Funny enough, is I didn't touch the water. I placed my altar down started building a massive wall around the entire border. I start working on the upper lvls. Decided to fly down as I got some metal fences to use as a blocker for enemies trying to go inside my base. Entire lower lvl of the base was under water. Thank god for the diving gear set

Have you guys, by any chance, ever looked into hardware raytracing for the lighting? I have no idea how your engine does the Global Illumination, all I know is that my GPU clearly does not use its RT cores when playing Enshrouded. Generally interested if you looked into that at all.

Oh, yeah, that part doesn't surprise me. There's bad managers everywhere. I guess the "if you aren't stressed you aren't working" line just surprises me, because the Germans I've met seem more likely to push back against company mistreatment.

Here in the US, it's so engrained in our culture that the common mentality is that you're supposed to just lie back and take whatever your managers throw at you. All the blame is put on the employee, "if you don't like it, then leave", sorta thing, rather than blaming the employers for mistreating or taking advantage of their workers.

Got paid less than the mcdonalds down the street, but good lord the expectations were unbelievable. Everything was life or death, mistakes were not tolerated even for minor tasks, and none of my coworkers seemed to think any of that was unusual. I've never been more stressed than at that job, and everyone working there had spouses that paid the bills because we all didn't make any money lol. Talk about an industry that preys on people's passion. Everyone was there because they loved animals, and the management really took advantage of that.

Something I've noticed after working for German companies is that this issue stems from lack of communication, or the kind of... toxic positivity problem I guess you could call it that american work culture has?

At my German companies, if my boss has a problem with something, they'll just tell me immediately. At my American companies, my bosses would secretly hold a grudge about something, but every time they'd interact with me they wouldn't mention it and act all friendly and stuff. Then, the thing I was doing that they didn't like would reach a tipping point, and out of nowhere they'd blow up at me or formally reprimand me or something.

I had that exact thing happen with taking vacation days at a job I had. It was always totally fine, feel free, that's not an issue, until one day I had days that I needed to miss over a weekend college course I was taking, and my boss told me that I either needed to show up or I'd be fired, because I had been "taking too many days off", lol. And that's the kind of thing where it's like... why didn't you warn me sooner? I would have taken less days off.

It was a theme that I never noticed until I worked for German companies, when I had a realization that this wasn't a normal thing that happens everywhere lol

I have an problem right now that I lose trust in my boss.

I've had both experiences. First was a small computer repair place, but they were doing the dodgy on the side and the boss was an rear opening.

Then i worked in trade/retail sales for a guy that had 4 shops, he was far from perfect but when it came to needed time off, (Or making sure there was actually enough staff in the shops, even if he had to work there himself) I can count on one hand, in 11 years, how many times he denied someone asking for time off, even as late as a week before they wanted/needed the time.

When the game loads in, it puts characters on the "ground," meaning terrain. If you have a gap between floor and terrain, then the animals and sometimes the people will get stuck between and/or shunted to one side. Best way to fix this IMO is have no flooring in animal spaces, have a slight depression in the ground in addition to a fence, and set NPCs to 0 wantering room. Also put pet/animal feeders and beds away from any walls or furniture.

I don’t think they can keep track of coordinates for every animal that every player has on their farm. I agree though they need to fix both animals and NPC’s.
I set all mine to zero roaming but they still fall thru floors.
I think the best solution is to have every thing spawn in their assigned beds on the day night cycle.
