I'm enjoying it thus far. I don't think it's every survivalists cup of tea (it's not a survival game to be fair). But if you like games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, it's a very CUTE and pretty game. Super chill. One where you can leave it running.. and forget about it.. tab back to it.. do some stuff.. forget about it.. nothing bad happens at all. It's very ... cozy.
Sounds more like my wife or kids style game.
Though wife has been loving 7dtd lately, so maybe more my kids style game.
There's zero combat short of hunting squirrel and deer like creatures, and even then it's not really combat. you shoot and it either poof's or runs away. I'd say it's super safe for kids
Might give them a go at it then
You can chase them, to get the kill. π
oh and it has a super cute bug hunting/collecting system.
They have so many bugs to catch - just sad to see caterpillars aren't featured yet. π
Rather should say, they have a decent amount of variety at the moment...
Palia is great, but it feels like a demo. Only 2 zones.
inventory management can be way better. After fishing for 25 minutes my bags are full. Then it takes 30 minutes to cook the fish as you can only cook 1 recipe at the time w ith a campfire. The cooking at the stove is really fun to do with friends and alone.
I also don't like it that there aren't any catch up mechanics. Crops stop growing after 1 ingame day = 1 hour when offline. Wood and ore processing machine can only be fed with raw materials for like 1 hour worth.
Climbing and gliding of things is fun.
I think you can build more campfires..
yes you can
To be fair, it is an open beta. Soooo.. it feeling like a demo kind of makes sense.
I really hope it is an oldschool open beta and not a soft release. Though I don't expect any new zones or major changes. I've been in alpha and non of us have seen any other zones.
I can check but not sure what will come as outcome
Yeah, it is just the two regions right now.
im an adult
proceeds to buy a box of lucky charms only to pull out the marshmellows and throw out the other parts
i didnt say i was a responsible adult
You do realize you can buy the marshmellows in bulk on amazon?
I LOVE YOU
lol
i was gonna suggest making more of said item to speed up the process.. you can do this with most things... also not sure how you are filling up your bag with just 25 minutes of fishing... how many slots rows do you actually have cuz i haven't filled up after going through 100 worms
Also. the catch up mechanic is dependant on the machine. I overnight my worms and other things like silver bars which take 3 hours per bar. For example, I left this overnight and came back to it just now
very useful when trying to gain a bunch of glowworms
Huuurrrr... Shitposting π
Haha! Fertilizer! β€οΈ
Is there anyway to play/tryout the game?
Nope till ea
Causally playing skyrim on the switch lite... π©
One last meme before I log off for the night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuNHGGjgIpI

this is brilliant.

Baldurs gate, 4 people. Deep rock galactic, 4 people. It's time to rock and Stone these mindflayers
for those of you who play ark
we recently got snail games recent SEC filings
basically, ASA has to release by the end of october or snail games money goes bye bye
if you dont know, snail games is wildcards parent company as well as arks publisher
snail games collects game ips like trophies, and then abandons them... pretty much every game they are affiliated with besides ark is straight up abandonware
Good news all round then. π
yeah, I just hope wildcard can buy back their ip once snail goes bankrupt
π
thats what these devs get for charging for early access, for what is supposed to be a free to play game
dunno, free to play usually means other players pay for you.
What is an early adoption apckage different from a purchase from the cash-shop after launch? When early adoption packages comes with early access and some early adopters goodies at launch, I don't see why that should be a reason for negative reactions.
I hope the reactions are about the state of the game and not they had to pay pay for early access. Otherwise their parents should take their creditcards back.
my issue is more the absuridity of these prices
like bruv they dont even have a reputation yet and they be charging this
Laughs in Europa
I've got that box sitting right next to me... 20 years later.
Still cheaper than trying to hit top tier PTU on Star Citizen. π€£
yeah prices are hefty, but not truly crazy. Guess these prices are for the supporting type players
"Founder's" is bit of a hint.. lol
oh and all the attention we got during beta test of WoW classic; dude were did you get that panda
If/when my game dev gets going, I'll avoid such things.
I don't feed into the whole founder/Kickstarter thing.
if I like a game and the devs I sometimes get the founder pack
Haha.. man I devoted almost 17 years of my life (and 1 divorce) to that game and it's xpax. Blizzard probably has thousands of my dollars. My original 40 man raiding main has a /played of 1 year 6 months before I finally shelved that main (I had several mains).
I know using Kickstarter would be massive benefit to me, I'd be more concerned about what benefits the players themselves.
I played my main for a couple of years then quit. When i returned my for Legion I played every expx after for a month or 6
BFA being my favorite, I even changed my main race, from human to fat human π
I had a hard time with the expansions after WotLK. Luckily Classic and then Hardcore Classic came around to consume me..
When Classic came out with Burning Crusade Classic.. I saw the writing on the wall and realzied the original WoW game was where my heart was.. and that while Burning Crusade was a fantastic follow-up.. I didn't want to play past that.
understandable
oh for clarity, just because I had a hard time with them, didnt' mean I didn't play them. I paid for every expansion that they came out with including the very last one.. that I ended up never playing.
That's why I ended up not playing it.. when it launched is when I said goodbye to my subscription.
but I had a lot of fun in Classic reliving the memories of the original Retail 1.0.
Long live Brokentooth.
hope enshrouded can forge communities like wow vanilla
I think we're off to a good start. One of the reasons why I've taken a keen interest in helping out. (Pun not intended, but proudly used).
we thank you for your services
ill be honest, I somehow doubt that the communities will be remotely similar, since this isnt an mmo, closer to valheim in energy
that being said, who knows, maybe one day
Valheim was a good step, players wanted to team up and go out and explore
or work on building projects togeteher
i will say, i have had a bad experience with a voxel based mmo
I'm strongly considering avoiding microtransactions too... but, it's that or subscription to keep the lights on for an online multiplayer game. π
landmark?
I'd rather have subscriptions, tbh.
devs made bad choices and killed it
Landmark was terminated too soon
Ohh, Starbase cratered.
and Skysaga was also cancelled by the board
long live the collective
did not follow starbase
we are one, integrate or disintegrate
I was watching the development.. and had serious concerns.
that faction was a great community
was with them for literal years, still am I suppose
I'm often dubious when I don't see any thought towards Linux support, but that's very subjective.
Starbase was definitely a big NOPE in that respect.
the peer to peer hybrid system was neat
but their actual game design was a bit phooey
got over a thousand hours in CA and burned out
mostly in the ship designer
Ignore the bad quality, it's a photo of the screen of my switch.
Made a throne room in portal knights. I will probably add to it.
So @untold lynx I am going to start Valheim again! I hear they have patched the glitch which resets progress once world's reach a certain size on xbox. Hopefully this time I will make it to the iron age!
show us yer builds
Wooo!
You already know!
Night 1
I really should get a server, so I can resume live streaming.
You know... I have zero friends who play this.
(hint, hint) π
I forgot how scary chopping trees is
tree log hunting, the proper way to get boar meat
I forgot how many trees I needed to build a house π
All of them!!
That ain't even slightly burnt. lol
No flames, no smoke.... Go back and try again! π
The topping distribution is criminal
Certainly needs moar meats.
Starter house is almost done. I'm struggling to add detail. I'm still new to building in valheim. What do you think @untold lynx
That's pretty good.. Better than most starter homes.
Are you playing with mods?
No, about as vanilla as possible. I'm on xbox.
Oh
Ooh fancy, better than the world I made which got set back to day one. (A BAD XBOX BUG)
Was there update today with an valheim?
My PC got fried recently and waiting on new one to be delivered
Not from what I could tell - saw the devs posted a tweet just last week though that they're very close to adding Hildir's questline to the live servers.
Sounds cool
Mine looked like like this all the way across. Nothing fancy
pineapple, tomate sauce, and burnt crust
As Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph), and Jacob (Chris Perfetti) dig into some pizza, Gregory (Tyler James Williams) is notably not partaking -- he says he prefers Baltimore pizza. Jacob reveals that he drove all the way to Baltimore to get him pizza as a surprise, but Gregory has a surprise for them: He actually just doesn't...
extra crunchy and wet
Mine was crunch and dry and makes me wanna cry when I think about how bad it was.
The best part, where he dies inside and stares at the camera.
They've been releasing updates to the test build.
What?! π there's no way that pizza still doesn't taste like charcoal! Every ingredient has just been infused with it at that point.
I'm sure the residual metal shavings will just add to the flavor
Thx
And I bet their lungs just loved all of that dust π·
So, valheim addicts. A question about terrain. Does it reset after a while and will grass grow an manipulated terrain?
Nope.. It's static until something affects it.
Can you return it to its original state?
You can fill in holes, but the only way to properly reset it is with server commands... or certain mods.
Ahh, you're on Xbox, right?
Yeah
I don't think it's majorly different from PC in that respect.
Don't ask me about mod support. π
Interesting. Well. I will have a little bit of a dirt patch in from of my house for a while it think. "Well trodden" is what I will tell myself. Thanks for the answer! π
You can't fill in holes without mods sadly.
But you can use the hoe to raise ground and level.. but it won't be perfect usually.
The mod I have kept alive, OCD Heim, has a terrain restore tool that restores the terrain back to it's original look and feel, except for the metal node that might have been there.
You can always plant grass around it π won't be perfect but you know
Nah, they only drop to about 50%.. if I recall.
Which means they are easier to break if you get raided, or mobbed.
Awesome, that's what I seemed to have worked out. They seemed to be "weathered" essentially. I sort of chose a really wide part of the river to do this... fun π
Thanks for the clarification π
Yeah, water and rain will do that.
Putting a roof over it will protect against the rain, but not against sea water.
I found the rain part out with my house. Which I haven't gone to in a few days π
But I need a bridge
It's going well
I'm debating currently if I should make towers with a bridge higher up so boats can pass
Yeah, but you'll hit a cap on building height until you get stronger building parts.
Stone will help a lot, but there's even stronger stuff when you get iron and above.
There was an xbox bug that reset world's when they reached a certain size, I never got to iron
What if I build the tower like this? What am I on about. I don't even have a boat π«
Does anyone know a performant Valheim modpack? I've been eyeballing Krumpac but dunno if its worth registering for their beta?

