I'm still hoping they at least let me assign tasks to some of the villagers like 'barkeep' or 'banker' that gives me access to specific UI elements.

The 'banker' role should be a UI of all magic chests in the base...that'd be super convenient.

hey fellas, i'm brand new to enshrouded and got a small question regarding optimization

looking online it seems that a lot of people say it's good and others say it's bad, and/or improved over the months, but nothing concrete

so i want to ask for ur experience with performance

Quick question is their is a way for to Increase resources multiplier or creative mode /dev commands . For solo play

I like building without adding mods or anything but gathering mats took ages..

It's definitely improved both visually and performatively....but I've never had too many issues with game performance. That being said I have a pretty beefy gaming PC so it really depends on your rig/settings.

are there any recommended "red" graphics options that should be turned off/down on lower end setups?

When reducing quality for performance, I always recommend looking at shaders first...they can be some of the most obnoxious resource hogs. Also, lighting/shading is basically all there is left to making games go from washed-out to fantastic.

Depends on your CPU. Also it loads a lot faster from the main menu

I know many of you are also building enthusiasts and use the game more like a sandbox for building after questing and getting all recipes etc. Now the community I'm in is facing more and more bugs which makes it hard to finish up our gothic castle (again, we had to restart already). It would be so nice for Keen to provide a fresh world with all recipes und crafters etc. unlocked, so we don't have to replay the game over and over after every major patch. It's a fun game, sure, but it's not fun to play it over and over again so your building projects won't have game breaking bugs. Hopefully someone sees this at Keen and shows some love to us builders ❤️

What are you trying to work around? If you're just wanting a world where everything is unlocked already then my suggestion would be, one of your group (Or the entire group) create a world, don't build anything large on it, unlock everything and then save that world as a backup, you can then use that backup to start a new world when you like. Keeping the backup of course... then just update that backup with the new unlocks of an update, rince and repeat.

Make a duplicate of the actual world you play now, remove the altars from the OG world, poof a fresh world with everything done & nothing @ it

Yes, that's simpler, but if there's bugs on that world, which rather large builds tend to get, it's entirely possible it's baked into the save so even removing altars may not get rid of the bug (Though the bug they mentioned above of not being able to remove blocks i've seen floating around a little recently and not just on large builds)

Depends what's been done on the world, i've got 3 worlds, one from start of EA, one from Albaneve update and one i started a month or so ago, none of them have any bugs that weren't/aren't wide spread. Some of the crazy builds people do really are pushing the limits of what the games currently capable of, they're aware of it and will do what they can to alleviate them. Again, EA and all. You can say show the builders some love, but they've done a tremendous amount for the builders already and they're unlikely to interrupt their content schedule just to release a creative mode until it's ready ^^

If there's one thing that's constant, players will break a game in more ways than devs can ever imagine.... so bug reporting is the most useful thing you can do to improve your own experience ^^

I notice that the list of completed quests in the journal can hardly be complete. I compared to the list of all quests in the game, and I can spot many quests on the full list that is not listed in my journal. I have played on two characters so in theory I could remember some of them from the other character, but they're not listed there either.

I assume I just have to make educated guesses reading each "missing quest description" as to whether I have completed it or not?

For instance, the NPCs all list several quests that are not shown as completed, but none of the NPCs have any open quests for me any more. I also have 0 pending quests right now.

Is this a known bug or "just how it is"?

Could quests "silently" complete if I get hold of the items before the actual quest? For instance, the quest for the Ghost Glider should've appeared after I completed Sun Temple Stories, which I have completed, but the glider quest is not in my list at all. However, a friend of mine on the server went and got the gliders for us, so maybe the quest was just silently dropped/hidden since I got the item?

I ask all this because I thought I'd run through the quest list and find and complete all those I haven't done, to eek out the final hours of the game as it is now, but seeing as quests might've been completed without being listed makes that a bit harder.

