have experienced burnouts, once i was helping with getting sponsors and hosting and participating a large hackaton 10k+ people
the same week as i was competing in a CTF (got 2nd place)
and our ticket system was down for 48h, so we got dropped a heavy ticket load on a Wednesday then also someones device got stolen and a lot of data got leaked so it was a very busy week

but its rare that stuff like that happens

so i am now starting my survival games phase again. i played enshrouded like a year ago and when i join my world today i see so much new stuff like chars and quests. should i just start a new one?

It's personal preference honestly. The game saves are backwards compatible, so there isn't new content you'll be missing out on by playing on an old save. But it can be overwhelming coming back halfway through a playthrough of a game you played a year ago, so some people prefer to restart anyway.

We also have reworked the early game areas and quest progression, so it might still feel fresh even if you're playing it for a second time.

A lot of the new content is later game than where you were, and technically you can go back to the early game areas and see the new content that got added, but yeah there's not a ton of reason to at your point in the progression

I see players do both. Some pick up where they left off, others like to restart. Both seem to work fine.

the problem is I need a nice flat area of water, which... getting water to be flat is a challenge :P

Everytime where I am, yes, this waterfall finally works now, no overflooding, something new happens.

I tried to manually get rid of all the water in the grass, but I couldn't pick it up. But when I tried to put down drains, there were huge waterfalls dripping down and I was just like. No. Can't be bothered anymore (after 3 hours of trying xD)

Yeah same. I am still proud of the things I build, but sometimes it feels like I am making artwork with paint with a mousepad on a laptop, while others are creating actually art with the right tools, if you get what I mean haha.

lol, it's more that... a good example is "Shroud roots" and they can be chopped once by anyone, but they don't respawn if people keep visiting them. so it can be frustrating as a new player... if someone else gets to it first, and you just can't cause it hasn't respawned