Maybe I'll just do Valheim Plus and maybe Odin Architect and then just roll like that
Have you ever considered getting a gaming PC, De4d?
Hmm, if it wasn't for GPU being so expensive now maybe you could buy a PC of the same price of a console :/
The xbox series S is less than Β£300. I think I'd struggle to find a PC for that.
Plus, a controller is a lot more comfortable than than a keyboard
Finally got a roof on
You can use a controller on PCs, though. The main point would be building a PC for the price of a console. Some companies are selling consoles on a loss to guarantee market, so competing with that is hard (plus inflation, GPUs being expensive, etc)
Looking good!

Yup too much for me to spend. I would want a good one that I could run games decently. On top of that I would have to buy a ton of games again.
Guys, how's this game feel compare with Valheim ?
diffrent is we can make tunnels :3
So I can make a man 'cave' now
yep
I had some trophy-sized fish downstairs. I did try hanging them but they're blocking the view.
I put up a load in my kitchen. ^_^
Nice, I try to save chonk fish for display. They're too good to be cook π₯Ί
I have a massive stockpile of food stuffs, especially fish.
I enjoy fishing in Valheim, it's relaxing.
Yeah! the mechanic is quite fun too.
I think the stamina burn with fishing is still too aggressive.
Agreed. Had to eat tons of stamina food before I go fishing
Looks chilly, you need some walls to keep the wind out.
Beer and grilled meat are best with a little breeze xD
The survival game genre is missing a MMO where you can do everything that this game is showing, but in server with 10000 players. Really working together. Valheim is supper nice, but get boring very fast because it is basically a single player game. If this game want to last for longer, consider having repetead content that are nice to do with several players togehter. Also consider the PK system with bag loot. So players can kill others, but became a target for everybody else, same as in TIBIA.
Check out Pax Dei, that's the formula they are going for, I believe.
Woooow... Busy day at work and trying to update Valheim mods. With the exception of Auga all mine and Randy's mods are updated for Valheim Hildir's Request!
I just installed the update.. but I need to catch up on STO before I can check Valheim. π
I hope the ashlands will be out soon
I have my doubts
"Soon" TM.
you can just walk back to drag the fish onto shore
you dont get as much xp, but it helps with the bigger fish
Ohh, I know.. but really breaks the experience for me. Lol
I'm pretty sure that's what Chronicles of Elyria was trying to be until it exploded.
Anyone else hyped for Killing Floor 3?
Yes lol (my hours in kf1 and kf2)
What a refined taste, mmyes π§
that poor floor getting killed for 400 hours
Valheim Raft Mod
its a turtle
in other news.. i fucking hate that i just found out about enshrouded.. one day after the beta closes -.-
The castle
~~Magic ~~
I'm torn between cities skylines and valheim currently.
I'm currently playing BG3 with friends and a bit of DRG here and there
Ooo
Rock and Stone lads
Did I hear a Rock and Stone?
Driller and scout are my favorites. Here's one of my loadouts for the driller
I also love scout. I always play support classes and scout is such a unique way to design one
True!
I hope you're using the special powder oc for maximum fun
That's the oc that makes you go flying whenever you are mid air and shoot your shotgun
I do like that one, but some of the other secondary OCs are too fun to pass up lol, like cryo mines, fire bolts, explosive detonators, etc
True! All of those are favorites of mine too. But for me the freedom that special powder grants you is just chef's kiss
Driller with ice spear or snowball ocs for the cryo is also great fun. Together with the vampire perk and more damage on drills, you are a tough dwarf to take down
Why are there so many dead people in my city?! π« I have death row... a road just full of crematoriums. π
It's the cycle of life, I guess π
Is your sewage too close to your water intake?
oh hey craftopia
Bad news, this game is a stitch monster, good news, it's all stitched
A whatnow?
you built like a stitch monster
i swap between all of them, one of my fave loadouts is eggman engineer with the nuke overclock (fat boy)
for committing scout murder obviously
AC6 HYPEEEEEEEE
Played long time Minecraft. Atm I am playing the medieval "oldies but goldies" MMO "Wurm Online" from the same main designer. And ship building is one of my main tasks there, besides to rule a deed as a mayor.
But now it is high time for a new challenge, so that I am really eager to play Enshrouded, to build an Empire together with friends!
Yaaas I loved that one so much!
Its rly taking the game to another level. Unfortunately i canβt get it to work anymore since the last update π¦
Yet again ignore the poor quality...
Made me a lil blacksmith. It's really hot in there though.
I mean of the photos... I can't be bothered to go through the whole xbox screenshot process
Wait did they make a new version of robocraft? I remember playing this game forever ago and kinda liking it
I'm not serious about playing the game, half the time I'm just messing around with bots
Well I don't think many people realized they were an incredibly small team, realistically probably way too small to try and run a live service game.
No clue what their studio has been up to since then though
No, no... The choices they made for the game itself, not the running of.
The way they absolutely ham-fisted the changes to building stuff... was truly horrendous.
I didn't follow it all the way to the end, but I did follow it for a few years. As someone who has also worked on live service games in the past, I can say that often seemingly nonsensical decisions are a developers desperate attempt to fix some kind of fundamental issue that is killing a game. Usually they end up as pretty desperate gambles, and often don't work out.
From watching robocraft, the impression I got was that they probably had awful player retention, and it also seemed like they had awful f2p conversion rates (this is, convincing a free player to start spending money in the game). Because they were constantly changing core parts of the game and changing the monetization model.
Those kind of changes tend to piss existing players off, but chances are if they felt the need to make them the game was probably dying either way, so that was their attempt to save it.
Yeah I remember that I think, my hunch is that a lot of new players probably got bored and uninstalled at the point where they started building things, so they tried to oversimply it to fix that.
I was curious and actually found a very relevant interview that pretty much mimicked what I thought :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmMWCELeku8
This is the second of 3 videos of my interview with Mark Simmons, CEO of Freejam, the maker of Robocraft, Gamecraft, and CardLife. In this video, I ask Mark what he wants to say to Robocraft players who are angry about changes to the game.
Interview part 1 - We talk about the quarantine, educational aspects of Gamecraft, some coming features, ...
Really like your chest set up for early game
Thanks!
You solo ? Or have others ?
Solo. Although recently I got a friend to join. And I'm trying to get another.
im up to play if u ok with it.
Sure I don't mind. I'm on xbox, though.
Okay, so maybe I've been in a dark corner under a rock.
