And how it's working: Enemy attacks you, you "block" when the weapon glows = you parry the enemy, filling the "stun" (stamina drain) bar of you enemy. If it reaches 100% you stun the enemy for around 6-8s

Meanwhile you can perform a merciless attack on it or keep hitting + merciless attack in the end

So not really a buff, more like a gameplay element.

Uh no, 2 hand in like you need two of them to use that weapon like a big mace, not you need 2 hands to have a weapon in each one.

So I thought of a new MOB. A Shroud Siren. Formerly a mermaid corrupted by the shroud who swims through the shoud lava and if you don't take her out fast enough she can compel you to walk into the lava with her beautiful song.

my main issue with underwater (or as is the case, lava) monsters, is that they tend to be invulnerable when submerged, which means killing them is a pain in the butt

Lately, my "bosses" just invented that they can squeeze in +2-3 orders more into every time frame.
That works very good! Also, they count on us missing out on customers because no one in the house opens the door.
That this calculation is due to fail I don't need to mention or? I feel we'd be more productive if we just would go for half an hour per meter we swap.
But no, I needed to do 21 yesterday and my back thanks me for that today

A few days ago I found out that the base I was building on howling peak (a castle with a Zeppelin dock) was already built by someone months ago. Seriously it was really trippy and kinda cool seeing that someone had basically built the EXACT same base you had envisioned in your mind.

Enshrouded has very few (default) other penalties, and as mentioned before there are half a dozen ways to easily resolve it. But yeah, if it feels annoying that means it's working. It's your incentive to get better at not dying xD

Playing local multiplayer. Any idea why sometimes i might not complete a quest, while my partner does? We go do it all together, but they are consistently marked inactive.

I mean, that's kind of an example where the game contradicts itself. Very early on one of the first materials you have to find is "shroud wood". Wood from the shroud. So based on what the game has conveyed so far, it's natural that when the game asks for "enshrouded ice" your brain goes "oh, I know this, ice from the shroud!"

I believe the shader compilation is done in CPU. Which makes sense since it has to send he compiled byte code to the GPU for it to work. So it can't really compile on the GPU in the first place. So the length of time needed will depend on the capabilities of the CPU.

Soooo...Forgive the lame dumb down on this analogy. But the CPUs that would be in that model are either 10 or 14 core Intel which uses the weird performance + efficiency hybrid stuff. All the CPU options are 6 performance cores and then either 4 or 8 efficiency ones. So if it's spinning up 13 threads you have potentially 6 threads going 100mph and then 7 threads strolling along at 40mph. That's with the presumption that all the performance cores will be hit and not all the efficiency ones. Whereas someone on an AMD system might have 12 cores with 11 threads and all 11 threads are running 100mph. Now this isn't exactly 100% accurate because Windows will typically ask to vary the speed of each core individually and shift things around as other programs on the system are doing things. But it should give a gist of explanation as to what's going on and why it might take a long time.

Actually I guess that's not quite right since the performance cores may also support hyper threading which gives them a split virtual thread on each of those. It's kind of a complex mess.

we started to play as 3 friends, im admin (host) of the world, then one person went to sleep and we 2 played more and finished main quest (where u need first time to increase Fire level). So now we are getting new quests, but what will be when first friend will join us tomorrow? he will still have his old "increase fire level" and then this means he will never keep up with us and we will be doing all quests now with him getting no progression from it?:(

No, quests like that are attached to the server, so when he logs on his flame level will be the same as yours and he should have whatever quest you do

Not really, no. There is the odd chance you might have some oddities (Like pulling from chests) Because of the overlap but that's a once ina bluemoon scenario. Many people use multiple areas.

but now we got access to smith and now we have armor and enemies dealing like 1/3 of dmg and also i got healing aura for 7 hp regen...feels like its too easy now

I mean yeah, the game gets significantly easier when you get gear and some skill points, and thats generally your cue to clear out the area youre in and move on, until it starts feeling hard again

Opinion based on solo gameplay no world modifiers:

easy: enemy lv [< or =] player lv = easy gameplay
normal: enemy lv [>] player lv (up to 3-5 lvs based on player skill)
difficult: enemy lv >5+ player lv

ways to make the game harder (world modifiers):

• increase # of enemies (overwhelm the player)
• increase enemy damage (make the player weary of taking damage)
• increase enemy health (slow down combat by making enemies harder to kill)

Having a single block in your inventory to trigger the magic chests is by design, not a bug.

Since you are playing multiplayer with some friends, upping the number of enemies and enemy health would be my recommendations to make your gameplay slightly more challenging.

yall could also try making it harder on yourselves by leaning into the specific builds. ie, one player is a mage, the other is a archer, the last is a warrior. It could be harder to "solo" everything when your stats are skewed to favor a specific build arc.

Yrah, they aren't finished. For the building system the only way they could make it work is if you have at least 1 of that block type in your inventory - it will draw others from your storage. Doesn't do much for small builds but it's still nice for large builds involving multiple stacks. That part of it is still a work in progress

Well done! I have always found myself without mats to make additional pickaxes lol. You probably already did this, but I find it easier to get out by working across the face of the rock rather than straight through it. Congrats on the save!!

I have been playing from the beginning. I leave it on normal unless I am trying to do something quick then I make it easy but I played on normal setting for most of my levels

It procks plenty for me

then once we got gems I just use necro gems and I always carry skull pots for if I get in trouble

but you have to to hallowed Halls to strt getting the sskull pots and you may be too early in the game

🤔 SUGESTION - wouldn't it be cool that once you are back at your base home, you could just open ANY chest and just select the option - "put away in respective chest" without having to guess and open each chest among hundreds in your vast warehouse ?! i always have 1 magic chest and 1 repair table next to the teleport Flame so that i can empty my backpack when i return from foraging... but yet i need to do a Triage and organize items after a while.
