It's got cool mechanics, but they aren't well presented, they aren't well implemented, the damage is insane compared to everything else, and it invalidates most builds outside of archery.

Last time I tried it, supposedly you could parry some of the projectiles to stun it, but I never got very good at that.

And he does the attack about once every 2-3 minutes.

I can get 2 meteors in if I'm lucky

And I do about a 40th of his hp bar when I do manage to down him if he:
A. Doesn't land on the other side of the arena
B. Doesn't knock me all the way out of the arena when he falls on me
C. Something else random happens

So either I'm missing something, or the devs expect me to spend About 11 x 40 minutes fighting this boss melee.

Because I made a shop for each of my craftsmen i place magic chests in their shops and fill them with all the ingredients each one calls for in their build menu.

That's not a negative, it's just because I have gotten pretty far before and I know what I'm missing. The water is the game is amazing! In this case, I don't think so, the CL is CAS latency, its the amount of clock cycles it takes for the RAM to interface with the rest of the build, essentially to send data. So the quicker it can do it the better. However, the difference between CL36 and 30, you couldn't tell really.

assuming you've already got your voxel terrain pipeline set up with a dual-pass marching cubes implementation which honestly anyone should have lying around, you just need to hook into the procedural biome stitcher and make sure your fog volumetrics are running on a deferred cascade system with at least three frustum slices. the tricky part is getting the survival loop to sync with the stamina desaturation shader but if you just inverse lerp the hunger coefficient against the base metabolism float and clamp it between 0.03 and 0.97 you're golden. most people overcomplicate the building system but it's literally just a recursive snap-point octree with some basic quaternion alignment. i usually just bake the structural integrity checks into the physics tick and let the engine sort it out. the enemy ai is basically a weighted behaviour tree with some perlin noise injected into the aggro radius so they don't all path the same way. throw in a loot table rng seeded off the world hash and you've got yourself a game. the rest is just ui stuff which doesn't even count

Details on where to find your save files, how save slots work, and how to manage them.

Save File Locations

Cloud Save (Default):
Open the folder where Steam is installed (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam). You can find the path from your Steam client menu under Steam > Settings > Storage.

Local Save (Cloud Save Disabled):

Save Slots & Backups
There are 10 Save Slots available for your game worlds.
Save Slots:
Slot 1: 3ad85aea

Backups:

  • Each slot has 10 rotating copies numbered 0-9.
    The file at index 0 has no suffix, but is still part of the rotation.
  • The game references the file listed in the -index file.
  • Every 10 minutes, a new copy is created, pushing the oldest out of rotation.
  • There is no distinct "primary" saveโ€”whichever file the -index file points to is loaded.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

  • This must be done whilst the game is closed.
  • To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
  • Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
  • Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

  • Open the -index file in a text editor.
  • Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
  • Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

  • The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
  • Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
  • The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
    Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

Yeah but with the filters you can probably adjust other stuff for better visibility. I never tried tho, just using the rtx HDR because it looks better than windows auto-hdr.