What's Starfield?
ah i only do pc... rips
π
It's crazy seeing what some people can do in cites skylines! Oh that's what I'm playing rn.
a space game getting developed by bethesda
kinda like no mans sky
I built a new town in Valheim today.
this can't be a real message
second this
How many trees died for this?? π
Just today? This looks like a month
My guess is he used nocost mode
Aw man... I used to play this... SO MUCH but there's no way to have a fun match with cool builds anymore. Unless ya got like 20 friends who also play.
Like, I made a floating ship, a flying face, Liger Zero, Toilet with a Railgun... so many cool and funny things that just did not keep up with the meta trash in EVERY LOBBY
Not a whole lot other than clearing the forest. Debug mode build.
Debug Mode, no cost.
So who is the creepy guy in the cloak to stares at me in valheim?
Yes
Waiting... for the perfect time... to take your SOUL!
That, my dear friend, would be Oden!
time to get back into factorio
I saw the announcement about the Space expansion... and.. I was both excited and not so excited, seeing how it's really going to be a watered down Space Exploration... but it's cool they are continuing to expand on it.
So, I ended up making an island base on valheim. It's actually quite nice, and so far can't be raided.
what this game?
Sunkenland
A good game?
It also have a movie π€π€£
A movie? Wow
When the sea level exceeds the preset value
Did not say the exact release date, enshrouded?
Oh I forgot put this for you
Sunkenland is an exciting post-apocalyptic survival and exploration game set in the near future when water covered most of the Earth. Explore sunken cities, scavenge resources and valuable technologies, build your base, trade, fight and survive.FeaturesDivingExplore the sunken skyscrapers, nuclear powerplants and subway tunnel. Gather resources,...
$15.99
2285
Oh I forgot put this for you
Oh, thank you very much!
one second..
Okey, I am not allowed access to this game...
Anyone have thoughts on this? My friend was playing it, and all I could htink of was Raft, which I loved.
I'll say this, valheim. Played it?
Raft, stranded deep
Maybe, Subnautica.
Interesting
I love games in the sea, by type Sea of thieves, raft, s.deep, Subnautica
In general, I love the sea.
But now I want to wait for the release of the game enshrouded...
Subnatuica is one of my most favorite single player games out there.
Love the story, the imagery, the sounds, the music.
And itβs really scary when youβre at the deepest bottom without a flashlight.π€£
Hmm interesting, looks right up my alley, thanks!
In hardcore survival mode
Sunkenland that is.
Emm I found a game it only have $3.74
I watched my friend play it.. It's SUPER rough.. like.. once you build, you can't move anything, and if you attempt to, it destroys it.. etc..
Call of Arms
Yeah I saw that in one of the reviews. Odd choice the Devs made or overlooked there.
It really funny play with friend
You can call a lot of soldier and chose one soldier play first person and join them
Like this
Playing this game is like playing Subnautica but without a bunch of weird aliens
@craggy egret Are you the same guy that made OCDHeim? or do you just share a name? if you are, may i DM you about an idea for it?
I am the one that took it over, yes. π I also have been known to do some other mods.
There is only one Vapok..
Except the creep that prevented me from getting vapok on discord and forcing to get vapok_.
but that's another story.
Do you mind the DM then? or is there a different discord we can discuss this on? i don't remember seeing you post on the main Valheim discord but i may have just missed it.
We share all of the servers.. lol
But that being said... Sure DM is fine..
No way someone took your name on purpose, right?
So.. if you peer in to my discord history, you'll see I've been a member of Discord since almost the beginning of time. I've had the Vapok moniker since I was 14 before any of this was even a thought. So largely, up until about 9 months ago when I started abandoning social media platforms, you could find me on Vapok.
But Discord.. oh discord. In the beginning. 5 characters was too short. I needed to be six. Same for some other platforms.. So .. then I made my name VapokRocks (because I'm _awesome), and that stuck.. Discord: VapokRocks#1337. Anyways... I didn't even think about Discord relaxing the rules... and sometime along the way.. someone took up "Vapok#2134".
When Discord announced they were doing the whole switching of user names and that the OLDEST of OLDEST users... would get to pick theirs first... I was all excited to get "vapok".
What they FAILED to mention, was that they locked ALL names in front of the hash sign, and reserved them for the people that had that.
So I tried despreately to secure "vapok" but I couldn't, because some knucklehead who joined in 2018, had "Vapok#2134" and even though I got to pick first.. I couldn't.
I was pissed.
I rate you add the other guy and do a coinflip for who gets the name seems fair tbh
Aww, man. That sucks
I didn't know Discord did that whole name reservation thing. I was just happy I got abadfeeling. I thought I was lucky, lol
Someone else got Marm, though to be fair I haven't been here since the start of time like Vapok
I"m looking forward to September 16th, 2023.
Playing 7 days to die and found a super large city seed
Am I filming an I Am Legend movie?π€
Pop Quiz: Does anyone know the date that Steam launched?
12 sept 2003
is that why you are looking forward to 16 sept xD
yeah, I get my 20 year badge!
damn thought you were maybe hinting a sneaky release date for early access xD
Nevah!
Good stuff. I got into Steam around TF2 Scout update. Early 2009 or so
yeah, I did competitive Day of Defeat and Counter Strike for a little while... but most of my efforts during that time was helping out working on MetaMod and AMX Mod, and running game servers for Skullz.
still insane that you almost have 20 years on steam xD you've almost had steam longer than I have been alive
I mean, Vapok is 83 years old π€·ββοΈ
Holy crap that's a VERY old Steam account, you made it 4 days after the platform released lol
Even my 12 year badge is kinda uncommon these days
Don't worry- I've had Sway#0001 since Nitro's introduction and discord somehow didn't let me have it. A huge letdown from them
My username on my personal account that I have had since sep 2015 was stolen by a user who made their account in late 2016
I am still bitter about that
If the change made any sense I wouldn't have cared as much, but it was so pointless and stupid and ended up confusing users even more than if they had just done nothing... Despite the supposed reason for the change being to make the platform "more intuitive"
I'll be bitter for some time, as Sway has been my username for the most part on most platforms since... 06? 07? But this pushed me to move to "Glad", which is the first four letters of my surname, making it a little more personal for me
I still struggle to understand why they did it. The reasons they gave made no sense, and I imagine it had to have also hurt their profits? A lot of people bought nitro specifically so they could choose their identifier
I didn't get Sway on twitch, but did manage to get Sweh
Only to begin being pestered by some DBD YouTuber who goes by Sweh
Agreed. It's just dumb imo
Going to need those seed numbers
someone took my username too, so i had to add a .

