I want to get something off my chest. I understand the devs wanting to jam-pack the game with all sorts of content and locations to explore but I miss the patches of open land where you could just build whatever you want on a blank slate. Every time they update the game, they seem to find more and more of those blank patches and fill it with something.

There's still a lot of unused map which I wager will go to DLC, but FWIW with a 160x160 flame and the fact that you can stack/side by side extra flames, you can just terraform giant swathes of the game and rebuild from the ground up. Feels more "earned" than just buying a vacant lot IMPO.

Personally, having a fully fleshed out world, that we can then manipulate to our hearts content, is much better than having a partially filled world with 'patches' of blankness for no other reason than -empty-

Feedback: In-Game Save Sharing for Co-Op Play

Hello Enshrouded Team,

first of all, thank you for creating such an immersive and enjoyable game. The world design, building system, and co-op experience are truly excellent.

I would like to suggest a feature that could greatly improve co-op gameplay with friends:

🔄 In-Game Save Sharing / World Handover

Idea:
When playing together in a shared world and the host (or another player) goes offline, it should be possible to share the current game save directly in-game, allowing another player to download the world and continue playing seamlessly.

🔧 Possible Implementation:

A “Share / Hand Over World Save” button in the multiplayer menu

Automatic export of the current world and progress state

Secure in-game download for selected friends

Optional features:

Permission system (host-only or selected players)

Version and conflict checks

Steam Cloud integration

🌍 Why this matters:

Co-op worlds are currently strongly tied to the host

If the host goes offline, progress stops for everyone

Different schedules, time zones, and real-life obligations make constant hosting difficult

This feature would make co-op worlds more flexible, persistent, and long-lasting

❤️ Value for Enshrouded:

Stronger co-op and community experience

Fewer abandoned multiplayer worlds

A modern, player-friendly co-op feature that fits Enshrouded very well

Depends upon what you're comfortable with. Doing solo allows you to go at whatever pace you want too. If you join someone's server then you'll be playing at around the speed they're playing or less than the group. If you want you can play with a group and then when they're not logged in, play on your own solo server where you can experiment with building or exploring.

I really love having a cat and dog in my camp. I just wish they would stop getting stuck in/behind furniture or walls. I had my cat wind up behind my stairs, and 3 feet in the earth where there was just a tiny void. (that was a pain to dig out, then replace all of the dirt so it hopefully wouldn't happrn again.) It seems like every other day I have to play Where's Waldo(Wally) with one or both of them to figure out where in the house they disappeared to. Sometimes I don't find them for days.

Maybe make active animals summonable with the NPC tool? Sorry for the rant.

that depends on what you like from a game. Its fights are kinda like, and its history is served much like a "Souls" game. It is also an open world sandbox, you can go anywhere early with enough determination. It also has base building, crafting, and resource farming like Minecraft.

There are a few other games I have compared it to, but those I think would be my best comparisons (and all I can recall ATM).

Is their a resource server available? I lost a good legendary sword and a shield due to the game being unstable as hell for my system, Id like to get em back then put the game on hold until full launch when they hopefully fix the crashing issues.

I lost a map /w an insane amount of stuff on it. Wound up starting over and now have even more. It's all relative to your level and where you're grinding. I can start fresh and am always fine wherever I am in the game.

My point is there is no NEED for items over the level/biome/whatever you're in.

Nothing wrong with using the depots whether you're replacing items or just doing it for convenience. This isn't a shooter or an ARPG open world with leaderboards. There is no wrong or correct way to play. 🙂

I just always figured earning/achieving was more fullfilling than getting a handout. Of course I've been gaming for 40 years. Back then there were no depots, easy modes, aim assist. If you sneezed on your game system you often lost all your progress. LOL

West of Fort Kelvin is a pretty open and empty field, you may need to chop some trees though
if you want Revelwood... well, a lot of people build ontop of the hills which gives you a way better view, but if you want to build in the forest... uh, North East of Fort Kelvin is pretty flat, but has an enemy camp you'd have to take out...

its the exploration realy. scanning things.naming things. travveling towards the center etc.

I actually came to you all from the No Man's Sky side of things and spent a long time looking for something as similar as possible to that game. Sure, Valheim might be good too, but Vikings aren't really my thing, so I chose Enshrouded.

I could never give back to the developers what I got for those ~€23. That makes me sad. It's the same with No Man's Sky: you can't even spend money in the game because it's not possible. You can really see the passion that went into these projects.

As far as I remember, when my friends where still in there the door was locked but everything was still done up to where my friends where at. No idea how it behaves when youre alone tho

respawn time isn't very long - usually by the time you finish a hall, the monsters in the first areas will have respawned already lol

I am guessing what you have cleared will stay cleared till you are away from it for 30 mins but you will have to run throgh what you cleared to get to where you left from because you can't teleport to thoise balls

Normally if you stay in an area stuff won't respawn, but the halls are so immensely huge and deep, that you will get enough distance for first zones to respawn lol

and to add to that, depending how deep you already are, the 30 minute timer could already have started (for the first zones) while you are still fighting, so before you go back.

In my experience you can just haul ass through the previously cleared areas if there is respawn since you have opened and know the way

Either the corpse will still be there, or the entire area will reset after 30 minutes of being far away from it; allowing you to re-kill the boss

You can take your character to your own world and will keep everything in its inventory. Be aware though that most quests are server-related. If you start a new world, those will have to be completed again

Sorry guys, it was a bug. there was no boss respawning and the item had vanished with the quest stuck.
As i said I killed her, she dropped the item & i was killed by a lacky. for some reason the quest progressed passed the stage of getting the item and into the stage of placing it, so she wouldnt respawn.
But its all good now.

apologies for my delayed responses. am in HH that's why. i realise they spawn from 1 to a cluster. that's why many recommended aoe based offense. i only crafted a little over 800 explosive arrows, but i'm mainly a melee because i didn't want to waste resource and melee doesn't have a quantity count except durability which they do have repair anvil for that in the hall of one of the level. i manage to reach idk what level lol. a safe zone between 2 gates?

there was a save point where after 2nd puzzle there's one close gate i didn't open but non gate area where i can descend. i went to the ungated and it's a maze of doors. my 2nd door lead me to a wild chase which lead me to another save point. am i to go back and explore or proceed to who knows where lol

Okay I suggested horses but not for map progression or unfair travel speed but for roleplay reasons. I think this would be a great addition to the game as a companion and as a pet that you can take with you adventuring. I wouldn't want horses for an easier way to traverse the map. We already have gliders for that. I want horses to be able to ride out to go on adventures with my friends. I'd love to build a gallant stable and house each horse in special named stalls. And make a breeding pen to raise foals. I want to ride out into battle with my party of four so we can journey in style and fully enjoy the landscape as we ride. So I guess mainly for aesthetic reasons 😄
