Backups:

• There is no distinct "primary" save—whichever file the -index file points to is loaded.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

• This must be done whilst the game is closed.
• To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
• Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
• Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

• Open the -index file in a text editor.
• Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
• Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

• The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
• Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
• The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
  Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

I've iterated Kelinyx in a few different settings, but toxic stabbing was always a feature; Age of Conan (dexterity+daggers+lotus-based poisons), Game of Thrones (text RP game with kid Keli, ratstabbing with rusty metal, eventually adopted by a House and made into a courier/spy) and now Enshrouded where people, like, expect her to be a mature and competent world saver (so she poisons her knives to help, v smrrt).

one thing that annoys me hard is: I would love to move my altar to a new position. But how the locking mechanism works is... poor, to put it mildly (I'm frustrated) I've levelled the ground, dug holes, tried to build ‘frames’ with stones and other things, but I just can't get the altar to the exact height I want. Arguably one of the best games out and its not even done. The value and amount of content for the price is unmatched.

The building aspect is fantastic. The story is solid. There are plenty of quests, a huge map and thousands of POIs to explore…

Combats meh-ish? But its not bad and really isn’t the main focus of the game anyway imo. That said i know combat continues to get a lot of focus and effort to improve from the dev.

What i would maybe like to see in this game is level scaling for enemies as well as loot. It becomes a little pointless to go back to beginning areas and the thrill of exploration kind of dies knowing that even if you do discover a new area in that lower level zone you didn't explore fully in the beginning you won't get loot for your level, only the low level loot. So it kinda ruined exploration for me after level 45 and everything done. We should get SOME kind of reward, there should still be a coin at the end of the tunnel that actually helps even the high levels whether that is archaic essence or currency in the form of universal material which you can change into ANY material or maybe tokens for cosmetic unlocks and so on. Basically SOMETHING other than "oh a few more runes for upgrading the weapons i allready have all upgraded". What are other peoples opinions on this?

Yeah, you can make enemies deal more damage and take more damage which is fine but they don't really drop your level loot and neither do the boxes in the world you explore. That's something i would love to have an option for in the future.

Maybe an oddity system would also work here. Just pushing those last few levels discards your regular xp gain and you only gain it for finding oddities in hidden places, questlines, corners of the world. Oddity system adresses that in a way and the scaling could be player-specific. Everybody fights the monster at their level and gets loot for their level. I agree it would need adjusting to balance it out properly but it doesn't mean it can't be done. There had been games that introduced the systems that did end up working just fine adressing the level 5 and level 30 buddies problem.
