Idk if anyone remembers me with my woes of my computer sounding like a jet engine and my cpu rivaling the sun for heat emissions, but I got the air cooler a couple people suggested and it is ~30 to 40° C cooler at idle and under load, and it’s so quiet I can’t hear it. Also for those who suggested the paste was the temp issue: the paste was only on half of it.. new paste was applied properly.

Just wanted to give an update and huge thank you to everyone who helped! Happy Holidays!

It's brutal as hell out there. But at least I can save you $200 if you're willing to try Nobara Linux (it's made for easy out of the box streaming and gaming). Perhaps you can save some money going with RAM split up among two kits of two sticks each. There are arguments you could use a Dark Rock Pro 4 or 5 air cooler but the savings isn't insane there, and arguments you could downtier your CPU pick a little. But we're talking a few hundred bucks savings with all my reccs. It's a hateful market. I'm rather in agreement with GN Steve that the PC market is being intentionally priced out of the reach of users to force us to turn to compute-as-a-service lifestyles.

Also it's important to remember that Keen has a vested interest in making the game as accessible as possible. They want people to be able buy and play it on older machines, and performance works is definitely going to be ongoing. They want to release on consoles, which means they've got big improvements to make.

set based on windows os( which is actually the only operating system that supports gaming and streaming..

so the spec and programs runing are as follows.( percent usded on current machine)
mind you i hav ASD AOBS so when a pc lags or freezes while i'm working/ gaming i get triiggered

op sys: windows:
programs open

chrome: 20-40% cpus( 10%gpu)
obs-steady 20% cpu( gpu is like 30%
steam ( steady 20% gpu like 1.8% cpu: )
enshrouded ( 30% gpu(most games its 30-50%)(almost 0% cpu)
or insckape( 20% cpu - 40% gpu)
muisc player( use split 10% cpu and gpu)
voice meter( has voicebox that doesnt pick up even when i do natural tonal isolation on mic lol) (20% cpu 1% gpu)
Mic and speaker( 10% cpu)
discord or audictity( and even 10% in both cpu and gpu)

the only current chip set that is made for that... is the build i chose...(actually talked to amd pc builder division and asked if there was a disablity budget friendly option...the answer was no for all those apps open at once, and the sales person even laughed at my budget constraints)

i'm not sure why companies should give out special prices for high end gear to specific people (if low performance triggers you, you need to be conscious about what your build can handle, and that will not change). Just sure that the prices are high for everyone, if you want a build that lasts for the next few years. RAM prices shooting up by 100% thanks to AI. newest midrange GFX Cards only come with 8GB, which is ridiculous. Because people refuse to buy their new product line, Companies discontinue service on products they released last year.
All of that makes building a new PC at this day a costy hobby. It has not so much to do with who is using the PC - whoever wants to stream games, thats the price they have to pay now.

i have a friend who switched to linux, and he had about 20-30% performance increase in gaming. you could check that out, before investing in a new pc at this time.

Despite trying hard, I didn't understand your text at all. Don't worry though, it doesn't matter. However, you seem to have no good reasons to exclude an obvious solution. Can understand, that Linux seems like an effort to make, but honestly, if youre even against trying it out (there are alternative open source programs for anything, and most games nowadays are Linux (steam deck) compatible), I don't see the industry professionalism you claim to have. Just an angry consumer.

unreal engine: codes for windows-> started coded for apple os after 500 lawsuits( in person read documents)-> started 2024 coding for linux after valve law suit( program code has a hidden fee of like 40$)

unity -> codes for windows -> started applying coding for apple os after 700 laws suits(in person read documents) -> took 5 laws suits for them to allow Linux os compatibility( all filed by valve) -> requires you to download an insne about of plug ins and other add ons to code for apple and linux running..

Something it can help to realize is:

  1. There is no "Normal", only what society deems as such and who cares about that. Find a niche of people who enjoy your company and don't worry about what society thinks about it.
  2. No one is anyone. High profile people aren't high profile because they're inherently "better" than anyone else. There is a huge amount of luck and privilege that results in people being public personas
  3. The human mind isn't biologically adapted to parasocial relationships and the digital age. We're still mostly tribal as far as how our brains work and don't really have the capability to assimilate the amount/type of information we receive on a daily basis. Society has COMPLETELY shifted in the last 30 or so years at a rate that has never been possible before.