im the one with the steam url tho
124784125369541254
And I play 10240*10240
So you will see three city like that
I think you will find that seed name of j should appear
Thanks
I also added the dreaded .
Which is so much worse and more confusing than the identifiers lol, cause now you send that to people and they think it's just the end of a sentence
i put it in front of my username
Some people say that my seed doesn't work, so why can I use it? I haven't installed any mods
I think you know this
Worrying! Emergency power only. Oxygen protection offline.
I'm glad no one can steal my username. I usually try to think of names that no one would ever use.
too slow
Played Sunkenland for about 5 hours, If thats EA then Enshrouded has nothing to worry about when it goes EA.
Sunkenlands seemed more like an Alpha.
so... it sunked, aye?
Good premise, lots of potential. Still needs allot of work.
And that's exactly the kind of game EA is meant for. Not for such big fish like EPIC, RSI or BSG (just to name a few), which use EA to justify bugs. Unfortunately, the EA label has no standard and no control, which is why it is extremely misused, which in turn leads to players losing understanding for EA, which very often leads to inappropriate review bombing, because small games, that use the actual intended EA, do not work properly in some places or lack on content.
EA was actually intended as a kind of crowd funding. Pre-access to a very early version, which is then developed together with the community. And not as an excuse for putting content bloat ahead of working features.
Haven't even completed act 1 for baldurs gate yet and now starfield coming out and I am conflicted D:
Yeah it's going to be hard I think to find someone older... lol
and i didnt join Steam until i was 33 ><

Just been watching this valheim build. It's crazy what people can build, but this biome is perfect too! I will probably build this too! When I get better gear that is.
Hello fellow Vikings! New build headed your way, this time we're headed to the plains to build one of my favorite Lord of the Rings locations - Edoras, the Capital of Rohan! Hope you enjoy this one and appreciate the support!

