated either way. Just post it here next crash, please.
Hello again, here is the log now.
Just had my break, came back and game closed. :3
Thank you for helping! Hope you have a wonderful friday.
If you can, could you try something for me? If you can manage, please open your NVidia Control Panel and change the Vulkan present method to the following:
See if it works
Thank you. I changed the setting and will give you feedback later today.
Hello again. That did not help. Still closed after a few minutes in the menu
The new log-file from today
I have a hunch... could pressing F10 close the game? ๐
okay, no, that wasn't it
Because it just happened again.
When streaming I pause my stream by switching the scene (Ctrl-P) and switch back after a few minutes (F10)
Someone just suggested starting the game as Admin
and/or giving full access to the files
I will try that, too, and report back :3
Still crashes. Today it even had a minidump again
These are the two files from the crash_dump of today. Hope this helps
thank you kindly for the added information and apologies that the issues were not fixed with those attempts.
We are currently working on a few crash fixes. Please hang tight as we will share more info as they become concrete. Hopefully you'll be positively impacted by them
Thank you for working on it. Luckily the crashes always only occur when I pause my stream and don't occur mid-playing so it is not as bad as others may experience. Still a great game and I will stay put and keep you updated with fixes I try, may they come from you guys or someone else.

Hey there, we're pushing today a few crash fixes. If possible, please let me know if it turns out solving your crashes.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Update is now installed. I will give you feedback on wednesday. ๐
Also I was asked to deliver something from anerys01: They want you to know that you do a really great job and it is their favourite game of the year.
And I can only support that ^^
Also thank you again for being so patient with helping me out. :3
Please send them my regards and thanks for the warm words. It really helps out. The same applies to you, of course. Thank you for having fun with our game and enjoying it so much!
Done. ^^
I have some bad news... the patch did not fix my crashes XD
Still happens after a few minutes in the menu.
Here is the newest log.
Still not a big issue. It's just for your info. ๐
Update: it had nothing to do with being in the menu for a longer time.
Today I did not open the menu when going into my break and it crashed again after a few minutes inactivity. No F-buttons were pressed during this process.
I guess the inactivity triggers a shutdown or something?