Some quests have triggers that if they have already been achieved, the actual quest won't trigger - for example, crafter NPC's all have quests to have a roof over their heads. If they already have those, the quest won't trigger, and doesn't show up in the list as completed either. (or at least they used to - it's been a year since I did those)

elder scrolls online allows you to save a complete snapshot of your character setup to an armory, and have multiple such named snapshots saved. The snapshot will save armor and gear, active skills, how you allocated all your skill points, etc.

of course, in those games you also select a specific class when you create your character, so it's not like you can have all the options available to you just through the loadout system. If you want to go from a magic-wielding sorcerer to a bow-wielding nightblade, you might still need two characters, but then how that sorcerer wields their magic can be up for grabs by whichever armory preset you load into it at any given moment

having a full snapshot of a character in Enshrouded would remove the need to have multiple characters

so I doubt that would be a thing, and beyond that, the current system where you can easily switch armor sets, I doubt we'll see a more complex loadout system than that

That armory also will save afflictions like werewolf or vampire. It's a great way to switch back to a normal character with a new Armory slot then you can be a vampire or werewolf or not, whenever you want. I used another armory slot for just a crafter and put all my points into the crafting.

I have between 10 and 20 quests that I need to read up on. I have 0 quests active in the game, but many quests needs to be discovered, and many quests auto-complete silently if you meet their criteria ahead of time, so I am assuming most of those 10-20 are done, but there might be a few left that I want to complete just to have done it all. Additionally, I need to check up on flame shrines and obelisks, as I still have open achievements on steam.

Just don't play this game as a "ok, I've got this quest, put on the blinders and head STRAIGHT for that quest and complete it". Get sidetracked!

Yeah random generation does add a lot of replayability. But its also much harder to make have large amounts of interesting content.

they could create random dungeons with their block system like many other games do, by creating tiles that are strung together randomly, according to rules as to which blocks goes well with which other blocks

so they could have a random, endless, dungeon that would get progressively harder as you venture further into it, with progressively increasing amounts or quality of rewards

since we haven't seen anything like this so far, I am not expecting anything like that for 1.0, I am expecting them to finish and flesh out the zones already in the game, such as the blackmire and albaneve summits, and then whatever the "water biome" is according to their road map.

I bought this game about a month ago, and it ran so badly on my RTX 2080 Super that I refunded it on Steam. Admittedly, that graphics card has always felt like a lemon since it behaved different from what I would expect, but sadly the seller didn't agree so I just stuck with it. However, the game resonated with me to such a degree that after the weekend, I went out and got a new graphics card from my computer and rebought the game. Haven't looked back since.

As such, when I said I would gladly pay $60 for it, in reality I bought a new graphics card because of it, so about $460 + the price of the game.

Two questions:

1. Is it possible to obtain the Steam achievements for finding all sanctums and flame shrines for all the zones?
2. If the answer to 1. is yes, is there a complete map of all the ones I need to find?

I've been using the map on https://enshrouded.wiki.gg/wiki/Map but I have crossed out all the ones in Springlands now, but still haven't gotten the achievement.

Yeah it's possible, though the sample size of players who have done them is quite low, so if there's a bug somewhere with the achievement I wouldn't be totally shocked or anything

For the sanctums, that just means "Night Sanctums", right? Are there other things classified as sanctums? Do I need to enter them and complete them or is it enough to just get them charted, like visiting them outside?

I’m pretty sure idk how far you are but what quests you have done, but with the ectoplasm from the hollows, you can craft a gem with those ectoplasm I’m not 100% if someone can correct me on that

I can craft an "Ectoplasm Gem" with the collector, from Ectoplasm fragments, but it is not a "gem" gem, it is just another crafting material needed for other stuff.

by "gem" gem, I mean that it is not a gem you can slot into weapons to get some kind of bonus, it's just a crafting material, but yes, it is a gem in name at least, is that what you mean?