Here's some more Steam Trivia... While Stam launched in September 2003, the first game to be offered on Steam didn't occur until November 2004, that game was Half-Life 2. The first mod released on Steam was for Day of Defeat. Steam was originally designed to be a patch platform for source engine games, and they had intentions of it having a paid subscription to access originally.
I'm only 11 years. 550xp
Alright.. so who's pumped up for Starfield and who's gettin' in early tonight?
I'm not too pumped, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the hype is.
I'm looking forward to playing Squad and Hell Let Loose on my Ryzen build. π
I'll probably buy starfield to bridge the time until enshrouded EA. But i cannot say that i am really hyped
thought its only releasing 6 sept?
If you pay 30 bucks extra you will get 5 days EA
I think you get a dlc as well
you do, you get some skins and OST
But yeah, i will wait five days and see gameplay before paying 70 bucks. And IF i like it, i may buy the dlc
thats still mad expensive for 5 extra days and a dlc xD
Nah, that won't happen for EAπ€
hope not xD
HLL is such a great game! Nice to see other people who play it around here
Well, I'll definitely play it when my main rig can do more than 15FPS. π
Yeah... It's a poorly optimized game :/
Well, I don't think that's quite fair..
There's only so much you can do for performance on a Xeon X5470, 8GB DDR2 and a 4GB 1050 Ti. π
Oh wow. Yeah, not many games will run well on that machine
But, regardless, HLL is notoriously stuttery and FPS often gets to bellow 60 on low to mid specs
Quake 2 update runs like a badass! π
I play a lot of STO and SWTOR, both run really good.. but they are old.
Really!?
Ya, rly.
STO launched in 2010
Fnaar!
Ooof
Ok.. Quake 2 on an RTX 2060 is crazy. π
I don't want to speak too broadly about another dev's games on this discord, but if anyone is super curious about my experience in Starfield tonight, shoot me a dm or check my profile out for my other discord.
Dunno, Starfield is a bit of a weird one for me...
At first I was like.. "OOHHHH! Space RPG.. "
But then the game was like.. "Single-player only."
And I was like.. "kthxbai."
Not denying it looks great, but solo? Hard pass for me.
I feel that, I've been wanting multiplayer mostly lately. Gimme a good space game with a crew where we fly around and do missions together.
Haaaavvvvee you met No Man's Sky!
Honestly, after playing Starfield last night.. I reinstalled No Man's Sky.
It's not space but you might like barotrauma
I don't really know of many space games where you actually play in a crew though
I can't play NMS, I have too much game development experience so I "See" the systems underlying the procedural generation and it make the entire game super boring for me now.
Or maybe my brain just picks up on the patterns that NMS creates too easily or something, I dunno
nms is quite repetitive yeah
It's a damn shame. Give me Sea of Thieves in spaaaaaaace.
Star citizen is probably the closest you'll get if you have a nasa pc that can actually run it
Elite Dangerous technically has crews, but because the game isn't really built around it, it feels like you're better off just playing "solo together" like a lot of games that support crews
It's something I think you have to design the experience around to really get the value out of.
Yeah I loved ED but the multicrew feature was a bit underwhelming
I feel like ED really nails the "low sci-fi" aspect of space games in a way that is cool. How you have to pilot your ship, worry about expenses, all of that is really well done. But playing with your friends isn't a very good experience.
Yep, it sorta ends up being a singleplayer experience disguised as an mmo lol
but I still loved it
See... Space Engineers should have been good for that, but it's always been stuck as a sandbox game.
Unfortunately that's how a lot of multiplayer games are.
For some reason we're developing MMOs that don't include dynamic social interactions
I don't see that will ever improve, considering they are dismissive of ancient bugs.
Even devotedly social games like Palia don't really give you much reason to engage with other players in a meaningful way. Like my friends can come to my farm and help me do it, but I can only have 9 farm plots that take me 30 seconds to harvest, so what's the point?
Albion definitely encourages this, but it's also a game that's extremely difficult to play if you're not able to dedicate a fair bit of time to it.
It's a game I love but never play, because full time job + real life hobbies just doesn't give me enough time for it
Sounds about right. Albion is also a game that never felt super friendly to small group play. I have 3-6 regular gaming friends that I do stuff with, I don't have the energy to engage with a giant guild just so I can make progress
It's actually much better for that now, they've given quite a bit of content for smaller groups to engage with. I was never part of guilds that were bigger than 1-200. I hated the mega guilds because it just felt like you were part of an ant colony or something
Yeah, I hear they are working on that... but, we'll see what falls out.
That's good, I haven't really looked at it in a while. I agree about mega guilds. Designing a game to be rewarding for both small groups and big zergs is a super big challenge though.
My favorite genre of game for socialization that never seems to work out is the "mmo roguelite" genre. Realm of the mad god, Survived By, and SteamBirds Alliance were all incredibly social and had such positive communities.
Unfortunately the second 2 never found success and shut down pretty quickly after launch, and rotmg has gotten a bit uh... mobile gamey.
It's a fantastic game if you can stomach the payment model though
I'm just hoping I can get my game project off the ground. π
Finished Armored Core 6, I was hoping it would tide me over a bit more during the wait for this game.
It's a really good game, I need to play it some more
@unreal granite You mean Dark and Darker? My group has been playing a TON of it and it's so damn fun
I'd say it's worth it. The court case in korea is probably gonna take at least another 6 months, and you'll def get your $35 worth out of it by then
I expect they will produce some kind of puzzles that require multiple players to proceed, kinda like 2 people need to stand on switches to open a door so a third can walk through.
Even if they lose you'll get plenty of playtime, but obviously here's hoping they win. It got tossed in the US, so we might even see it come back t steam.
only issue is that they're going to S Korea where Nexxon operates from
π€·ββοΈ That's also where IM is based, so it makes sense for it to be handled there
Finally done with my temple, took six days...
how do you keep the drakes from nuking it down?
Valheim now has a passive mob setting.
And you farmed all those resources during that 6 days? Impressive π
fishing time
Nah, I started doing that once on my strictly survival server takes way too long! Might be better now that you can turn up the resource drop rate but that would take months probably still.
The inventory management in Starfield is the worst implementation I've ever seen.
I knew Bethesda was not the best at inventory, but this is a step back even by their standards
The entire system and UI needs to be overhauled by mods to even be functional for me.
Like a complete redo.
Should see my modded fallout 4 π no way i could ever play fallout 4 vanilla... hha
It was to be expected
The space combat is clunky. And forget about it if you thought this was a Space Sim. Go play No Man's sky for that. This is a fast travel Mario map game where you just fast travel, see the same ship animation taking off every time, and the only "exploration" is walking around planets.
FPS combat is OK, not bad, but not a Counter Strike FPS.
I remember there was an open city mod for skyrim we can only dream right still I agree landing and taking of should have been like no mans sky
Body movements are cheap, repeatitive and emotionless
Dialog is... Boring.
When they do the head turning and the eyes are staring at you π
Sorry, i don't want to talk bad but I had a very unfun time in it the past two nights.
Pc or?
PC/Mouse/Keyboard. I think it might be optimized for controller, but I don't like controllers
I did one stream last night on Kick.com. for about an hour. It's showcasing my 3rd-5th hours of playing it.
I'm reading reports that if you can make it past 20-30 hours, the game gets better. But that's too much time to expect me to be hooked when I play for 2-3 hours a night
Yeah I also installed stuff like dlss etc. Reshades so games looks better. Cant wait for the texture mods. Hair mods body mods weapon etc as I said its gonna be insane. But vanilla is rough
Pc is a 3080. I910k 64 ram so got a good system to run this on ultra + enhanced mods
Might go for a 4080 soon.
Save the money and go for the 4090. You'll thank me
ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition 24GB GDDR6X grafische kaart
Yeah saw it but daaym
I mean, even the Nvidia Editions are good.
You got that one?
My friend does. I went over to play various games on it, and it ran amazing
It's definitely worth it. I'm kind of looking at my 3080Ti and going... Hmmmm
Tbh. If Enshrouded release now Id be playing that instead π
Still a good card thi
I have many fun hours on this 3080 ray tracing.
Oh my gosh the entire time I was playing Starfield the past two nights, my bumper sticker read: "I'd rather be Enshrouded"
I build it myself on a budget of 3000 euro
Yeah I build all my stuff too
I got my card at the height of the GPU drought and paid MSRP simply because I slept in a parking lot at a store 80 miles away just to be one of the first in line to get one of a limited quantity. They had 49 to sell, and I was #47 in line. 2000+ people showed up by the time the store opened
Next pc im gonna go for a budget of 5000.
Nice dedication ππ
Yeah the building is just so fun!
It would be a significant improvement to your setup if you changed the background to the picture of an asian small clawed otter!
Lol.. that's actually the Windows Dynamic Backgrounds app.
Every day I get a new high resolution background from random sources.
well then i guess a squirrel is as cute as it gets π
Lol
Jeez what is even going on there π€£ I like plain and simple.
Magic! πͺ: β¨ πͺ
your a streamer huh
is it your room or did your wife stuff you with the kids? I see a spiderman toy some other toys stuff in the drawer
It's the attic.. lol.. so the other side of the room is our Lego Building Workshop and misc toys. Hehe. So I have one side of it which is where my office is, and the other side is the play area
O so your a legobuilder
Used to be crazy about it in my teens
whats your favourite model?
yea we have a show here called master lego builder
this is like 26 years ago. I just played with it like the sets
I have all but 2 of the Main Street Creator sets built, which I really like those. And I have the R2D2 built, and have a couple different planes and one of the City Trains.
But my favorite build is actually the Voltron Lions. It just hit me. That was my cartoon growing up as a kid, and I enjoyed every minute building it.
I have two projects in progress at the moment: Classic Nintendo with TV and the Limited Edition Millennium Falcon (the largest set!)
the millenium falcon is a blast! my wife gave it to me for my last birthday π
Yeah, i am not that far. Mostly because we realized we didn't have a good spot to display it
yeah we had to rearrange quite some decorations for it. i am just glad my wife is a big star wars fan- or else i would not have been able to display it in the living room. took me about 24 h to finish it if i remember correctly. have fun with it! π

