No, so far, there is no survival heat mechanic in the Kindlewastes. They might add it later, though, many people have pointed out that desert heat can be as deadly as frost.

Personally, the thing I find even more annyoing is food and water being interchangeable in Survival mode. 😄

Now, obviously Player A does not gain further XP, but if both are together at the second time, does Player B gain the XP for missed quest?
Or, does Player B have to be alone with the other player being out of game or in another part of the map to gain the XP?

I see that I have "missed quests" for quests completed by another player, even when I was in game/same server but not in the same area so I guess I didn't get credit, which makes sense. However, I have tried to complete them but some refuse to progress. Is that a glitch... Or....?

This is why I am trying to clarify what should happen, as there seems to be an element of inconsistency.

Personally I have one quest that is certainly glitched, where I am suppose to talk to the carpenter that will not progress. Perhaps that is because I have 'completed' additional quests from him.
Also from our experience in a Co-Op game, it is not clear if like your example, subsequent completion is awarding XP. My fear is that it will put off those who were not around at the time, from continuing to play, etc.

Given the quality of effort the Devs have put into this game, I do find it surprising that there is a lack of clarity about Co-Op play and XP.

I understand your frustration. For example, one of my "missed quests" is to assign fenring (sp?) - one of the farmer NPCs - a bed. I have done this, and attempted to trigger the quest progression various ways to no avail; The quest remains in my "missed quests" and will not progress. Likewise with the "gem and forge" discovery quest. Going to the location and using the forge does not trigger completion. :/

For the second one, are you following all the steps? I would suggest visiting the wiki to see the steps and you might (hopefully) just be missing a step. For example, the quest has you go to the gem forge but then immediately leave to find a shroud lair nearby.

Do you have the quest for shelter and beds for Fennig? and at what step does it not advance?

Yes. I did it in my own world successfully. Can't do it in the world I primarily play in with my partner

I forget what the quest is called but the only step is to assign a bed for Fennig. It is sheltered, and assigned. It shows the green check mark under his name when I interact with him to craft. But the quest does not progress from the step "assign a bed" 🤷‍♀️

I guess I'll have to try to do all of the "missed" quests to see how many and which ones are 'stuck'

from what I've seen / noticed the quest steps can be pretty buggy , best bet is to have the same person that grabbed the npc summon and set bed and before doing that all other ppl should close to the person completing it since it seems tied to proximity as well

it's annoying but the way it is...

having all ppl that want the quest completed properly proximity to the person doing the step is important otherwise everybody else could get stuck

or it wont move forward at all

One thing to remember with the quest system, originally there was nothing personal about it, once a quest was done on the world, it was done and dusted entirely. I don't think their original plan was even to have player separated quests, until they got a lot of requests for it 😄 There are a lot of hiccups and shenanigans that happen with them 😄

Varies a lot by player. Some players think the game is too difficult even with easy settings, some players max the enemy settings right away and turn on starvation mode.

For weapons - legendary is nice, but the base level will matter quite a bit, and the max weapon level is 50.

well look... i have more worlds some are even more filled with items and stuff and i have no problems.
i use a SSD, my settings are pretty low actually i'm playing on medium to high settings and i have around 90fps they sometimes drop down to 75 but never below 60.
i maybe should have said, that i removed altars to relocate them on another place to get more space on another side.
my shroud level is maxed, slomo only happens when i'm upgrade it to a bigger one

Speaking of SSDs, I was having some performance issues with a game last night. (Resident Evil 9, in particular.)

I found out that it just doesn't run well on my external SSD. Gameplay and stuff was fine, but cutscenes were sometimes desynced and would stutter occasionally. Switching it to the internal fixed it, lol.

Well, external SSDs will have performance issues, depending on the type of connection they have. Even if you're using USB-C, you aren't going to get the same throughput performance you would on a normal M.2 NVME. An internal M.2 NVME on a PCIE 4.0 bridge will give you at minimum 3500 MBps, where as USB- C caps at around 2500 if you have the best USB-C connection and an external drive that supports it.

is she close to the box, too? It might be that she has occasional short connection losses that other games might not register, but that Enshrouded detects, thus leading to her getting kicked out

it's unlikely as you seem to be a US resident, thus living in a wood frame house, not like some of us who have sturdy stone walls wreaking havoc on our wi-fi, but there are many things that could interrupt or disrupt the signal

not enough for her to lose complete connection, but enough to mess it up

fokus by the level up on the skill points first. they give good damage and health

As you level up your strength and weapons and skills, you'll start hitting harder. It's always a little slow at the beginning. If you're going one-handed sword plus shield, I highly recommend speccing into Merciless Strike and getting good at parry timing. Many enemies will glow (either in their weapons or in their eyes) during the parry window to make it easier to time.

I don't remember the details from the video but the lighting is somewhat raytracing. Not hardware RT mind you but something like Unreals Lumen is doing in software mode.

Enshrouded is a fully custom engine built from scratch. Its intensely GPU heavy / moreso than any other game i have played.

Try Avatar or Star Wars: Outlaws on max settings on your GPU and you will not have a great time.

my number 1 issue is the Ghost Glider. If you get your hands on that before the quest you most likely can't get the quests to go to the Mountains and then Veilwater.

I've had 2 friends who joined our server at a later stage and redid all the quests through the missed quest thing but both of them couldnt get "Among Blue Jays" - Quest to trigger because they had a Ghost Glider before the quest would start where you would go and get that thing.
