Fell archer trolled me hard with this. I ran up to the bastard, kicked him in the butt twice to stun him, took a swing at another enemy behind me while the archer was stunned - and then I executed merciless attack on archer. While the animation of the attack started, archer un-stunned himself and ran away from me. My own attack launched me right into lava about 50 meters behind the archer xD

it's a way for the game to preserve its performance budget and spend it on thing that are closer to the player

we've definitely got trees in our crosshairs for performance, because Veilwater has a LOT of them as you probably know... but it's something that'll take time to optimize

it's also why when we do a build showcase, at least when I film them, my camera movements will be mostly vertical

so that I don't suddenly get a tree appear out of nowhere into the background, drawing the attention away from what I'm filming

Mistlands and Ashlands have, admittedly, been big updates, but with every biome the game gets worse with bloat for all the random items they add in. I do appreciate how in Enshrouded there isn't as much of that and they keep some early game loot relevant.

i always hate in games where say wood is the weakest vs stone but stone can look ugly so its like do i want defence or to look good its why transmog is needed in every game with numbers

Which is one of the things I like about Enshrouded's building is that, yes there is a hierarchy of strength in materials, they not only look it (stronger vs weaker) but they also give you a VAST amount of tools to customize it to your prefrences. I still really enjoy uaing Shroud Wood for rebuilding our town in, but got rid of the thatch roofs for something sturdier looking (i can't remember which one).

ah, I think I remember. I the main room where you drop down, there is a button on the wall below where you drop from, it does not light up, and it is very hard to see, I think there was fog/shroud in the room

drop down to the opposite side and turn around, see if you can spot an area on the wall back from where you dropped, and shoot it with a staff or bow

Trees grow quite long time. Hour or maybe even more. Small stuff grows relatively fast. You can have a field of bushes, grass or some flowers in 10-20 minutes

It's best to squeeze farming between adventures :D

Useful tip: ||Once you get the things required for growing stuff, plant 20-25 berry bushes and 40-50 mushroom on rotation :) That way you will have steady supply of ingredients for healing potions.||

Yeah unfortunately the game suffers from quite a few bad game design decisions. It might be due to a main focus on the building system and the team being so small. They definately care about the game at least which is a huge plus. Maybe they'll do that later by the time it's full released.

Just noticed something unexpected with the water mechanics.
I have a large room I filed with water. Massive room.
I deleted a 4x4 block out from under the door to this massive room of water.
The water didn’t just flow out. I rocketed out with upward momentum. Like at least 6-7 voxels high.

I'm not sure I follow your train of thoughts. You want to skip flameborn quest and side quests? Side quests are often from villagers you get through flameborn quests.

If you ask about cheesing the game and just going to grab stuff from the world, assuming you know where things are, then I suppose you can just do that

Does anyone know the respawn timers the Update 7 introduced for the Chests / Enemies? Also does the respawn apply to to resources as well? (Like for resources you could harvest what you need logout login and the resource locations would be back to what it was.

terrain still respawn on logout but that's about it. as far as I know.

Is it possible to spawn an NPC on one side of my base and have their bed on the other side? So I can have them roam on one side of town during the day and then return home at night. Or won’t they able to find their bed this way if it’s too far away?

No they need to be within a specific distance from their beds because thats their anchor point if something happens and they get stuck/despawn. The fall back is the flame altar.

Agreed. All of ours are on 0m because they kept finding places to get stuck and couldn't find their way back to their bed.

NPC Survivors: I had huge issues even after the 11/25 patch with them randomly not having a bed or forgetting where it was. On a recommendation, I moved them all into their own dedicated rooms instead of a single open space with beds and my issues have all but gone away (except getting stuck or walking into walls)

It was set that way because people spammed it, before the permissions of posting images were relaxed it was the only place to post images and it was only for images but, people started conversations in there.

I'm pretty sure I set it to 2 hrs then and had the old bot patrol that channel, maybe ask a mod nicely to change the chat cooldown.