BORED!!!!!
BG3?
I mean.. I am curing boredom by updating my Valheim mod to add some more functionality to Adventure Backpacks.. but that's pretty boring in and of itself. But yeah.. the boredom is real.
see what happens when I get bored? new magazine..new newspaper...new news video clip...started international protest in gaming...
Porco is bored! We're getting extra content from the press!
AAAAAAAAAAH!
look what you made me do....
That's a lot of raiding
It a city mod
I found a new NPC selling clothes in the Black Forest
I got mine at the same time because i had a buddy who was a PC builder at microcenter. Owed me a favor and risked his job to pull it off the truck for me... LOL!
CS2 is incredible and has so many cool details! I played for the first time and LOVE the new upgrades, this is huge. Let's play and test all the new stuff including CS2 Smokes and Inferno. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.
To be fair jack thinks every game is amazing lol
The smoke tech is quite cool though, I hope more games start doing that. I am sick of playing FPS games where the smokes desync on different people's clients and you get killed by someone you can't see
this lol
I like Jack but it seems he has yet to play a bad game
"This game is the next big thing!"
Game announces it's shutting down 6 months later
Love him though he's a nice guy
did he say that with TCF?
I think I just reserve a special place in my heart for him, Frankie, and Sada- they were truly pioneers of the gaming YT industry
well, pioneers of the survival genre in a sense
Yeah and he just seems like a genuinely nice dude who loves games, I know devs that have worked with him
yes, so it seems....
I did just jettison a rare space helmet on accident, though. My frustration is through the roof currently
really looking at that game....
Here is mod
you done any Starfield modding Vapok? or just playing it?
Only modding happening right now is bitmap/image changing and some graphic driver changes.
They haven't released Creative Engine 2 Kit yet.
But I have a lot of mods I want to make for it as soon as they release it.
I'm on their Modding Discord and paying attention to the team there.
Looking forward to your take on the "UI Overhaul" mod π
Well, it'll start with me just adding the weight of each category so that I can see how much weight is in it.
Here's more if my rambling from a DM last night.
A couple things.. one. I play on mouse, keyboard, and a 32:9 aspect ratio super ultra wide monitor (the game forces me into 21:9 aspect.
- The inventory is a complete full screen take over, that requires several clicks in order to see and peer into inventory. This wastes time.
- Inventory management, and having to scroll through a vertical list of blocky boxes that are not space optimized, is mind wrecking.
- Inventory transfering between minions is convulted and tricky. I often want to see what's in my inventory before I transfer, requiring me to have to swap back and forth, which is like 5 key strokes.
- When trasnfer, the action and UI is identical to when I'm equiping or unequiping, and I often forget that i'm transfer, and want to equip something, only to have it get transferred to the minion. So then I have to do multiple key clicks to get that item back into my inventory.. then 4 clicks to get out of the inventory screen, then 4 clicks to get back into inventory screen where that item was.. just to equip it.
I've been playing unmodded so far, but just added some UI stuff to try
yeah, it is definitely click heavy
My options tonight:
- Play Starfield
- Play Space Base
- Mod Valheim
And I really don't want to play Starfield... lol
maybe i'll buy Desynced... and try that.
desynced is amazing
Can confirm, The Star UI on nexus for Starfield is lightyears better.
Looks like somoene has used the older generation tools to mod in the better ui
YA found a new Swamp
You will have to wait until they go on sale, unfortunately. But they are relatively cheap when they do.
But it is on Sale already.
Legendary Edition (incl all DLCs) is ~30β¬ at any key seller ...which is okay I guess (according to the playtime to get out of this)
Looks kijda bad
Its 150 the original price and im pretty sure you dont event get x2 content
I still like play Craftopia
Kevin the thief, but his running is super buggy, like a psycho
I wanted carftopia to be a new fun game to play with friends. But when I played it (ages ago now) it would crash every time I tried to go to the second island. There wasn't much to do on the first island.
so i sat down and played Desynced for a while last night.. What an interesting, complex, chillaxing game.
It most closely resembles Factorio in terms of game play loops, but where Factorio took logic systems and stopped at being able to add and compare numbers for networks, Desync expands and turns their logic system into a full blown programming language.
No lie I just played Wllace and Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit and it was probably one of the better games i've played this year
I heard that was a good game
The survival game genre is missing a MMO where you can do everything that this game is showing, but in server with 10000 players. Really working together. Valheim is supper nice, but get boring very fast because it is basically a single player game. If this game want to last for longer, consider having repetead content that are nice to do with several players togehter. Also consider the PK system with bag loot. So players can kill others, but became a target for everybody else, same as in TIBIA.
I've mentioned before that NewWorld could've been that... add in base building....
the world does need a GOOD voxel building mmo social game.....like Landmark....
New World basicly had base and townbuilding in the first closed alpha π But they removed it due to a huge amount of players who didn't like PvP games or survival games and yet signed up for such a game and got lucky to get invited (since amazon ran the route, they prefer to invite randomly instead of people who actually like that genre and got experience).
Basicly the major part of closed alpha testers for a survival-pvp-crafting-mmorpg have been pve-themepark-players.... and they cried a lot about pvp in this pvp game and basebuilding in a survival game, so amazon even removed that and made it only optional through factions and build fixed towns for everyone π
bringing back the feels going from the playtest to launch, slowly making a great genre game into a cash grab for the masses.
so looking at 'Teardown' on Steam at the moment....voxel destruction at its best it seems. Thinking of picking it up.
Teardown looks so much fun!!
Took a peak, it do look neat.
Yea I also lost an entire questline because apparently being a floor above someone counts as being adjacent.
oh yes I was in a workshop and the Steel Watch uuh I guess heard the massive explosion and decided to get involved??
big honking metal goon just going STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM
no thanks
Yea I burned someone alive with flaming sphere when they were a floor below me
I was like:
"I'm in turn based mode, why is something taking fire damage every second???"
"Oh well, probably not an entire questline literally burning to ash"
oof
Still, flaming sphere is in my top 5 spells for bg3
Cuz enemies keep trying to attack the bol. Even tho it's resistant to almost everything and for some reason can dodge a lot of attacks with its ac
I find it disappointing in terms of the damage output, but before Act 3 it was alright-ish, especially to draw attacks away from my group
It's not about the damage output tho, it's a mobile door/ladder blocker that can resist damage