If someone is beating down your self esteem repeatedly then it's best to cut ties with them. Find friends that lift you up.
Being critical can be good and bad depending upon how it's said and layed out. If someone just tells you everything you did was wrong that's not going to be productive and people don't learn well like that.
If they tell you what you did wrong and HOW to fix or prevent it from happening then you can learn and grow from the mistake. I know I've made a lot of mistakes during my life and the difference between the teachers and mentors that I've dealt with has shown me repeatedly.
The times when someone was trying to ultra polite and trying to avoid making me offended by not pointing out what I did wrong made some awkward moments. I explained to them if I'm fubaring something or it can be done better then just tell me.

The internet does have the advantage of anonymity if you choose to keep it. It allows someone to speak more freely without the fear of repercussions, although that's becoming much more limited nowadays depending upon the country you're in because free speech seems to be a thing of the past. The Ghost part is because he would hide under things or in the shadowed parts of my house and very faintly mewl. If I went looking for him I'd just see two tiny green-gold eyes floating in the darkness, so I joked I was haunted. The Boo Boo part just "came naturally" to me, or so I thought; then I rewatched an old episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and realize he says "Boo Boo Kitty," and I think it just bounced around in my subconscious for years and then manifested there.

I feel this AI-stuff gets blown firstly way out of proportion from everyone. I mean, where's the difference in a human being inspired by someone elses work and an AI copying it? Well, I know the difference yea but humans tend to just add a spin to it and it's almost the same. You can't tell a new/fresh story nowadays anymore or have a completly unique style anyway anymore. Most artists just follow a style anyway. Very hard to be "unique" though.
What about AI in games? Well, I don't care. I'll still research the game and if it's garbage I won't buy. Even Enshrouded "has" AI, but only used to generate outside-the-box-map from what I grasped.

Ok funny story , my wife also has issues sleeping. Dr prescribed Ambien. Well I buzzed my head (hair cut) and wanted her to trim up the back of my neck. I didn't know she had took meds . She came over and grabbed a razer and began to shave my entire back from top all the way to my lower back in one swipe. I yelled (ahhhhh) in which she proceeded to tell me man up! At this point my pride kicked my brains butt and I stood there as she finished shaving my entire back. Was a painful experience . Next morning as I got up and she saw my back was like what the heck happed to your back ! From then on I asked when she took meds 😛

Oh then may i ask how well details can be preserved normally? if let's say it's a 80-100mm character model wearing stuff like glasses or have tiny buttons on his or her cloths?

Based on that i was hoping to build my new model cause if the tiny details end up breaking then i'd just make the area flat and like paint on top of it. It's a bit expensive in my country so i can't really experiment a lot.

I've seen this on the news here, never in person.
In Sydney all we really have to be careful of is the FunnelWeb. It's deadly, but you got about 30 mins before you drop dead, enough time to finish your will.
There is an antidote tho, if you can get it in time.

We have huge Huntsmen spiders, about as big as your hand that can bite too, but they're pretty much harmless. They're good for keeping the jumbo jet sized mozzies away, so we don't bother with them😂

Saw this going around and tested it myself, and I can confirm that this is unfortunately legit. Four hidden bots have been placed in any existing or newly created Discord server that are harvesting data, images, and most concerningly, one seems to be a face swap bot.

Due to them being invisible, banning them from your servers isn't possible without their ID's, which I've typed out for easy access.

It's actually way more complicated than that, and it's an issue effecting every generation, but the younger generations the most. The main reason it's impacting older generations less is that they tend to already have existing social circles, but for older people who lose their social circles for whatever reason, it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to build new friendships/relationships.

It's a side effect of digitalizing everything, yes, but on an individual level it's getting increasingly more difficult for people to form new relationships.

Historically, the main way new social relationships are formed is either through school/work, or through "third places", places where you can go to hang out and socialize with a local community. However, with remote work becoming more and more common, it's getting harder to form relationships through work than it used to be, and "third places" have all but disappeared from most of society. Most young people are not hanging out in libraries, coffee shops, bars, etc. So even if a young person does choose to go to those places, they likely won't have any peers they can meet.

Ask any practicing therapist and they will tell you that the issue is way more complex than personal decisions. It's a societal structure issue. Social relationships used to form naturally due to how society was setup. Relationships naturally form when tight knit groups of people are in frequent, close proximity to each other (like school). But now you have to actively seek them out, and even if you do that, it's way more difficult than it used to be to form relationships. It requires actively being proactive and trying to force relationships to form, which is really difficult for a lot of people, especially if they're introverted.

