You could just go to a hosting site. Their page lets you see your ping with their server and lets you pick different ones. (I did that to decide where I wanted GPortal to host my server before buying)

I'm confused by what upset you so much about what we said, did you get the impression that we are actively planning/developing DLC? Because that is not the case at all. Our entire current focus is on making the 1.0 release as good as we can make it, and we plan to continue developing and updating the game after that point with free updates.

Long-term the idea of DLC is on our radar, yes, but that's just basic game dev logic. If we want to keep supporting the game long term after 1.0 is out, we will eventually need more ways to make money to support development costs, as purchases of the game itself will inevitably slow down. But, again, we aren't developing any of that right now because we still haven't even reached 1.0 yet.

hey so... i've checked everything now... you seem to have a clue somewhere 😛 i tried connecting to other server and i had the problem all the time, thing is that i dont know where those servers where located... anyways i've downloaded a free VPN software and tried it out, it connected me to america and the ping ingame was still high but very stable, it was between 180-190 and thats it... when i dont use the vpn its range goes from 90-400 but mostly its pendeling between 200-300

I suppose I can see that, but no, it's really just practical logic. Game development is extremely expensive, it has cost millions of dollars to make Enshrouded, and it will cost millions more to keep supporting it for years to come. Sales pretty much always slow down dramatically after a game has its 1.0 release, so devs eventually are always met with the choice to either stop supporting the game, or find more ways to monetize it (DLC). We want to keep supporting the game as long as we can, so the idea of eventually doing DLC is on our radar, like we said in the video, but in terms of concrete plans we don't really know what it would look like yet, there's a lot more stuff we have planned for the game (for free) before we start thinking about that.

One thing that I've been curious about is the floating islands. Since the beginning, they intrigued me, and I tried to go there at the beginning, but was disappointed to learn that they were not yet prepared.

Are those the "base raid islands," mentioned in the roadmap, or is that something else? Those are the only islands I can think of, unless there's gonna be some off-shore of an ocean area.

I like the idea of separating it into their own area to make it more optional. I remember that I ended up turning off base raids in Valheim because they got annoying. I would love to eventually have a Flame Altar range of 200 x 200 x 200, the building opportunities would be increased tenfold for single altar builds. For example, a well placed altar with that range in Shorewatch of the Kindlewastes would encompass all of the estate, the bridge on the eastern side and the archway to the west, and the small oasis southwest. Fort Kelvin would be able to have everything including the hill with the ruined church. That's just some restoration projects with single altars, being able to create your own town, castle, villa, etc. with one altar of that size range would be a dream.

If you progress you will find the Eternal Arrow which is a magical one. Pretty much infinite ammo but it uses your mana to shoot

use rough stone or rough wood, whatever block you have. load "foundation" the largest block, and place the foundation inside the pre-made structure. then remove the foundation you just placed and it should take all of the blocks out

this is also how people clear massive swaths of terrain btw.

DLSS 4.5 resulted in a black screen with floating icons for me. Switching to Preset K fixed it again. Looks like DLSS 4.5 preset M for example should work now

Hit the shield, pause, swing just before they do to interrupt. Then bully for 2 to 3 hits, till they go back to blocking

Nvidia App 11.06.383 says "Not supported" on all 3 override types under the game specific graphics settings in the nvidia-app for me.

You can also just not use DLSS, though for some this may reduce perceived performance by a good margin. Leave it to Nvidia to sell us less hardware and then support less of their own "solution" software.

DLSS for example Preset K puts out a clearer image than native at 1440P in my experience, while also bumping fps. Its a valid complaint imo if its not working now

I already locked the game to 60 to not torture my GPU over nothing really, unlocking it, even with DLSS only gives me like 80 to 120fps, not worth it.
So yeah, i like the crisp image DLSS produced at balanced and above while not using as much power here.

I get this sometimes too. Light sources either take forever to update, or only do so after moving, etc.

I am on Nvidia and guessing this is due to recent driver updates, no idea.

But it is very sporadic, and closing game and relaunching fixes it.

Make sure to disable Steams Shader-Precaching and recompile the shaders once more after that.

Or what Kraven says. But turning off probably broken shaderdownloads is a more permanent fix.

Well there's a known graphical issue that occurs on some hardware with the update, so this might be related to that. That's why if it keeps happening, logs might be helpful for the team

But normally the known issue is different, it causes strange artifacts to appear, not existing things to disappear

Does this happen around water doors (I forget what they're technically called), because that is a known issue. If it's happening elsewhere, though, you might have something different. What feels different about the water flow to you?

We didn't use any water doors / floor for our entry. But we made cascades and waterfalls using terrain mostly. Some of our waterfalls are not active anymore, water stops at random spots even with a solid bed under it like stone etc, didn't happen before today's patch. Also ALL the waterfalls we've made are twitching, going left, right, they aren't as strong as they used to be and not constant at all

For pressure etc it might have to do with terrain, so it's fixable on my end. But the texture isn't the same at all. Water is literally twitching when before it was a straight and constant waterfall

On the waterfall front i did notice one of my dispensers stopped about 2 blocks in front of it, visually, but the waterfall was still flowing out the other end (I have like a small basar of water) I added a second dispenser and it filled up straight away, took that dispenser out again and the water stayed at the appropriate level as it was before.

There's a little weirdness but so far i've found take it out, put it back Seems to correct it.
