It says it's unsupported on the steam page. (You can find this on the right side, if you scroll down past where it tells you if the game is singleplay, online co-op etc) There's a little section for steam deck compatibility. I'd show a screenshot but it doesn't let me in here.

You can still try it though. Some games work well even though they say "unsupported". Steam refund time is 2 weeks and less than 2 hours of playtime if you wanted to see if it works.

The rake is an unlimited soil exploit system. You can place down a few voxels of whatever soil type you need more of and then rake it out to create a huge thin surface of that soil that you can then dig up with the pickaxe for unlimited resources of that type without having to travel anywhere. Especially useful for making large farm fields.

Whenever I start a new world save I'll make it a priority to gather 20-30 farm soil from the farms just west of the first spire then use the rake to set up a large farm plot at my base to grow everything I need early on. As far as getting stacks of farm soil, I usually dig my way up cliffs rather than find a way around and I wind up with most of my stone and soil that way, then just craft the farm soil I need for the seed beds.

Plopped down trees on the raked out soil and it's happy with it. And that would be the one thing that logically I would think the roots would go deeper.

I mean, when one is sitting at the game and do nothing much - it will be a chore eventually. Following quests or something along that notion on autopilot, because there's no conscious idea what to do with the game is detrimental. With proper time management and moderation regarding particular game - especially open world, sandbox games - make the experience richer, since when you're not playing the game, you can already make some ideas what to do once you get to the game - and then it fills the game with more personal goal to achieve - which is obviously more satisfying than just completing a quest.

For me the reason is actually much more direct - I don't want to use up inordinate amounts of time playing a game; any game. There are too many good books to read, too much to learn, too many other things to do, even if it's just sitting and enjoying the sunlight. That's why I try and manage my time. 🙂

I'm new to it as well. It seems, at least to me and from what others have said, that it's a game at which you can play it at your own pace. Don't be afraid to try things out, but don't treat it like a linear/power level/A to B to C type game either. Experiment with different ways to level up your character and take your time. From what I've seen, there's an incredible amount to the game itself, and it's well worth taking that time.

The rarity system is kind of a mixed bag of RNG. There are definitely a lot of epic and legendary weapons that can be obtained frequently, but it's possible the exact match of a weapon that you are looking for is harder to come by, than the rarity. Consider it mostly Rune fodder.

I'll second that. Even in the short time I've played I've gotten a couple of Epic weapons but turned them into runes because they were 2h and I prefer 1h and shield. In my case, I think I JUST hit level 5, so it's not like I'm fighting incredibly powerful, epic bosses.

I would even say the quest system is a little more solo friendly, than in co-op.

I play it solo and I enjoy it. It allows you to go at your own pace and explore what you want, when you want. I can't speak for co-op as I haven't tried it.

Explore the cindervault area. Plenty of secrets and chests and the area lets you learn before leaving it. Gather materials and make a base, build the glider and the grappling hook. Those items are needed for further exploration. Learn to use your axe and pick axe. You can climb using pick axe on the walls.

Well in my case, I changed it so that I didn't lose my inventory if I died, and also so that my tools didn't degrade. It allowed me to get more used to the game and how it worked without worrying if I made a mistake.

There's many levels of armor and weapons, each level of them has 5 different rarities. Grey, green, blue, purple and gold. It's going to take you awhile to get to current maximum level, which the game is still in early access so not quite finished yet.

There have definitely been games that I, personally, have seen things that I found objectionable. That being said, there are definitely far too many people who I believe simply look for and find things to be mad about and look for reasons to express it to everyone. Myself, if a game is one I don't like, I don't play it. Simple.

I would like it if Steam had a "neutral" review option. That, to me, would allow you to leave a review about the game in which you expressed your opinions about the game but still allowed that others may agree or not agree and encourage them to try the game out for themselves.

I think it would be a good idea, myself. There have been games that I felt, for example, definitely had far too much of an agenda to them to be enjoyable. Did that make it a bad game? No. It made it a game I didn't want to play, but people should be able to make their own call on that. It's not something that makes it a "good" or "bad" game. A neutral option would be perfect for situations like that where it's more of a personal call.

Yeah it can be. I’ve found ways of coping with them and they have gotten less and less over the years. Used to be chronic when I was a kid

I can relate. I dealt with them far more during my late teen years and early 20's than I do now. They still happen for various reasons, but whatever the frequency, they are always disruptive and always disturbing. It's good to know that you have been proactive in coping with them, and that they have lessened.

Yeah I’ve gotten good at like registering that I am dreaming whilst in the dream. So it does help. Now some can be a lot even while I know I am dreaming. I still wake up upset or in a panic. But it eventually goes away

That's a natural reaction, given how real dreams can seem, and even when we know we're dreaming. The important thing is that you are able to work through it and not let it devastate you or make you fearful of sleeping. I've had dreams so real I could feel the wind on my face and the heat of the sun. That's disconcerting.

Same here! I could feel everything. I literally had dreams of getting stabbed and felt it. It’s so crazy. The night terrors I had when I was little made me so fearful of sleep. Not only that but they were so recurring that I knew I was going to go right back into that dreamscape as soon as I fell asleep.

Oh yes. They're common in children and, thankfully, they outgrow them in most cases, provided there are no underlying traumas or other factors to make them continue into other disorders as the person ages. It's terrifying for a child, especially, since sleep is so often pictured as a restful, happy time.

It sucked for me because I was the one child that actually loved going to sleep and had no qualms going to bed early. Lol I’m still like that 🤣🤣

I grew up in the mountains and so I'm used to the snow and cold. I don't mind it. I prefer the daylight, myself. Never been a huge fan of night, except for when I was out stargazing, of course, planisphere in hand 🙂

I’ve always wanted to see the northern lights as well. And oddly enough… I’ve wanted to see a tornado. Not be in it ofc… be at a safe distance to observe it. lol

I've seen the Aurora - it's a sight like no other. I've never seen a tornado in life, but I've just missed a couple by a day or so.

I’ve always been so fascinated by weather. I’ve been in hurricanes ofc but like the idea of flying into the eye like some of the meteorologists do would be such a rush.

It would be, indeed. There's a lot of very good and reliable information out there that can make you a pretty knowledgeable person on the subject and even a pretty decent amateur forecaster. If you haven't looked into it, you should? It is, quite literally, the Greatest Show on Earth 🙂

As someone who has seen both, the tornado was an experience I'll never forget compared to an aurora.