To put it another way, if the answer was just "use less social media", this wouldn't be one of the biggest modern health epidemics. Genz/millenials are adults, they're not stupid.

yes, loneliness happens to many, and i would argue that it increased since the industrialization. there was a shift in the collective mindset, resetting values of what a functioning society means, what a fulfilling life means. we are now facing the pinnacle of this evolution, where the system already seems free of alternatives. nevertheless, its merely 150 years ago that we chose to follow that path.

of course youre right, banning social media at this point is not a solution to the problem. but any practicing therapist would also tell you that its easier to get off a depression, if you do sports and eat healthy. that isnt the biggest part of the healing process of course, it is the bare minimum.
not using social media is making things a lot easier, because it forces you to train a different communication. it puts you in an entirely different world you have to handle.
the believe that there is no simple answer, is common. as said, all forces try to make you feel incapable of making your own decisions. nonetheless, there are more than enough examples to notice, that there actually is a choice, there is an answer, and yes, it takes effort. and thats what most people dont like about that answer. it is simple, but not easy.
GenZ is currently taking it on the streets for a better future, and that should be enough evidence that things can change, that people are not made to be in this dilemma for long.

Yeah, I guess I am speaking as someone who used to run a very large mental health support group, and speaking from experience that there are a lot of people out there who are trying very, very hard, and still struggling with loneliness right now. Society is very broken at the moment, socially at least, and for young working-age people especially it's a massive uphill battle to build social connections if they don't have any lasting ones from school. These days you need to actively seek out social connections, and for introverted people especially, that is quite difficult and unnatural for them. It requires learning skills that introverted people in the past never had to learn, as like I said before, tight-knit social spaces allowed relationships to form naturally, without having to artificially pursue them.

Like you said, it wasn't that long ago that things were different. But on an individual level, a lonely person can't force society to change in their favor.

its uncomfortable to say, but here we go: digital social interaction is actually a main cause of collective loneliness. we simply dont have the ability to recieve the security of a friendship via text. staring at a screen will always be just a conversation with your own imagination, your own mind. people who extensively use it, will train the brain on egocentric thinking. if that structure is predominant, it introduces long-term issues like loneliness, self-centered behavior, lack of empathy.
the tendency was already visible when we used SMS to communicate on the schoolyard. it is now amplified by the fact that the internet gives everyone room to express themselves, and get impressed.
people facing loneliness are facing a world, where it seems that you have to have a certain style or mindset to belong to a group. and because everything is visible, it is hard to know what behavior, style or opinion is acceptable in the digital space. everything is vast, inconsistent and egocentric (since everyone is talking to a mental mirror). its almost impossible to find yourself, without being frightened of harrassment from a random side.

a ritual like many indigene tribes still practice can involve hardship or sufferment, survival in solitude, crafting a gift, or acting against fear.
to us, they seem senseless or even rude, but they are massively important to the mentality of a person. you learn to know yourself, your limits, and the consequences of your actions. it is highly important to have these experiences in one or the other way, because it shapes our understanding of ourselves. it creates a foundation of self-assurance, on which social interaction can thrive.

in our society, some try to come up with personal attempts, like going on a pilgrimage, a year abroad, or participating in competitions. there are other ways to gain self-trust. sometimes it works, but the reason matters.
there is a lack of those rituals for the society as a whole.

comps for minimum run specs for all the new tech is close to 2,500$.
but if yah got a brain like mine or strem setup for example your comp is like 4k - 6k, i also have hand issues with the mouse so a touchscreen/ pen device is also not cheap, huion or Wacom only ones that selle them based on current tech. and hate wacom.
so i'm looking at 1.3k for the moniter and i got 2 lol.

A lot of the real estate markets are going to crash soon. What's probably going to make it worse is when baby boomers continue to pass away and the houses they owned are too expensive for people to buy. That will drive prices down some and ultimately create problems for the municipalities that rely heavily on property taxes.

crash bandicoot was that way, most nintendo games are like that 2... the purposely did stuff to force you to keep playing, or wanting to buy the next game.... the zelda world lore is not actually complete so nobody has ever 100'd a game lol. the overseer never tell ether links or zelda full storry. like the times they got freaky, how link is a dead beat dad.. how ganon dorf became a male in an all female society and explained how the heck he had 24 daughters with women who hate men.... also no explaination of how he changed from a moblin pig to a man lol

HF- Autism you will never convince me that lore is not part of 100% a game.
you can't tell me that within the context of the text, that there isnt a untold love story...(and lite me clearify i spent countles hours exploring every inch of the game file: activatly avvoid main sory trigger zones till i was sure i explored every area for nintend hidden lore)