Anybody tried sunkenland yet?
I've watched some videos on it, feels like it need some more time to cook. The UI is... upsetting
It's super rough. Has some promise, as someone that really liked Raft.
It definitely needs some more time, but itβs pretty promising.
Raft I really couldnβt get into
But like.. you can't move things once built.. so to move decoration that you got from your travels that you can't craft... and you set it down... you can't move it .. ever. without destroying it, and losing it.
Very true thatβs a little annoying
That needs to become a staple in survival games. Let us just move things around in our base.
If you didn't like Raft.... this might not be a game for you. It's got some elements of Raft and Subnautica to it.
Ive been playing it. It feels more engaging to me then raft did.
Maybe I just didnβt get far enough into raft
Well, the difference is that there's less water.. and more islands (putting it in Raft terms).
Exactly
Raft had a great story to it.. and very much more immersive and engaging once you got further along.
I haven't looked into it much but watching the trailer I did love all the sunken city aesthetic
Love the feel of waterworld to it
I've tinkered in Sunkenland with a couple buddies. It's still in its infancy. Lots of very rough edges. There's issues with non-public servers being accessed by ne'er-do-wells. They were causing a ruckus and spawning so many boats that the server just refuses to run.
But, outside of the rough edges and security breaches, it's a decent little survival game.
Debating picking up Valheim while I wait for this game to drop, I hear there's some similarities
valheim is amazing tbh. just not the most... visually stunning game
Valheim is amazing. If you like survival games, it's a pretty safe bet
If you donβt mind a little pixelated graphics and a bit clunky combat itβs a lot of fun. You can build some cool stuff in that game.
Yes, Porco dives deep into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre game.
Well it is another game! π

nope.. wont personaly buy SF. again.. after what BGS did to my waterfall camp in 76. I will not buy anything from BGS again.
the day BGS gives the players the ability to host our OWN servers. I refuse to support them.
Valheim is def amazing
Had it in my cart, then it dropped by 40% so I picked it up. It seems a bit brutal at times...
And the food system is a bit odd to me
And the whole monsters don't go away...ever? Am I supposed to just quit?
start a new world when being corpse camped?
Like, TBH I'm really starting to hate this game
2 trolls on my body right now, hadn't seen a single one until then, showed up behind me in some kind of raid right after I killed the deer thing
how fun, things that are faster than you that corpse camp and one shot your naked ass
At this rate it's gonna be a game I cannot recommend
valheim is demanding, i have to admit that. as soon as you figure out the parrying and dodging it gets way easier.
i'd offer help getting back your stuff, but i can't play with one hand :/
quite literally at times
no, thats just bad luck :/
are building in or close to the black forest?
are there pines or firs close by??
nope
looks happy to me
except the 2 bodies
not sure which one I want either...
and a boar showed up
since the 2 trolls were too easy
i wish i could help, but my mouse hand is in a cast :/
maybe there is another valheim pro here to help?
once my friend and I sailed for a very long time around the world, and landed because of a storm. We landed in a spot that has monsters that are so strong you can't even imagine how much you're gonna hate them
we died to them and lost not only our stuff, but also the ship that took us halfway across the map to get there

Fulings or Seekers?
it took having another friend to escort us and kite the monsters around the map for us to retrieve our equipment
Deathsquitoes
yeah... those cost me my first two karves
same here
even with a friend in tow, that first time coming across those pesky flying needle butts was oh boy... an experience and a half
i think they got nerved a little since then. and to be fair: when wearing iron armor and eating swamp tier food they are only a nuisance
yeah, they're definitely easier to deal with now than back when they were first added

