I figured it out. The order is determined by the order you add the spells to your inventory, and this is "done" or reset every time you log in. So if I need to change the order without logging out, I have to put the spells into a chest and then put them back in in the order I want them. Or, just rearrange them as you said, row by row, left to right, and then relog.

Different question, where exactly do I get Shroud Particles? All the posts I see on the internet seems to be before patch, so the normal fell enemies just drop Shroud Spores, not Particles.

You can (and should) take nodes from multiple trees. The devs actually recommend being diverse and having nodes from multiple trees and there are plenty of skill points to have a main stat and a secondary stat

Like, planning to focus on int doesn't mean you're locked into only taking blue nodes, in fact all builds at very minimum should be taking some con and armor nodes from the tank tree for survivability

the problem with spreading out too much is that you cant take higher end stuff. (also wasting valuable points on skills you dont want.)
This was something I really liked about TL2, the skill tree didnt have branches, skills were only locked behind levels instead of levels AND previous skills.

I mean sure, but that's why you pick a main to focus on and a secondary to back it up. Like you can focus on blue nodes, get to the upper areas of those trees, and still have points left over to grab say the warrior tree nodes for increased damage. Or you can specaize further, since you aren't using wands you can skip most of that branch and put those points into melee instead

That's the issue, right now it's absolutely not worth it. As is at max flame you're spending 5 points for 3 stat points

So it's only worth it in the sense if you have 5 points knocking around and nothing else to spend them on, it is a stat boost, but cost vs what you're getting it's just an expensive way to get an extra 3 stats

ya, kind of, so set up an altar on the cliff overlooking the first shroud well.

you can make a little ramp to jump off of, but you can ghlide straight to the well, run down, kill the boss, loot his body, quit out, and then load back in.

You won't be confused, but depending on how far you were, you will have to do a bunch of low level stuff for a while

Oh and depending on when you stopped, some recipes switched NPCs and, of course, some recipes have changed.

i am only level 8 and i don't even know where to begin. i have 10 quests for embervale r something and quests for flameborn. i don't even know which ones to do or where to start. honestly i fell a little overwhelmed more than anything. oh well

Just go to any quest you feel like. There's no right order. You do need to do the crafters' quests to get more quests, but seriously, the game is free form, do what you want in the order you want. It won't hurt anything

hmm, imho at early-mid game, go for higher level/damage instead of sticking too close to a type.

Also, you'll still be leveling quite quickly, so even if you get an optimal mace at level 13/14, you'll be several levels higher very soon

For one handed with intrinsic blunt though, I think you can get drops for Fearsome, Metalstar, or Twin Soul around that level

I think around level 15? depending on build and gear

But you can always try scouting areas early. Just empty your backpack beforehand if you're playing on default settings.

I first fought the Wispwyvern as a 1h melee build and I don't remember it being too tough to dodge and attack its tail.

Guys, is there a performance difference when playing on a hosted Server such as Nitrado or playing it on like the usual singleplayer world?

i really wonder, cus i played this game months ago, and had a nice time with stable fps.. now i came back for a bit of fun with my friends, tried it on a nitrado server and i get like 50 fps MAX. sure i can get like 90-100 ish but then it looks awful.

Well you introduce the possibility of network performance issues obviously, but generally speaking the game performance itself (like framerate) should be relatively unchanged.

Of course, there are things associated with multiplayer that can also harm performance. Like a world that has a lot of buildings/props, or the activities of other players.

Possibly, though a performance hit that big is a little surprising. Have you tried tweaking your graphics settings? And are your gpu drivers up to date?

We had some shader reworks, but we took a lot of care in optimizing them so they shouldn't have had a massive impact on performance like that

i remember playing it with my GF, shes also experiencing serious drop in performance, we're both on AMD so maybe thats just something playing a part here..

Im using 6700 XT and Ryzen 7 7700x or sth.

i can play most games no issue 100 fps+ so i was suprised my PC couldnt handle this charm of a game after a little bit of a break.

i did however tried some Graphic setting changes, but those are just like way too much of a cost, such as blurry textures.. bad rendering distance, really tanks in Gameplay enjoyement if you ask me.

I'm a little shocked you're getting that low on a 6700 XT honestly, that's not a bad card. I run a 3060 which is pretty much an objectively worse card and easily get over 100fps.

Have you enabled FSR? Because that can help framerates a fair bit without lowering the visual quality too much

Sadly for my Card FSR looks pretty bad... its either super blurry if i try it with performance mod, or pretty much "no difference" if i turn it up to Quality, what i mean by that is it looks worse but runs like TAA

That's the reason I never update my GPU drivers immediately after a new version comes out, too often it tends to cause more issues than help, I will also say I have no issues on my desktop with an AMD card, I'm still on 25.5.1 from April

We do put a lot of work into optimization honestly, but it's just generally quite difficult to optimize a high fidelity voxel based game.

I think the fact that the entire world is voxel based, while not really looking like a voxel game, makes the game feel like it's extremely poorly optimized. The simple truth is that voxels are extremely demanding on GPUs, especially VRAM, so even though on the surface the world might look similar to another static world game, it's significantly more demanding.

That said, yeah, there's always room for more optimization, and it has been and will continue to be one of our top priorities. Thralls of Twilight's shader reworks definitely introduced some performance issues on some rigs that we are working on improving.

According to AMD's Adrenalin software I average 99.9 fps with a 7900XTX, that's 3440x1440 with FRS off.

Our game isn't on unity, Enshrouded is built on our own custom engine
(which is part of the problem too, any optimization we do has to be done from scratch, no engine updates we can rely on 😅)
