I didn't like the chest and it was same stats as Archmage anyway. But my helm gloves and boots are all Elder. I think they go with the Archmage chest pretty well

I'm not sure why those rocks show up so often, have you tried flower soil? It's pure green but does obviously have flowers on it ( unless you turn off foliage in graphics settings )

ive heard that it depends on where you're building, like different biomes have different appearances dependant on where you are. my only suggestion is maybe it will be different if you make the dirt deeper? like 2 or 3 layers thick instead of just one maybe?

You can find it in the small settlement just to the left of the first spire, outside the ruined church

Sorry I meant overhang, the roof should stick out another couple of blocks so that it can cast shadow on the building. It's how most houses are built. You have some stone overhang on the wall, but no roof overhang:

Yeah if you use the sloped roof template just extend your roof down a couple blocks, and overhand a couple blocks, and see how it looks then. I have no idea how foliage appears on walls I think people have a technique to use but it's still random and takes time.

Connection between the summit and nimbus is a really nice contrast, the 200k building blocks also makes me feel much better about only being 70k deep into my own solo project, top tier stuff. Dread the day you start with full decor...so much farming.

I haven't started making any fancy designs yet, as I'm working through the content, but I'm slowly getting farming set up. There's a mushroom farm in a basement, plus a seedling greenhouse. Eventually there will be a plot for each plant type outside, and then I can start decorating. Having blocks of farm soil beside each seedbed makes it easier to go to the right one for getting new seedlings.

Well, you could always run golden chests/sarcophagi and hope for a legendary version of that staff.
My personal suggestion is to run the three indicated spots repeatedly. Slap an altar near there, do the left golden chest (above), the tomb (golden sarcophagi + 3-ish silver chests), and do the golden chest in the oasis on the right at the third indicated location.
Return to menu, load game, repeat

Enshrouded ALREADY has arches in the game, even if they're 3D Assets. All the Devs need to do is allow us to craft said Assets in each of the 31 Block types and we're golden. Give us a 2m and 4m option.

There is a blockset called Highly-Polished Stone, the interior flooring of it looks a bit like marble. It's not super shiny but it is one of the cleaner and brighter sets in the game. It's found by || defeating then looting the Scav Matron at Ocean's Heart.||

I have a question regarding Items. I play in German and I ask myself if there are any translation issues or if it is on purpose. I have a staff with +1 to max mana. And it gives only +1 to max mana. What ius this fore? Besides this, I also found melee weapons with +1 to max life.

May I get some ideas from you guys once more. So basically I'm working on this workshopish area (picture 2 & 3) but the grass here feels odd is there a way to have like brown colored dirt somehow?

Also anything interesting to add in this place? I wanted to build like a stable but it felt weird to have a place for something that doesn't exist in the game yet.

Easiest way for dirt and stone I can think of is to get to either a mountain or a high hill, build an altar and use the terrain option with the hammer to keep digging down for like 10min
I had tons by then, teleport back up, remove the altar so the area will reset after awhile and repeat in another section

Basically run that way, take a flying leap off the cliff, glide most of way to mine, then once you're done mining salt, you can go up the hills NE of the mine and it comes out of the Shroud so you can teleport home.

I use wooden arrows because the mats are easy. the higher top end of 35 damage hits harder with the surprise attacks and backstab. if you look at the upgrade perks on the hunter's bow it is much better for that.

your notes have a lot of overlap with my notes heh.