TL;DW: Unity will start to charge developers per installation. Including demos
Makes me even more happy that Enshrouded is built on a custom engine, lol
I see we get our news from the same source π€£
I'm not even subscribed to Asmon. YouTube just really likes recommending his content to me, lol
Good to see you expanding your habitat, btw @somber valley
No no, I only came here because you mentioned you posted about this.
I was 2 minutes late π¦
Enjoy your stay, we have cookies and tea
there is no world in which Unity don't have to walk back most of the nonsense they've just published in short order
Yea, always gotta bring portal resources if sailing long distances
we died before we could build it
Shuuuucks
Main thing that confused me about that change is that, even assuming greed, I still can't make sense of it. Unity takes a 0% royalty fee on all profits made with their software, vs an engine like Unreal which takes 5% royalties off of all profits beyond 1M.
I'm very confused that Unity decided to do this weird nonsensical policy before they did any royalties, even just a 1% royalty would have probably been more profitable than this change, and I don't think anybody would have complained because that's pretty reasonable.
Been there.
Unity isn't worried about being reasonable, they're worried about
I mean like I said even assuming they want that cash-money, Unreals business model is waaaay more profitable than this, and it pisses a lot less developers off lol
I had the opposite issue,
We had a portal and I destroyed it cuz my portal gazebo was getting clogged.
One person's save got Corrupted and respawned back on the wrong side of the portal. (Where there no longer ger was one) and we had to have a 4.5hour adventure just to save them, which inevitably caused them to not want to play anymore and thr group kinda just stopped playing all together shortly after
I agree. But as Asmon states in one point in the video, their public trust is not the same now. Developers will reconsider doing business with a company that has that level of asinine ideas
Especially with how good Unreal/epic has been to small developers, it's difficult to even come up with reasons to prefer unity at this point honestly, other than familiarity with the software.
Agreed. It's completely nonsensical. There has been a lot of commends about their CEO having a track record of dumb decisions even before he was working on Unity
that's EA's old CEO and as a former EA employee I will not be commenting further
Or if you are a stubborn Russian dev, wink wink
Well I feel for any devs who already have used it, it's not exactly a very feasible project to port a game in its entirety from unity to unreal (or any other engine for that matter)
Hahahahahahaha got ya
I mean I am sure Genshin Impact is not very happy with this change either lmao, which honestly they might have been the main target of the change because they have over 2 billion downloads
Ouch
They just want to make money their own way. Without copying methods other companies use.
shame the good ideas were already taken
Kek
It's just a creative way to do business, right?
I don't think Unreal has a patent on charging royalties π
Come on, guys. Creativeness is always good /s
Ah but - it's not based on profit but based on revenue. So a game could be over the unity threshold on revenue but actually in the red....particularly after you include the unity fee per download. This reminds me of the Wizard's of the Coast/Hasbro playbook earlier this year. They were also based on revenue and targeted things promoted and raising funding on Kickstarter in particular. That funding then became part of the revenue for the creator and part of the charging algorithm. I imagine unity would be the same. Hasbro backed off so it will be interesting to see what unity do.
What's weird is that unity actually doesn't take any revenue cut whatsoever, and neither does this new policy. Which is incredibly odd because it wouldn't be that unusual if they did, it's something the Unreal engine already does (5 percent). This new policy is based strictly on installs, which might not actually correlate to revenue.
Yes but the charging starts based on revenue. Then the actual fees paid is based on installs..........I agree the correlation is very ..um..vague. As a stats person I am not impressed lol.
Yeah their pricing model is very odd honestly. It's very costly for small devs and it nets them an incredibly low percentage of profits from big projects. Compared to Unreal whose licensing fees are almost 4 times lower, and is even completely free to small devs, but then starts taking a decent cut (5 percent) on large scale projects. Which seems like a more logical setup to me
My reading would be - hey you raised $300k on kickstarter to make your game - congrats you now get charged the unity fee per install as you have generated over $200k in revenue........

I want to just go home and play Soul Calibur VI

https://blog.unity.com/news/open-letter-on-runtime-fee
Talk about a complete reversal... I don't think this stops developers from second guessing using Unity over UE5, but at least stops the bleeding immedaitely. What I find interesting is if you want to avoid the fee just don't use 2024 unity or later.. Making me feel like there aren't going to be many indie games developed on Unity 2024 anytime soon.
I think the damage is already done.
The silly thing, at least from what I've heard within the industry (rumors mostly), is that their original goal was never even to target indie devs in the first place. The changes were mostly targeted at massive successful free to play games, like genshin impact, mobile games (unity is a very popular mobile engine), etc.
But the change and documentation were so incredibly poorly implemented that it did not come across that way at all and created this whole PR nightmare.
Just a bit shocking to me that something like this could make it to live without anybody being like "hey uh, can we make some tweaks to this first?"
we find a new device scorce
not a pc version much newest
should not worry to much
In this video I showcase all of the Druid Wildshape forms in the Circle of the Moon subclass in Baldur's Gate 3. From a Bear, to a Panther, to even a dinosaur!

@finite saffron
Yeah I'm a huge fan of shapeshifting abilities in games :) I'm also excited for the new druid forms coming in Path of Exile 2.
We haven't revealed anything like that for our game yet, but we definitely plan on adding a lot more spells to the game in the future!
Yeah good point, it's been a while since I've seen any games feature gryphons
world of warcraft was one has it
other game zero
satisfy if people can see them again they be hyped for sure of it
The griffin is my favorite tame in Ark but you have to go through all the annoying tedious stuff to get it such as installing and playing Ark in the first place.
ah yea they added there to forgot Ark did have griffin
The last time I saw one was in the Witcher 3
Heyy, and welcome!
Please use English, thank you
Yoo se espaΓ±ol no se ingles
you can use translate google is ok translate good for ya @fresh swan
there are griffins in dragons dogma as well
Dragon's Dogma is such a cool game. I'm glad they are making a sequel
im glad i grabbed DDDA a few months ago, was fun
also looking forward to the sequel
What class did you play?
i ended up playing assassin for a big part of it
but i also did warrior and fighter
and a bit of the basic mage
Cool. People keep suggesting magic archer. I gotta try it at some point
I played wizard. I can tell you that casting times are no joke
But the spells are super powerful
Hahaha
blinded me every time it went off
The only criticism I have of DD is how faded their color palette is and how inventory management can be painful sometimes. The first one is solved with reshade, so no biggie
i hope theres a good sword and magic class in the next game, magick knight i tried playing without the shield lol
i was able to unlock the class yet didnt have a magic shield
yeah the palette is rather faded
the inventory is a pain too
so many times i couldnt find the item i wanted in it even though i knew i had it
it was funny being a lightweight character in the windy areas
having to sprint or you cant move ahead

dragons dogma is on sale on steam for a couple more days too if anyone is interested
They're making a sequel??
Yes sir. And there are gameplay videos out already
Oh damn!
Making me want to play CE again. But I dislike what it has become
So I thought that Factorio with Space Exploration and Krastorio2 mods made one complex game. Apparently Factorio with the Pyblock mod... topped it. I spent 2 hours in that mod yesterday with no understanding on how to progress.
I find it funny how people are so different when it comes to game preferences. Like.. I took a look at BG3 and went.. "Nah.." Not my thing. But other games I am absolutely obsessive with.
I like how it weaves story and gameplay and general; exploration. It's a straight up RPG, but it feels very free-form in a way (especially in the last area, Baldur's Gate, which has a lot fewer combat encounters unless you actively look for trouble)
want to do big story things? You can progress the main quests.
wanna mess some people up? Just wander into a cave or an enemy camp or whatever.
wanna play dress up? Yes, here are 38 wardrobes for you to pilfer and steal from, to put your characters in the nicest outfits
a little bit of everything for everyone
or rather, a great deal of everything for everyone
I think it's less the RPG aspect as it it the mechanics of the game itself. Like I spent 17 years with World of Warcraft... loved that game.. but the movement and approach that BG3 took, was not my favorite. Similar issue with Diablo IV... I just couldn't get into the game.. I wanted to.. I wanted to like it.. but yeah meh.
oh yeah while it has some theme park aspects I guess? It is not an MMO by any stretch of the imagination
Same thing with Starfield.. I had set a high bar apparently on what I thought Starfield was going to be.. and it failed on every level for me.
that's what you get for hyping yourself up!!
But
