Is the server by default replenishing mines and veins etc? Is there a way to make it more realistic in that once you deplete a particular source of a material, it's no longer there?

Every area outside of your flame altars resets every 30 minutes (unloaded for 30 minutes) and/or on game restart. There is no way to turn this off, as on top of allowing for infinite resources in a finite world, it is also keeping the same files within acceptable limits for performance and optimization.

Just an fyi, if you just start typing / you'll see a box popup with a list of your regularly used commands and on the left of that the blue 'sapphire' icon will give you a full list of bot commands you have access to ^^ If you're on PC at least.

There are a kind of "miniboss" so you won't find a lot of them in one place - It's usually just easier to farm a ton of shroud mobs and craft the spores into cores

This one Elixir well in Albaneve with 3 roots, I honestly upped mob density for more spores/cores (Banshees get 3x + with more Loot you're faster too)
That one Elixir Well down in Kindlewastes near the Ghost Glider Tower

Yeah, each time someone loads the area. the timer resets

So if someone checks it after 25 minutes, now you're waiting 55 minutes total for the respawn

Even early there's no shortage of scavengers if you explore all the POIs

Not specifically. Like, it runs on deck now, just not amazingly, and optimization is an ongoing process

But it's nothing they've mentioned as a near-term goal. I think after 1.0 when they're looking at various console ports it's something that might be more of a focus, just speaking from my own understanding

That said deck is a challenge for a game like this considering it only has 4gb VRAM. At launch they worked to get it to that threshold but while the game runs on 4gb, technically I think the minimum recommended is still 6 or 8

I managed to get it working once on the Steam Deck and only once because later attempts says that the GPU basically crapped itself

Higher "level" materials are harder to mine than the previous ones. You don't notice it as much with steel tools until silver, but it's the same when you are running around with scrap tools and trying to get iron.

Was the update fixed so that you now receive items when you build in a town? We built in Kelvin's Rest and couldn't complete the flowerpot quest. And the NPC at the top of the tower can't be removed. Is that possible with this update?

No, the problem is already known. It has to do with the fact that if you build in a location where there is a quest after an update, you cannot unlock recipes, for example, for the server.

It's generally been cautioned against building in POIs on a main save file specifically because the map is in flux and because of how altars work, changes won't be seen. Better to use a secondary save file for your rehab projects until 1.0