A lot of the skill tree is haphazard; for instance, the major Flame Buff +damage skill node is locked beind the end of the HEALER tree, behind an expensive meme skill that boils down to "this is only useful and effective if i screw up."

likewise, the melee +damage flame buff is locked behind 2h specialization, which is subpar at present (but still fun and i use it now and then. HAMMER TIME) and there's no similar end of tree bonus for the Warrior, who is literally in the middle of nowhere between the Tank and Barb trees.

and while as you note there is no point to going healer spec - let alone healer GEAR - anyone who dips into the healer tree as a secondary becomes a tiny god and damned hard to kill unless you, like, have a coughing fit while fighting a boss lol

Healers only really make sense in a Multiplayer setting, for example i in some cases use The Chain Heal to heal our Tank that takes aggro when their health drops (we're 3 people), but i am not a dedicated healer either. The Water Aura was also so heavily nerfed that i am considering redoing my levels and excluding Water Aura to save some points

I am thinking that some items that share the same graphic are the lower quality version. Like the enflamed sword and the extinguished sword, and these two axes. You probably will not see a sun axe above rare quality. I know the Lightforged axe can be found as a Legendary. I just haven't got one yet.

Yeah, I agree. But some weapons, like the hunters bow, I haven't seen an epic of legendary version of, and not a similar stat bow. Some just have new names at higher quality. Some just go away and have no upgrade. Like the Metalstar Mace that I have never seen above common.

The wolf snarl long bow, I have at legendary and use it for the higher top damage.

I have, the wolf snarl is the only legendary I have seen with the 35 damage and 1.0 second draw speed. I play a ranger archer build. and the surprise attack and backstab damages that first strike can be brutal with a higher top end.

but seriously this weapon demonstrates everything wrong with the current itemization and skill trees. Oh you started down warrior branches? good luck choosing slash, blunt, or piercing nodes to traverse. meanwhile barbarian says "hammer time, done"

"+10% damtype / +20% damtype" is not a compelling choice, it's just "got a new weapon need to respec again to match its main damage yawn." A better option for those nodes would be something like: slashing has a 10% chance per hit to apply a bleed, blunt does increased stunbar, piercing ignores 20% of target's armor.

and stop splitting weapons up into 2-4 equal damage types lol, that's not really how it works anyway

Strange bug, when i add a custom marker my ancient spire tp moves over to said marker, disabling the ability to fast travel to it while using the custom marker.

the camera has definitely come in handy when testing the games max explosion radius. Fun fact, the game has a hard cap radius of 50 on explosions. The game really doesnt like it when you bypass it to 100 😛

There are still quite a few things to figure out but this should be a fun thing to release once i get it working nicely. I want to see people get even crazier with their builds.

Biggest set back is that currently curtain blocks are only removable via the undo function. I need to dig deeper to find what makes them indestructable and remove that 😛

So many misc props to poke at

it's possible to place down almost anything if you know the object. I'm trying to see if there is a way to get an reference to an object on dismantle. It would make finding some of the more desirable props easier

Funny part of what im doing is that im just swapping out what gets spawned when i place a chair. The way the data is stored for the base though still lets me pick up the swapped item and it still still go into my inventory as a chair. I could chop down that tree for resin if i wanted though so it is the actual object itself spawning

I remember back in my minecraft days there was a guide on building round structures, this is basically the same thing, but smaller voxels, same strategy might help. looks liek you got the general idea though 😄

is this a bug? nothing i did would let me place it back against the wall but it can halfway hover over mid-air. kept saying not enough free space... there's nothing there🥲

also, anyone else slowly losing their sanity just trying to place the dang windows? they really need the build controls, which also need more options because I thoroughly enjoy not being able to see where I'm placing something because my character is literally right in the way💔 need that flame altar-placing zoom

managed to make the terrain type able to be damaged by the pickaxe, still cant damage it via the hammer though

progress. The rake and the hammer now work on it. I'll have to poke the block info next and see if i can make a tower destructable 😛

that terrain type is normally indestructable

normally nothing will damage it. Pickaxe and rake will do nothing, and if you build near it, you cant just right click it away. I'm working on a nice way of being able to place these around normally but with them being indestructible it made fixing errors harder. Now that i can make them destructable, they will just become a normal building block like anything else for people to play with. I figure the creative builders will have fun with it once i get this all working in a nice way.
