Another game sort-off solved your request with another neat solution.
An (end-game) illumination item. Standing / wall lamps.
However you could interact with the lamp and put something in.
Like we could add a item to a weapon holder
You put in an item of color in the lamp and the illumination changes to that color.
It's glow would affect nearby building pieces making them appear to have a different color altogether.

So I confirmed one of the best places to farm feathers is the Draconian Vulture Nest, east of the Nomad shrine. Bunch of vultures there, you can single shot and get the right angle when they swoop upward to slash them. Also it's close to poison sacks which is needed as well to create poison steel arrows

There's other drops in their nests there as well

They need to make the save files available to all. Someone is going to take it the next step and stating making other LOTR locations on the same save file. Or is money involved?

Making multiple large builds on the same save is going to be troublesome, 1 because you'll run out of altars and 2 if you use something like cheat engine to get more altars, it can highly impact performance.

The reason water is difficult is because of the calculations required in a game world where almost ALL the environment is deformable. liquids flow with gravity, so having to constantly check "is my block surrounded on all sides i could flow from?" every tick gets extremely computationally intense. They have said they plan to add water so i hope they figured out a good way to do it that doesnt make it take a lot processor power, but that is the main reason why its hard to do in a voxel game with adjustable landforms.

games with water often just have a water table that remains at a set level. Look at valheim, it has deformable land and water but the water doesnt flow downhill, its all at the same level. If you dig deep enough in the middle of an island water just appears at the bottom of the hole when you pass the water level. Don't get me wrong, water looks amazing in valheim, but there are always limitations to how water gets implemented because of it being a liquid that flows downhill.

Yeah, since it's using Unity Valheim basically has a "cake" kind of format, where the top layer you can deform is the "icing" and below that is the "cake part" where water and the physical barrier 'bedrock' is

FPS is probably a big culprit. Especially so inconsistent FPS. I used to get motion sick a lot with older 30FPS first person games, but once they started hitting 60 and above regularly I was fine

Hosting the server is fine if we're playing at the same time, but is it possible to continue playing the world separately without having to turn on the host PC or your computer?

Like, after the midway point when the world opened up and you had choices Chrono could be a little like that, but not to the same level

But by the same token Chrono had such a tight, well told story that I'm not sure you could really break it up in the same way

Though TBF Chrono had a dream team of Square and Enix RPG designers at the height of their craft, I'm not sure another situation like that will happen again in the same way xD

I'd advise against going public and letting anyone in. Far too many stories of servers getting wrecked and progress lost because some idiot stole a bunch of stuff and sabotaged the server by deleting the alters before leaving. It really sucks if there wasn't a recent save backed up.

I would strongly recommend trying to do at least some filtering of applications, so you can eliminate the obvious malicious people.

If you're the server owner then you should have the option to choose who has access to certain things. I'd be careful about who you trust and make sure you do at least a daily backup save just in case there's a problem, that way you at least only lose 1 day's progress.

The game runs on a brand new custom built engine. Since it's the first game ever made in the engine, they don't have years and dozens of games worth of experience to make optimizing quite as good as they'd like. You can certainly refund it and wait until the end of Early Access, that is an option if you feel it's not good enough now.

Double jump is recommended early for any build to traverse the land eazier
The vertical displacement can get you out of those situations. Especially if you get some footing on higher ground. Giving you a few seconds to regain stamina for example. Camille tea is obtained pretty early and the passive hp regen is lovely.

Depending on your partners ranged build and what level your are @.
There are some options to spawn orbs that regen 10% hp, stam or mana (like quite often).
There is another talent in the line of 4th food slot that buffs the regen value of hp and stam orbs from 10% to 30%.
The melee can do a lot of selfhealing by dealing crits and finisher moves while you can dash roll, i mean blink into HP orbs for some instant regen.

Last but not least.. replacing dash with blink also offers the connected talent option to break a stun by blinking.
This is going to be very useful to get out of a sticky situation where you are overwhelmed and stunlocked.
