yeah I am done with bare bones EA games. It's frustrating for me because I see all the things they need to add or improve and it's a lifetime before they do, if they do.

Enshrouded is the only exception to EA where I was pleasantly suprized. Every other EA game just led to frustration.

Idk, for some games I like watching them evolve and grow over time, but in the case of Dragonwilds there just isn't enough to get invested in yet IMO. Magic and Archery systems aren't implemented yet and the building is extremely basic

Plus it uses that Valheim structural integrity system, meaning that with only early game materials you're going to be extremely limited on what you can even do with those

Like I think literally you only have basic wood pieces to work with right now

Yeah I mean I've seen games with early access and it's pretty much all that is completed is the environment not even including wildlife. Just grass and trees and walking around.

But you only have, let's say around $ 659.68
I incline towards 2. 5060 Ti, because it's price is dropping the most in my country and for my needs in 1400p it would be enough I think. How much better would it be in Enshrouded compared to 6700 xt (I had to play on medium settings to have stable fps, but a lot of fps ~120)

but really I had like a 15 x 20 crop field and it was enough - just grow early and grow often.

Personally I find it helps to intersperse 'big' games with smaller, more concise ones. Metroidvanias really help to mix up the half dozen or so survivals/longer games I have on my plate

Honestly, Enshrouded was a freak occurrence on all levels. After a bunch of stinkers I swore off EA games, and I fell in love with it before I even reached the starting town location.

Sadly not as of yet. Gotta go to the Revelwood & start chopping. I hope they add at least smaller versions of the Revelwood hardwood trees that you can plant (along with my ever growing list of random shrubs, succulents & cacti that I've been wanting to be made plantable as well).

I've found the best way to keep critters in their pens is to use half-height walls with fences on top... At least it has worked for keeping my errant farm animals in their pasture where they belong.

Okay, so let me say this bit... For those looking for a whole new biome/zone - there isn't one this update. That being said, since the updates made to the Shrouded areas likely apply to pretty much every area of Shroud on the map, that ironically is bigger than a whole new biome would be. Therefore, while you're not getting a brand new biome, your getting just as much if not more content than you would in a new biome.

basically the altar saves changes in the area within its borders, which are visible when you place it or when you have the construction hammer active on your hotbar selection.

If you keep the flame altar in a location where you destroy the building, the building stays gone.

If you use the altar to get all those materials, then remove the altar, once the area hits the reset timer, then the building comes back. The reset timer is 30 minutes with no players in the area while the game is running, or just server shutdown/relaunch (ie log to main menu and log back in if you're playing solo on your own game).

On dedicated servers that don't shut down, you pretty much have to wait the 30 minutes unless you are the server admin and have setup a reset script or can restart the server manually.

A number of the red nodes do affect daggers though. In particular the nodes along warrior for cutting and piercing damage, as well as the one for crit with melee weapons. Also the stun/parry nodes in berserker do. Parry is one of the daggers best skills

The other being the heavy attack if you swing, delay for like half a second, and swing again
You'll get a 2 handed overhead swipe that does significant damage and a small AOE in front of you like a cleave

There's a good one for rings on the eastern side of the map. There's a fort almost directly east of the ancient spire, if you fight your way to the top there's a chest, and just below there's a bridge where you can place an altar just outside of the range of the chest, which will also eliminate the enemy spawns. You can run up grabbing materials and the chest as much as you like

I love the aspect of vrising having a very balanced part of crafting and fighting bosses. I personally like housing/crafting but just to a little extent.

2. Are there real classes planed for release or does it stay with the current skill tree with mostly passivs only (if i saw that correct)?

I haven't played Vrising yet, but I would say Enshrouded is a very story-rich world that is driven more by exploration that (acidentally?) hit on a magic combination that has made it into an unparalleled building game as well. While combat is a part of the game, I would say it comes after exploration and building

For the first, it's a blend. It's got a focus on both but there are certain points like in V Rising where you have to defeat a certain area or boss to unlock progression, so I'd call it relatively similar but not quite as combat focused as V. For the second, afaik no, the entire intention of the "class" system is to be freeform and allow players to build how they want and still be effective

I haven't played V Rising recently enough to answer the first one, but for 2, it kinda depends on what you mean by classes. The tree has several difference sections, and generally most players will find themselves building into specific archetypes like ranger, warrior, mage, etc. The skill tree has several components that actively change your playstyle and are more than just passive stat increases.

I don't think we ever plan to "force" players into specific class roles, but yeah it depends on what they mean by "classes"

Like, Enshrouded doesn't really have a class "system" more of a class "guideline" where the idea of classes only exist to give you a reasonable expectation of where those skills fall. There's no hardline "You're a mage and you're a warrior" kind of thing. You take what you want

Well the abilities are kinda tied to weapons, for example you won't be able to do a ground slam with a bow, or cast spells with a sword

But it's not like V Rising where the weapons themselves are tied to your entire moveset

That's correct. There are some certain attacks that are weapon based that you do on input, IE; daggers gain a heavy attack if you swing, delay for half a second, then swing again. Skill tree wise there aren't many combat abilities, you gain things like merciless attack that lets you do a pre-animated attack on a single stunned enemy, jump attack that lets you do AOE with a melee weapon, or beesting, that lets you slow time while in the air and drawing a bow to pepper enemies from above, but the special attacks are less robust than V Rising overall. Combat is more about preparation and approach based on your food/build/weapons/armor

If you are thinking of getting the game, though. Enshrouded is an amazing game designed by an amazing team. It's been very stable and polished since the very beginning. It quickly became my favorite game to play. Many of us in here have over 1000 hours in the game.

Well, he's comparing to V Rising in the sense that every weapon has like 3 or 4 different attacks that have different effects. It's pretty robust but I would say different to Enshrouded, not necessarily better/worse or more complex/more simple

Nah it has that. Certain progression items are tied to boss kills or clearing dungeons

Like, it's not to the degree of V because V has like what, 50 bosses that each unlock a skill or progression item? Like, it's focused on that xD

Though shroud roots and elixer wells are similar, because you have to clear a dungeon or boss for most of your skill points

The game is really what you make of it. Being honest, it does need a little bit of love in the combat department, but mostly in the balancing areas as you would expect for a game in early access. I don't find the combat boring, and it feels very natural to me.

I'll say it as many times as I can but V Rising is really, really good. Combat is fluid and excellent with a lot of build diversity, building is surprisingly great for a top down game, the survival elements are handled really well with your "food" being blood because different blood types give different buffs plus the day/night element is frankly inspired, and the vibes are just top notch off-the-charts good
