They're actually very good at looking after their playerbase, if you haven't seen that then you've not been paying that much attention.

This is a very unique situation, they made a trailer for Gamescon, which was months before the update was ready. With any of their other updates we never knew anything about those updates until a week or two before they were released. A lot can happen in the dev cycle in two months, especially with what they're accomplishing with this update 😄 The only 'mistake' they made was putting October on the trailer 😄

Communication with the entire player/ customer base is important also. Plenty on Steam wondering what's going on, not everyone chooses to use Discord or other social media for reasons of their own choosing and Steam is where they bought the game. Not one official person (Dev, Community Manager/ player assigned Steam moderator has bothered to make a post letting them know where things are currently at. Not gonna get into all the negative what if possibilities as a result.

The nerfs to stamina are to the base regen, but at the same time, the majority of the items in the game are being changed, and a significant amount of them now have big stamina boosts in their stats. Same goes for food.

Overall it's not a direct nerf, just different, and you can even build to have more stamina than before if you intentionally take a lot of stamina items.

While the rng itself won't be changing significantly with this update, it's on our radar, and in my opinion the new lore weapon crafting system more than makes up for no longer being able to cheese with chests :) That will make it a lot easier to get the kinds of weapons you need at any stage of the game, without needing to rely on rngesus to bless you

No. Not just for health boosts. I'm saying that food buffs are most likely going to play a larger role in acquiring the Regen or other benefits you'll need in mid-to-late content.

Mages are kinda squishy, but your not supposed to be in close combat unless your good at dodging. I usually swap over to a wand if any enemies get close because it's faster and doesn't require charging

Otherwise I just stand like 70 feet away and lob fireballs at them
