as for writing my biggest failings was making things descriptive or forwarding the story. descriptions and beautiful words almost always seemed to fail me but many women I know never struggled with it, and yet werent overly fond of writing. a shame really, so many talented people let their talents go to waste lol, and yes I know what I said before. Yeah it's a gross trend that's happening around the world rn. They implement ridiculous restrictions that are either overly restrictive or extremely invasive (privacy nightmares), but they do it all in the name of "stopping children from seeing bad content."

That way, whenever people get upset or try to stop them from implementing these horrible policies, they can say "what, do you want children to see bad content?"

It's very insidious, but annoyingly effective. It makes people afraid to stand up and fight against these policies out of fear of being labeled someone who wants bad things to happen to children.

About a year ago, I bought a MacBook Pro (M3 Pro with 36GB of RAM) for university and also thinking about my future career (Design/Game Design). I was always told that MacBooks were excellent for design… but I have to admit I’m finding some limitations, for example when it comes to gaming while traveling or spending a few days away from home. Do you think it’s worth selling my MacBook, which isn’t even a year old, and buying a Windows gaming laptop instead? Or would that actually be a downgrade in terms of design performance? Are gaming laptops good for programs like Blender, Maya, After Effects, etc.?

The mobile GPUs in "gaming" laptops should be fairly decent for it.. but I won't comment on Windows-only applications, as I only look at Linux support for anything these days.

Nah, I just bought a really nice one. I prefer that because I can get the warranty. I've had a couple problems with PCs in the past and just being able to send the machine back to the company and they replaced it if it's borked is really nice.

check your gpu and what size of monitor you want, usually bigger screensizes come with higher resolutions for better picture results but your gpu says how much it can handle.

other specs to look out for are: -reaction time 1ms
-possibly amd freesync, nvidia g-sync
-powerusage for budget
-refreshrate is good to have high for ease on eyes but the gpu is the bottleneck here so 60-120hz.(lower res makes higher rate possible if budget gpu)
-and maybe screen type if you have a desk with sun on screen you can use LCD as exp.

curved and whatnot is just fancy extras no one really needs to be honest. Especially if you wear glasses with a certain recipe is everything over 1920x1080 just a scam.

but if you dont play competitive shooters or have a need for graphics, any screen with 1ms reactiontime is good, so you dont feel input lag.

Here are my experiences on brands:
Acer - Died after about 3 years
Asus - Solid, I have a few, one of them was purchased at the same time as Acer and runs about the same amount of time; it's still kicking (8+ years)
BenQ - Solid no problems, sold it > 5 years old
LG - Died somewhere between 60-90 days, sent in for repair quoted ~10 days (took over 45)
MSI - Purchased to replace LG when it died; now about 1.5 years, too new for long-term opinion

Soaking the wood in epoxy resin will enormously strengthen the wood after its cured. I'd suggest using a slow curing epoxy to allow as much of to soak into the wood as possible before it cures.

My grandpa used to be a woodworker. I used to visit him a lot because he lived a few houses up the street and he'd give me his wood scraps for my little projects. He had a huge barn full of 19th century woodworking and logging antiques on the 2nd floor. On the 1st floor was the wood shop with machines, lumber storage and a small living space for himself. He made a lot of beautiful tables from 1950-1995 and lost a lot of eyesight so the quality of his work dropped off considerably after 1995. I used to collect black walnuts in the 1980s for him to use for homemade wood stain. He never got into using resins though.

My dad kind of fell into the woodworker business by necessity (he wanted to be a marine biologist), but he's really an artist at heart. He's done all sorts of creative projects, and even his cabinets and stuff are best when they're solving some weird problem. He's carved doors where the branches of the engraved trees are the handles, he built a desk that looks like a dragon, cast a giant bronze gecko attached to someone's chimney, all sorts of weird stuff. It's hard seeing him get older and not be able to work on projects that he's passionate about because he has to survive and being self-employed doesn't lend itself to retirement in the US.

Big agree, love a cracked window and rainpatters outside. But I got a screamin' neighbor boy (him special, no hate) and airplanes overhead so my only soothing hours tend to be midnight to around 4am. XD
