Mining has been my guilty pleasure of gaining XP. Whenever I’m close to leveling up but I’m too battle worn for another fight, I mine resources! Especially salt, we are always using it all up at base.

It is not a lot of xp per swing, but it is constant.

Hollow Halls are also great XP grinds. LOTS of enemies and XP scrolls in like 10% of the pottery...

You might have to "redo" some things.

Like for the taming quests. You can already have a tamed animal, or can tame one anywhere. But you still have to go to the location to mark all steps complete.

Build a chimney using block of choice, then remove a few of the voxels from the top, place a standing torch or two a few blocks deep (adjust to preference) and then re-add the removed voxels (usually by clicking undo)

Using hammer, overlay a large block of material you can make - rough stone, rough wood, etc, then rt click to delete. Should get back the materials that were deleted from whatever prefab building was there.

Sometimes doesn't work on block types that are quest-related if you haven't fulfilled that quest yet, btw.

you can always uproot your altar after a short cooldown period, so I'd proceed by trial and error
